Probably my final entry for the contest (it's funny how I ended up making new characters when I was the one who complained about being lazy :innocent:). Rexus Amell (yes it is a KH reference shut up:P), a mage with an extraordinary harrowing.



When he finished his test after defeating the pride demon, it seemed like a clean harrowing with no problems. But actually what happened was different-since he was someone who had been indulging in blood magic as an apprentice (who do you think gave Jowan that idea? he's too dumb to think for himself ), he defeated the pride demon and took it power as his own...which manifested slowly as he journeyed across Ferelden.

What wonderful designs you all are showing off here!! So many are simply stunning, great work all around. I especially am in awe of Schratty's Morning Star! Truly a nice combo of both parents. ;-) And Nowshin, your Night Elf is AMAZING!!! It would be so cool to get glowy eyes like they have, then I could make a smexy Blood Elf. haha

Do you use the toolset or the CC? You can use the eye textures if you use the toolset. Hmm, maybe I'll add a couple of elf presets with glowing eyes in my mod.

@Schratty Outstanding concept and execution on your latest design, I believe you should give yourself a pat on the back for this one. The amount of thought you put into it is very evident from the attire chosen for your entranced templar to the flawless texturing on both characters. Excellent job I am quite impressed.



@Nowshin For Rexus I think you did a great job of constructing an appearance that represents his description well. He has an overconfident and smug expression with a lingering sinister undertone that appears to take shelter behind his smile. I would say it is an expression that someone would have when they hold information in their possession that no one else has. Also just for good measure he looks like he could be pretty persuasive as well.



This is a concept I have been working on involving a male city elf who was saved from bandits by a mysterious female Dalish elf whose appearance was almost completely shrouded in shadows from the trees of the Bercelian Forest. He then proceeded to seek her out and express his gratitude and eventually found the settlement of her clan. She was not fond of "flat ears" and thought his words were groundless so he joined her clan on their travels, worked hard and became an honorary member all the while generating stronger feelings for her. She was amused by his adamant attitude but would not be won over so easily.

Thanks, Mochen. I have to say that it is not as brilliant as your designs, for instance the Errol one, but still... I kinda wanted to give him this friedly look whilst still maintaining this "hero-type" charisma :]

As for the screenshots, I am a PS3 user so I don't know how to make those. I just snapped a couple of pics with my phone whilst the moment lasted in the TV

@Lady Aly - Thanks. This City Elf is my first character and the only storyline that I actually completed :]

@Schratty - Wow, now I don't know if you are that good, or it was totally unintentional flattery. Because I felt realy flattered by your question! Thanks! As I said eralier, I am just a PS3 user and this character was 100% made with the options included in the original version of the game.

BTW, your Templar and his Little Girl Master is just too cool

@Avatahunter: Love the background for your new characters. Hans has a confident expression that shows he's willing to work hard to get what he wants, and Gemma perfectly fits the description of a strong, hard to get beauty. And I like your application of less intense tattoos, I don't like it much when more than half of a character's face is covered in them.



P.S. What hair did you use on Hans? Haven't seen that before.

Actually from my understanding it is a discontinued hair mod like nero hair but it is exclusively for male elves. I have had it for a pretty long time now I just never applied it to any designs, forgot I had it really. I am also not a fan of the full face tattoos as well, this is my usual approach towards dalish tattoos.

Anyway, it looks to me like something odd is going on with the Forehead Tattoo on the head's Upper Left, our Upper Right, just before it ducks under the Hair. I still think it looks like some kind of Graphics Glitch, where that little spot of the Tattoo doesn't look the same as the rest of the Forehead Tattoo. Can ya re-post the Pic please?

Yeah, that's a really cool hair mod.

Come to think of it, I don't recognize half of the mods used on the page before. I'm pretty sure I have all of the mods but there's some in there I don't know where in the blazes they are.:ph34r:

@Nowshin - That Awakening rendition of Rexus is pretty rocking. I like that you have two renditions of him, and a story to go with it.



@Avatar - I dig your elves there. They have a very natural, woodsy look to them. I think you captured a good Dalish look there.



@Chairon - That is a good shot of Branwen. You seem to have a good talent for capturing natural looks there.



And Pete, Mochen, Schratty, and I am sure I am missing a few names from the previous pages, but there is just a lot of good stuff to comment on. Keep up the good work guys.



Alright, here is my latest, my city elf rogue, Amage (I had an old rendition of her, but long since deleted that one). As soon as I get her in some proper gear, I'll get some armor and weapon shots for her, but for now, here is my scarred, blind in one eye beauty.

@Chairon de Celeste, I think it might just be my monitor in general that's going around dying on me. But hey, as long as I don't actually turn off the computer, everything works fine. <.<
- Lycante looks pretty neat, kind of an alternative Leliana look about her.

@Petehog, your lady there looks really cool, that tattoo and hairstyle really suits her. She looks awesome. I also really like your angry looking Morrigan, she's a nice blend of the original and more anger.

@Bitterfoam, Dalish elves are a pain, at least if you want to be lore friendly about them. And so is male elves. But you've got a good base on your guy there, the orange tattoo is an original touch, although as has been said before, you might want to tone it down a tad. You could try giving him brown eyes, and I'd make him look a bit less gaunt.

@Nowshin, Morag looks awesome, and I love the background story you gave him, he looks like he's seen his share of fighting. You really made Liami look cold and beautiful, I love her facial expression. Krathos is quite handsome, and has a nice devious look about him. I'd probably have put him in the blackend leather armour tbh. I like both versions of Rexus, but I like the second version best I think.

@Schratty, The Morning Star is pretty darn awesome, he looks like an adorable but deadly puppy, pretty much how I imagined Morrigan and Alistairs spawn to look like.
- Legion and Delilah is seriously creepy, awesome and just.. wow. It looks like something out of a horror movie, absolutely creeptastically wonderful!

@mochen, I love Torana, she looks amazing. I really like the way you used those tattoos on her, and the overall use of colours, she's amazing.

@AvatarHunter, I was actually thinking of having Kazena as a vanity demon, hah. Your two new human ladies are quite nice, Dawn is cute but with a slightly haunted look in her eyes, whilst Winnie is plain but pretty, very normal looking, which I like.
- Haans is handsome, and he looks like Link, from the Zelda games, or well, mostly just Twilight Princess, which is mostly due to the hair, not a bad thing as I love Link . Pretty awesome design, though. I remember seeing that hair around, I regrent not downloading it really. Gemma has a tough look about her, beautiful and strong. I quite like them both.

@Armasil, your elf looks pretty good, a very solid male elf design for sure, and quite the handsome hero.

@Wyldsong, Amage is very nice, is that the eye texture mochen used on her lost templar? I really like it on her. The tattoo is a nice touch as well.

I've been working on making Wynne for a while now. I have never liked the original Wynne, nor most of the mods out there for her as they tend to go more after the vanilla version. So, I decided I'd base mine of the concept art for Wynne. I'm aware that people might not agree with me that she should look like this, but seeing as this is for my own personal use, I don't mind.
I didn't want her to be young, nor old as a boot. More like a pretty lady that's aged gracefully and still has her beauty, and I'm pretty happy about how the turned out.

I'm also finally done tweaking my Leliana, a change of hair and some facial tweaks and I think she's finally done. At least I'm happy with her now.

@Nowshin - The blind eye effect is one I have been trying to figure out. DarthParametric did an eye texture for human males that I think Mochen used, so I was messaging with him, and he ended up making a texture that would work for all races.



@Neveri - You need to give me that .mor for Leliana and Wynne=)
