@Nowshin, the beauty spot above Leliana's lips is from a skin mod I have, which I'm not really sure where I got from, but I'll look around and pm you if I find it.
- Araisha is really pretty, and I love the fact that you gave her grey hair and not making her look old. It suits her.
- Miki does look sweet, and like she's constantly worried about something, makes me want to give her a hug and a cookie.
- Shina is really cool, nice job on making that skin tone work and the use of black and white all over is really neat, especially like the fact that you made her armour match as well.
- Ephemera looks lovely with her hair down, also the pic with her and Alistair is adorable. ^^
- Meroka might look like an elven Morrigan, but I think she looks rather good and not that much like Morrigan, really.
- Your Orlesian warden elf looks quite the mean guy, blood mage ahoy!
- I so misread Mailey Teris as Miley Cyrus. She does look somewhat starved, though, and not all that happy about things. Personally I think her facial expression is perfect, but instead of the rough skin you could try adding a scar of sorts?
- Yui is cool, love the blue hair and the ninja'ness.

@Wyldsong, I'd be happy to share my Wynne and Leliana with you, if you want.
- Voran looks awesome, badass and he has a somewhat smug look on his face, under all those scars and the tattoo, which look rather awesome on him.
- Myra is effing awesome, she looks anything but happy, I dig her!
- Cordawyr made me giggle, he looks just as you said, insane and somewhat demented, love the smile on his face.

@mochen, that... is one seriously scary looking kid. It's like, nightmare haunting scary. o__o

@Petehog, slightly twisted elf? I'd call that way twisted, and awesomely creepy.

@LadyAly, I'll release my companions to anyone who wants them, but I doubt I'll post them anywhere, really.
- Nyra is very lovely, as always a very good use of colours, I also really like the shape of her eyes.
- Greta is, well, great. She's beautiful, looks dangerous and I really like that scar on her, she is amazing.<3

@AvatarHunter, I had some serious problems making Wynne, but once I rememberd that she actually looks awesome in her concept art, it went a bit easier.
- Kiros looks like a friendly and nice guy, I absolutely love the shape of his face and the overall colouring on him.
- Kaeko looks like a sly little vixen, not the friendliest of elves but she is beautiful, and it looks as if she knows it.
- Adonis, I can't help but think of him as an elven looking Loghain. It might be facial expression combined with the hair and all, not a bad thing, though. I actually think he is rather awesome.

@Saerwen, I like Aranel's dark and mysterious look, I'm also a fan of that tattoo you've used on her.
- Valkrie is quite pretty, actually. She's got a stern, and somewhat sad look about her. I love her eyes.

@Caladhiel, Sita is a really nice look elf, you've captured that downtrodden look very well on her. I also like those scars on her, they fit quite well.

@Eudaemonium, your human noble lady does have a regal and sophisticated look about her, and at the same time she looks like she knows how to handle herself in battle. She's lovely, really.
- Kallian looks awesome with those eyes, it just fits her overall look perfectly.

carta name: Minouche - her magically altered right eye grants her a cat's night vision.

warden name: Dusk (Daveth compared her with dusk during their Korcari Wilds mission:
'You're like dusk - the last thing our enremies behold.'
Minouche without her warpaint - wedding day, after all (later, as a warden she decided against war paints)

Joining aftermath:
The loss of so many people she'd liked (Neleros, Daveth, Duncan, (...)) had hit her hard
- Dusk cried in her sleep for a long time.
Only Sten was able to comfort her when he carried her in his arms like a baby during the party's night marches.

I wanted to make a girl that wouldn't fit into a ''Prettiest Princess'' contest, so I made Gnaria. A rather charming dwarven lady in the Legion of the Dead, and by the looks of it, close to death herself. She was actually quite fun to make.

I've been working on this lady for a while now, but I was stuck on what hair to use on her. Only just today rememberd the Ren's hair, which I rarely use at all. But I think this style fits her quite well.
She's a sweet girl and a devil with a bow. She knows that sweetness will only get you that far, after that an arrorow in someones eye usually does the rest. She could be like, Leliana's sister, only less religious.

@Cala - Thanks for the compliments. I may play around with Myra and try the suggestions. The main thing I like about her look right now is that the design is almost akin to a predatory animal. Ah well, about to shower and get my stuff together for a day of fun at work in the morning. We'll see what happens when next I get to sit down and look them over.

Heaven knows what I'll do when DA2 comes out ("WHAT IS THIS CHARACTER CREATION SCREEN!!!?") Alexander has a pretty solid design. I particularly like the stubble and the eyes. My first HNF, SnS warrior. I wanted her to look sophisticated and regal (also, I never make blonde characters, so I wanted that to be different). She's also very much a woman's woman, so its all Leliana for her - once I get out of the Origin...


 

And secondly, an old favourite of mine, my ever-embittered and scarred Kallian Tabris. This change was inspired by Wyldsong and the knowledge that you can actually have two different eyes, also I wanted to make a few changes before her final adventure next Tuesday. So she's cut her hair short again, instead of the ponytail she had for Awakening. I actually wanted her to be blind or at least cloudy on one side since the start, but didn't actually know how to do it. I had to ask DP for some guidance on shifting the blind eye to the appropriate side of the face, since all of his defaults had it on the right side as opposed to the left. I think it turned out fairly well. Anyway, without further ado:



I have to admit, I think this threa has spoiled me. Every time I Bioware announces teh characters for a new DLC I just sit there thinking they look hopelessly generic and boring.

But I do use toolset 99% of the time for all of my characters(I do mostly female characters in toolset) and their hair color matches my own color as 95% of my characters I make have the same color hair too.

I'm back well kinda, I'm still impossibily busy and dying in this sweltering Canadian heat (seriously it's crazy hot right now) but I've got at least a little bit of free time. I haven't made anything new since I was doing those Orlesian Warden designs but I have been going through all my characters and making little edits and tweaks to them, just generally obssessing over minor details. So the usual.

@Nowshin I know this is from a while back but Araisha your Elf is really beautiful the only thing I could say about her is to darken the brows, it's always good to have them defined and a bit darker than the hair.

@LadyAly Nyra Mahariel is good, ears are a bit big for my liking but don't let that bother you. The only thing I can say is just some general stuff about my experince with the Jaheria hair mesh, for whatever reason it tends to totally wash the face out when set to any tint that isn't dark brown or black. Maybe a colour combo change might be something to look into for her.

@Caladhiel Sit has to be counted among the best Elf designs I've seen here, she's exceptional to say the least. Love that you actually made a face tattoo compliment the face not overpower it.

@Luke BioWare Do you have access to the toolset or just the in game CC? That might help people out around here since the advice is very different for each program.

I did a re-work of Riona Cousland my Archer, the biggest thing was a change in her colour pallette and the addition of light freckles under her eyes. I think it makes her a bit more unique and less like Alfstanna, though I'm sure the RBR hair in the same style didn't help that . . .

About Nyra - mmh - I kinda like this *airy* appearance on her and with the Tattoo I think the *wash-out* effect you mentioned I can't see on her - maybe I misinterpret your words - lately I have some problems with english if it comes to technical describes.
Second thought - if you look at my style and how I  work on a design - I tend to use mostly same/similar color's to give the whole design a very harmonic style
But I am curious and will try something out.

BTW - Riona with freckkles !!!!!!!!!!

Ithun, an elder elf whose uthenera (literal meaning: the long sleep,the pratice of the immortal, elder elves of retiring to a chamber that was one part bed and one part tomband entering a long slumber from which they would not wake for centuries, and often never.) got messed up because her resting place was right atop some lyrium veins which protected her body from deterioration. She awoke in present time to see the fate of her whole race completely changed. At first she panicked when she saw that the proud elves had become so scattered and enslaved, but she is a strong woman who didn't lose heart and managed to find the descendants of her family. Even though she used to a somewhat introverted person before, she misses her clan often now.As an elder,she till is respected by the descendants of her clan.



Mar, a poor city elf whose family sold her to prostitution to the nearby nobles like Vaughan when she was very young.  She had been brainwashed since childhood to not see this as a bad thing, and only after she became sixteen her friend Kallian(the warden) found this out and explained to her how she is being used. After Kallian was conscripted by the wardens Mari mysteriously dissappeared as well.

@adneate I only used the CC from the game for this one. I'd like to see how far that will get me, but I won't mind learning some stuff in the toolset. Are there some nice tutorials out there? I can only find somehwat confusing topics with only questions in them.

It can be a bit confusing at first, but after 1-2 attempts it comes very easily.

EDIT: On a completely different note, I'm looking for some inspiration on characters to make. So I'm taking concept suggestions. If anyone wants, give me a few idea - character concepts, race, gender, personality, bits of backstory, etcetera. I'm just interested in trying out something I wouldn't normally make.

As well, I have a few guides on a few tricks of the trade in regards to the CC, toolset, and the various files you use for each.  Hopefully they help.
