You just said it - the PC version gives you access to mods, and much more importantly, the toolset. The sh-- CC doesn't let you touch certain sliders at all, and for the ones you actually can touch, you can only change by 10 points or w/e. The toolset lets you touch every slider, down to a point at a time.
EDIT: Thought you were a console player.

For starters, download the Dragon Age redesign 7.3. Install the Draconies True Textures. Then you could use uh_hed_dracoglossyneutral for one. makes the lips all shiny and and can be used with different lip color. Facial blending helps with the skin. I also have DA set at high res. 1920c1600 or something like that..
Everyone here has their own little tweak they do and or style.
Which reminds me, I need to find one of my first morphs and compair to know.
Hope that helps some.

Guess I should also clarify that statement... "I hates you morpherssssss", yes, that's better. I do make random mods here and there, convenience stuff and interesting things now and then so I do use the toolset and I have attempted to make morphs with the toolset. I'm just completely hopeless compared to the awesomeness contained within this thread.
@Xirbeus: Thanks for the information on the glossy bit, though, going through each individual overlay, I usually end up skipping a couple and missing the one I'm looking for.
Edit: Oh wow, the difference one texture makes, thanks again Xirbeus.

ok.. headdesk.. toolset works, but have lost all of my work, have all of my source files, mrh files, but freakin toolset won't open them... does anyone know why? Searched the toolset forum, couldn't find any topics, was hoping someone here would have some intel. Am going to cry.
I so feel with you dear
So if you have all .mrh maybe its installed now on a different place ? This is the only thing I could think of.
Thansk to all for the compliments on my *Silver Lady-Knight*

Edit: Though I'm not entirely sure why you can't open .mrh files since I was able to open my old .mrh files.

I think there is help file on the wiki on toolset for transfering the database files. Don't think the mrh files would be corrupted. LadyAly had one file corrupt that was causing her issue while back. But it was making character creator crash or the toolset when file was open. It seems your issue is with the toolset connecting to the right database.
So far I haven't had any issue with toolset, knock on wood.

Draconi...

I know how to copy a game... is it possible to rename a game.. and have the new game's name show up on the game menu? I tried renaming the folder in the Dragon Age file but, that doesn't work.. although it does help me determine which game I want. when openig files in the toolset.

Not entirely right. The Patch 1.04 has caused a huge problem - the safe of all my files on a second hard drive was going wrong and so I lost a lot of files after re install DA and Toolset.
I can only give out the advice to install *RECUVA* - I got some files back - this small program is awesome and free ( and for sure to check twice if all is safe what should be
But the corrupted file wont let me open the CC anymore - and you helped me to fix that
Since there all is well and works just fine.

"my precious" XD.But yeah just PC and the toolset, lol I know it kinda sucks, consoles don't share in this. A bit uneven. But at least DA2 will probably be even for both of us. Maybe. Still if you have a PC that can handle DAO on the PC, I highly recommand it. For just 50 bucks, with the content modders make, you probably be playing this for years to come, and is overly worth the value you pay for. Just don't download patch 1.04 lol XD, or becareful before you download a patch, research it on the forums to see if it gives any problems. And thats about it.

On the other hand, I'm really happy with my character now and am happily struggling through the Korcari Wilds using Random Age on Nightmare difficulty and getting my arse whooped twelve ways from the second Tuesday of next week. I'll upload screenshots later, but really want to thank Xirbeus, that little tip about the texture made a world of difference.

if a texture looks good or just meh
- even a high resolution texture will be 'wasted' on low end
game settings while high quality settings will only improve
a the ingame look of of a low res texture a wee tad compared
with low end game settings.
- I recommend to arm yourself with chargenmorphcompiler
(on dragon age nexus) and the hair, eye, eyebrow, skin
(...) and cosmetic mods you like - a toolset creation wich
turned out double-u t f ingame can still be saved in the
prerelease ~ or the ingame character creator.
LadyAly - it looks like the weird writing (click me) in place
of a tattoo pops up after replacing tooset generated tattoos
- maybe a database issue.

Well I found out it appears if you remove the Tattoo. BUT - if you put all sliders underneath to Zero it is away - maybe this helps

Your Dragon Tattoo Dwarf is exquisite!
KwanGong: Another benefit to the PC DA:O is that the Consoles Max Resolution possible is 1920x1080, whereas on my PC, i'm running 1920x1200!
Chairon de Celeste: Elaine is adorable in that Beanie Hat! Cute gals & Beanie Hats are peas in a pod!
Vertrix: That looks like a winning, game ready design!

LadyAly: Thank you for the comments on The Band of Tartis.
Hecate-Anila - I really understand the difficulties for morphing. Although there are quite a lot of mods released, the features provided are still very limited.
Ravaelo is handsome! Though I have to agree that hairstyle is a mess.
Thank you LadyAly, I'm getting much better now.
Reisha...sorry I don't like that hairstyle so I don't have comment at all.
AvatarHunter: Jeneva, Tenzin are interesting concept. However, their grim expression makes them looks like as if they have already been quicken. In my mind, I think pre-enslaved elf are fair and they don't have any sadness.
Thank you for your appreciation about The Band of Tartis.
Nimue, Shiki and Lamia are an interesting trio. Among them I like Lamia more as I'm more appreicate tough and determined female.
Zeleen: The concept behind guardian of stones is really interesting! Between Lylahk and Ferrum I like the former more as I think Lylahk fulfills your description more. For Ferrum, if you could tweak him a bit rougher, it may be better.
Thank you for the comments of the Band of Tartis!
Summer...actually, I prefer bright blonde or orange in order to depict the bright sunlight.
Among Argen and Boolyen, I like Boolyen more as he looks happy and kind. Argen...I'm not sure...it seems like there is some steel within her which makes her looks less than kind that she appears.
badboy64: Your mage is beautiful.
CdC: I'm not sure about the visual effect, it makes the face of Bastet looks too small compare with the neck.
Nowshin: Thank you for your appreciation of Harwind, Rulf and Band of Tartis!
Hally Brosca is really cute!
The Lady Hawke is amazing! I just can't believe that a character and scenes can be made as smooth and pretty.
Reina is pretty!
Tyrax: Thank you.
Well, Loghian and Howe drops into a black hole called ignorance.
Saerwen: The scar and tattoo on Aranel is really impressive. She looks unusual and tough. I like her.
I like second version of Alistair better as his feature is rougher than the first one. Which looks more like a warrior.
Neveri: Thank you for your appreciation of my work.
I like Silviana more as the tattoo, her expression gives me an impression that she is wild and dangerous.
I think the fierce eyes of Miana isn't prominite enough. I think increasing the squint of her eyes maybe better.
Sir Bobbin: She just looks as you descript, wild and somewhat fierce without her eyes. I like her!
Xirbeus: I haven't played any in FF series before but I can say Aqua is really pretty! And hi to Emi as well.
Schratty: The revised version of Megara is much better!
Bloodheimer: Selena looks unique and interesting.
NoAngel89: The Dalish is impressive! Wonderful!
