That's one of the better elves I've seen in a while.

Loghain
Awesome! That is one of the best Logains I've seen! My only complaint would be that he looks a bit young, but that really just a texture issue.. the facial anatomy, shape, and characteristics are amazing. Is the logain in the 6.9 version of DA-redesigned? Haven't seen logain with it installed yet...
@everyone who commented on my screens
thank you for you suggestions and compliments. Will definitely start creating more back-ups of my faces.

That Loghain will be in 7.0. I'm still not exactly sure whether to put him in Lore or Aesthetics. But he'll be in there somewhere.
Ok...I need to go to sleep. I feel like I've just wasted a lot of time.
Gosh, it's such an odd hobby. But I enjoy this more than playing the videogame itself.

I think redesigning NPC's reveals more about us and our techniques than making normal characters. There's always a common starting point and you can see how each of us has added to it in our own way.

If he looks as young as he does from that shot, then probably in Aesthetics.
Like in JRPGs where everybody is beautiful, especially the villain.

I
@Frenzied Muffin Ash really looks good in the game
@Petehog Handsome guy you created there - This Armor - what a mod you have used for him ?
As for Loghain - I would put him into Aesthetics - I agree in this case with the others.
@Saerwen She is looking Badass ! *thumps up*

@yamainu1984 She looks interesting - especially how you combined the tattoos. A bit very dark for my taste, though. But it fits into her hair and dark eye make up.
*sighzels* Okay - Tunja has passed out. All tries to make her better failed.
I made a new one*Lady Sonya Aeducan*
My intention is to give her this noble appearance, attractive, but still dwarfish. Opinions ?

@Tirigon Hard to say a lot - can we have a clearer and better shot form her face ?
We´ll see if I get a good view. The light in the tower is a bit crappy, unfortunately.
Edit: Here we go.

With the humans, I felt bioware generally made all presets (and even NPCs) have western-european features (and just changed the skin tones instead of facial structures too). I wanted to get some faces with different ethnic facial structures for more variety, so as I tried to create wester/easern european, Nordic/Germanic, African, and middle-eastern faces the best I could. (I tried to create west and east asian faces but I just couldn't do it without it looking weird or comical).

With the Elves, I tried to make them more dignified and attractive, as in the lore and game it's mentioned a few times that Humans generally find elves attractive. Doesn't mean I couldn't try to make some look mean or rugged though. I wanted my elves to look more homogeneous as I don't consider DA elves as being AS ethnically varried as humans (with the exception of skin pigmentation, since Bioware seems to have given the DA elves different skin tones without reverting to calling them different "races" like "Drow, Moon, Wild, Sun, etc". I see DA elves as just being different ethnically instead of different "races" like other fantasy.. a positive thing in my opinion)

There wasn't much I wanted to try and change about the dwarves. I don't think I'll ever be able to get the small, stout, bearded image of dwarf out of my head because it's basically that way in all mideval based fantasy. What I did change though was their eyes, generally making them and the iris bigger (i dont really know why.. I think big-eyed dwarves just seem more aesthetically pleasing to me). Also, I really disliked the beardless dwarves all having odd pudgy faces, so I tighted and broadened the jaw on my beardless ones. In my opinion, it suites them much better.

The mod and mrh files are in my sig, if you like it.

I think the face looks appropriately dwarvish, but not the hair. Personally I think free-flowing long flat hair is more of an elvish thing. IMO dwarves are more interested in having body for their hair, and they regard long flat hair as limpid-looking, like hair on a corpse. Also long hair doesn't look good on short people. That's how I imagine dwarven ladies' standards...
@ Tirigon:
That elven girl reminds me of the chara in the painting The Scream...
...that's disturbing, LOL. I don't know how you can play with her and not have nightmares. ^^;

@LadyAly The bridge of Lady Sonya's nose looks a bit thin to me (especially in the shot in the upper-left corner) but overall, I like her look for a refined noble woman.
@Tirigon The features of her face lean towards highly-stylized rather than realistic proportions but that may be what you're aiming for. I'd be tempted to suggest a bit more colour (perhaps a light hair colour that would still provide a little contrast) but it's hard to tell due to the lighting from your two screenshots (the tower and the Fade).
@AtomRobot87 Placed next to one another like that, it becomes pretty easy to recognize your style. For me, it's mainly in the eyes for your humans and partly in the jaw that a few of them share. For your elves, I normally try to shy away from the cornrows look but you managed to get it to work for yours so good job. The elf in the bottom-left corner strongly resembles Zathrian (unique slider setting for him set to max?) and where I might normally suggest throwing in a few more distinctive features, it's a good base as a preset for people to work with (as something they would normally not have available to them). Facial proportions for dwarves will always throw me off but considering their wider faces, large eyes can work quite well for them. I have to say that your dwarven Alistair-lookalike gave me a good chuckle but I like most of the dwarven head morphs (the one that sticks out to me is the guy with the narrow jaw; it just seems a bit too narrow for a dwarf to me).

@Tattercloak - thankies to you as well. Will see if I can fix that with the CC - and how it looks like.
@Trigon She is pretty pale - maybe she is more an *airy* warrior
@AtomRobot87 A pretty collection of Man you have there - My favourites are the dwarfs - well made
