@ Nowshin: really nice recreation of Tyrande, you've created a really beautifyl character. On the pic, Tyrande's hair seems to be a bit more blue than the hair of your character.

Are you asking if you alter the base tat file, will it alter the tat throughout the game?  If you alter the base file, then yes it probably would.  If you alter the base file and were to save the altered file under a new name, not saving the changes on the original file, then it shouldn't.  Here again, not having really altered tat files, I am speaking theoretically here.

My problem is that now after installing DA:O new NaChaya has another tattoo - and not the original created one. I'm rather helpless what to do and how. If I can't solve the problem I have to think how to explain this in my story.

I have no new NaChaya - my game saves are still normal and fine. I lost only all dl-mods and my .mrh files
NaChaya is still a CC creation

hmm. it sounds like you either need to edit the save file, or you need to recreate her CC face in the toolset (and then edit the save file as normal).

anyone else have thoughts?

The pics of Kiara (did I get the name right?) look really impressive. Far more time must have gone into the character than I can spare, although I would like to.

Anyway, made some changes to my PC's face after all your kind comments. She borrowed Morrigan's dress for the photoshoot.

Try Yasu's suggestion.  When you reloaded DA:O, and used the old save, it sounds like things got lost in translation.  Ideally, the save game has a set of parameters it is trying to pull from, and some of these parameters (files) are missing or just got jumbled.  Re-download the files you had to make her, and see if you can recreate her, then edit the save game.  That is about the best advice I can give.  

That, or rename the tat file from the original character version to override the tat on the new rendition, but this might subsequently alter some of the tats you see in game.  

Or, delete any mods you currently have, try to redownload them, and replace the mods you used to create her, and load up the save game and see if that works.

Branwen looks as if she's bored!

Crebainne's Nostrils seem to need widened & her Eyes need narrowed. She's cute otherwise.

mochen: Errol is cool! He looks like a Warrior Santa!  (The name is interesting to see too, because it reminds me of the Errol in the Harry Potter books, where he's an elder Owl. )

Kiara's Eyes might be just a tad too small, but otherwise, she's epic!

For your Tattoo problem, I think I remember that there is some kinda weird bug in the CC that screws up at reading the Character File for Dalish Elves & Dwarf Commoners & screws up the Tattoo. The bug's been around since the Standalone CC, & never got fixed that I know of. I 2nd the notion to recreate the Character in the Toolset. (Edit: Ahh, I see your Comparison Pics now. I recognize the old one as a BioWare Default Tattoo, & the offending one looks like it may be a Mod Tattoo, so this makes me wonder if the Mod Tattoo is overriding the BioWare Default one. This may entail seeking this Tattoo & removing it from your Override Folder, or renaming it to something else, or some such, to get it to quit overriding the Default Tattoo.)

Verywierd: These Pics are good, but we also need a 3rd Pic of her that looks straight into her face to properly gauge her Anatomy.

This is true.  The way around it was to rename the tat files to override the base Dalish/Dwarf files, or you possibly edit the saved game, which I have never tried personally, but is NaCh Dalish?

she's a human mage. LadyAly, I know it might be a pain to recreate her in the toolset (I had a hell of a time recreating Rhaelyn way back when), but it's possible.

That's what I thought, but I am half asleep today and had to ask-_-

If you can find that tat file, copy it and rename the copy to override the offending human mage tat file, that would do it (personally, I've never found the base tat files), other than that, go the recreation route and edit the saved game.

YAY - Thx to all
It was indeed a downloaded Tattoo Pack which has overwrite the old tattoo. So I deleted one tattoo pack after the other to find out which one probably cause the problem. I found it and removed it from the override folder to make it simple ( I kept it on a another place for a possible later use - cause that are nice dalish tattoos )

Glad we were able to lead you in the right direction, and I am glad it worked out.  I thought it sounded like a missing file, but I wasn't certain, not knowing how the character was initially made (hence my little parameters diatribe).

Now, if I could just figure out how to do this eye texture creation thing, I'd be a happy camper.

So many beautiful Female elves and humans being done. Well done everybody. I wish I could just do a little more with my female elf though. I am running her through Awakening now and get here level up to 35 to face Morrigan in WitchHunt and face the Golems of Amgarrak.

@Nowshin, excellent rendition of Tyrande. I never liked her as a character, but I'm loving the version you made of her.

@mochen, Kiara is one badass, awesome and quite beautiful looking elf, and also, as people have mentioned, never seen that tattoo before, did you make it?

@Chairon de Celeste, I'm fairly certain that it's not dust that's the problem, as I've always been notorious to keep my computer free from it. It'd be a lot easier if the darn thing would just make some error sounds of kinds, but no.
- your elf is lovely, she looks as if she could be the tanned sister of your avatar picture. Branwen is cool, she looks like she's a capable warrior.

@LadyAly, Lalena is stunning. I love the use of purple colours, and that tattoo suits her perfectly.

@megalust, I've probably said it before, but I really like your way of making elves. You've got a nice way of using red, white and black togheter, and an interesting way of molding your elves.


Felt like making something a bit different from what I usually make, and eventually ended up with a.. pale, demon'ish lady that likes to lure people into her little lair. Also, because I felt like using the nipple-clips robe, 'cause it's fun.

Verywierd: Ahh, much better. I think you should widen the Nose Bridge, Nose Tip, & Nostrils just a little to a bit. Optionally, it might also be worth a try to small the Cornea a little, but not too much. I like her, she looks spunky & fun!

@megalust:  Gnarella..  she certainly is "gnarly"  Over all I really like this design.. but my preferrence would be a different eye texture,, but that's my preference  - she holds her own in game..
Irulara..  dark elf, mysterious origin..  yep..  she looks alien.
nameless one..  hmmmm  interesting.. she looks like a cat with those eyes..  but strangely enough the composition is unique and it works..

@LadyAly:  Yeah I like the long hair on Quinton... I think it just looked a little too slicked back..  but I really can't decide between the two..  Maybe play them both Ha Ha..   thank you for the comments on Zahara
I like the design of Alex Cousland.. but the eyeliner look is a little bothersome..

@Justanotherstoner: Durin  He is a really nice design- the color composition is good and "crisp" ..  I can see why you like him for your Avatar..  sometimes if you switch your textures you can control things like the scars.. (oops I see that Schratty already suggested that)

@Thanatos9t:  Your first attempt at a cutom character is very good..  Unless you are going for something in particular with the color of his tatoo I may suggest the dark read or brown for his tatoo.

@Ibaru88:  Your human noble has good proportions... and a great canvas to work with.. try different skin textures for some uniqueness and go from there..

@meathook:  Trixie..  She's a lovely design and I like the color combination with her eyes and lips..  the fair skin with the dark hair..  nice use of the dark and light

@awpdevil:  Your mage looks nice but need more pics and close ups

@Bitterfoam:  Bruiser..  he is a neat dwarf unique and nice composition..  and I like the "pretty" skin.. it's very unusual

Schratty, here's what may help.

Go to:

My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\modules

Delete the folder called "Single Player".

That should fix the problem.
