It's been awhile since I've cranked out a morph...
Scáthach - The blind prophetess/apostate.
An enigmatic beauty, Scáthach was blessed and cursed with the gift of prophecy. Symptoms of her pseudo-omniscience include boredom, sarcasm, apathy, and general "meh"-dom. To entertain herself, Scáthach often results to creating chaos in an attempt to disrupt balance and cause unexpected outcomes.

(Right Click to view image), to see it bigger

In this design (I guess this should belong in a tough character forum), I wanted make her look roguish and make her look unnatural or off. As if she's a regular assassin. I didn't put eye brows, thought they weren't really needed and I think it makes her look more unique. This is a mop file version of the original mor/mrh file. as usually the mop file screws up the structure, so I had to change a few things because of it. But I think I got it looking the way I liked.
The tattoo I haven't released it, mainly because the tattoo doesn't work very well on all races, looks amazing on male and female elves, and especially male humans, but for some odd reason looks terrible on human females. Still trying to work out the kinks, I guess you gotta be becarful when making tats around the eyes. They can be the most distorted. But yeah.

wow this looks amazing, increible use of the tattoo, very well design. Shes really beautiful. A great case in how tattoos and well design face can amplify each other.

*headdesk*Why does LadyAly's characters look fine but mochen's characters have a small vertical line between the boobs? :?My dress=FAIL.
I guess not dear - All I tested and failed was the dwarf - but that you have told me anyway.
@Saerwen Thanks and yes, the boobs a problem - I hate it - but I wanted to let look her like a real barbarian / sword Queen - anyway - couldn't find a better one <_< and in Dark Age II she was wearing a similar outfit made out of furs
Lisa is just awesome stuff
@badboy64 - thank you very much
Christine is very cute and pretty - but her head looks very big in comparison to the body ? Or is it the screenshot which is fooling me ?
@Zeleen I don't like the hairstyle and the white hair on a elf - but otherwise good job
@Schratty Now this is a design who let me back speechless ... she is terrific <3
@NoAngel89 welcome back  Your Tattoo and Elf looks pretty nice, I like her small and delicate features and the tattoo is blending in very well.

Zeleen: I like your new dalish. You made good use of that hair, it gives her a roguish look.
Saerwen: Brandon looks really good. Liza is awesome, she is very elegant and beautiful but without looking like a softie.
I think you are right, her eyes seem to be a little to high. I didn't change the height (toolset default setting) which in combination with the hairstyle looks odd. I'm going to lower her eyes a bit and try lifting the ears as you suggested. Thank you for the advice.
Schratty: Scáthach is fascinating, somehow mysterious. The tattoos fit her very well. Simply amazing. And her story is very ineresting. A blind prophet, like Teiresias. Cool idea.
NoAngle89: Abaleen is lovely and the tattoo is really cool.
I tried a human male, mainly because ever since I saw Quinton (he is great) I wanted to try this hairstyle.
So Kyan came to be. I'm not sure I like him, something is odd, but I can't put my finger on what it is that's bothering me.

@Wyldsong: Excellent screenies<3especially the 2nd to last <3
@Schratty: I've also wrstled with a blind prophetess idea a couple of times but always ended up with a freaky eyed creepy chick. But your Scáthach is such a gorgeous rendition I'm in love<3

First, thanks to all the positive feedback on my latest design. I was equal parts inspired by Fable's Seeress and Eleni Zenovia (I absolutely adore her beautiful voice!)
Comments:
I only went a few pages back (forgive my laziness), but here are a few that really caught my attention:
@ Meepichi: I think you were spot on with Navi. She is both cute and tough-looking. I think the tattoo was well chosen, as was the armor (both really compliment her overall design).
@ mulch00: I love your style. Designs like Adriana and Raissa are absolutely inspiring!
@ Petehog: Your black-haired beauty looks so realistic! You are disgustingly talented, my friend
@ LadyAly: Min Khetum is very well done. You always manage to draw just enough elements from your inspiration picture to create a resemblance in your design, but still keep things fresh and original.
@ Zeleen: I ♥ Tempest. The colors from Nowshin's beautiful made dress really compliment her design.
@ Saerwen: Brandon Cousland is very handsome! I don't think he needs to be redone at all!
@ NoAngel: Abaleen's tattoos almost look like scars (which is very clever!). I love the fact that her rounded face gives her a somewhat cute appearance, but she still possesses a certain toughness to her. Very well done!

Thread Question: Caladhiel's wonderful screen shots inspired the following question: What location in DA:O (including all the expansions) and/or DA:A do you think is the most breath-taking (in terms of general aesthetics, ambiance, etc..)? If I had to pick a favorite, I would say the Brecilian Forest Ruins. They remind me a great deal of the Forest Temple in Ocarina of Time (my absolute favorite level in that game). Moreover, I just really dig the look of stone covered in branching vines, and the sunlight trickling in from holes in the ceiling is absolutely stunning!
First of all thanks for the inspiration part, I'm glad you like my screenshots!
And second, I'd have to agree with you on the location. The Brecilian Forest Ruins are definitely the most beautiful setting, and the setting where one can definitely make the most beautiful screenshots. For me they would be closely followed by the different places of the Deep Roads, especially the Anvil of the Void with the intertwining lyrium veins... Not necessarily a characteristically beautiful place, but definitely breath-taking and magnificent.

Ok well I'm having a bit of a confidence crisis with my designs lately, plus I'm in a bit of a bad mood right now, so I will postpone my commenting for now.
But I attempted to re-do Anna because basically she was a bit rubbish before. So here is the result...

I would personally say the Ruined Temple of Haven, and to an extent, Soldier's Peak. I was born in winter, and I always love snowy wastelands when they're in games. Snow is beauty and serenity to me.

@Mulch00 You know for someone who normally didn't work with human character designs much you surely made up for lost time over your latest designs posted. The elf to human transition looks like it went over quite smoothly and you seem to have your own particular way of approaching face shapes and features which stands out to me.
@LadyAly First thing that I noticed about Min is her strong presentation. She is very much a representative of natural and wilderness bound people and the robe adds to the tribal feel well.
@Zeleen That is quite a different take on a Dalish design I'd say, the white hair color coupled with that hairstyle presents much of a fantasy oriented look and I don't think I have seen too many fantasy based appearances for Dalish so that is cool.
@Saerwen Nice trio of characters from your archives there, my eyes are glued to Liza out of the three since she is the one I am more familiar with and in general I just find her to be well crafted.
@Schratty Considering I have not been around as much as I used to I have come to find that designs come out a lot more fresh and original when they are not mass produced or rather have lapses inbetween your oldest and newest characters. Scathach pretty much supports my claim considering the amount of time it has been since you posted a new character and the level of quality that she was conceived with. Her lips are lovely and the choice of tattoo added a good deal to her overall appearance without being too overpowering.
@NoAngel89 Looks like you accomplished the appearance that you were aiming for she has a unique look indeed from the way you created her. No eyebrows did a lot for the overall look, it gives her a very particular and recognizable style.
@Mochen All groundless compliments aside I honestly do not understand where your confidence issues are coming from with regards to your designs. Just from the results that you present it may be safe to say that you are just too hard on yourself but then I am more than positive that there is more to it than that if you feel that way. In any case though the original and remade Anna both turned out well so try to climb your way out of that bad mood rutt if you can because the frowning wrinkled brow look doesn't suit you I think.
@Neveri Cheers to you and your new monitor, I bought a new one a few days ago myself. Interesting approach for Amber there, I think from the way that you shaped her features and the hairstyle that you chose she has something of a vietnamese look.
@Nowshin Once again excellent work on getting your mod finished and out to the public. The amount of time and work you put into it is very visible so I applaud you for that.

@AvatarHunter, your default look for Sereda Aeducan is in my opinion spot on for a dwarven noble lady, absolutely love her. Nice touchups on Hilda and Sahara as well, I adore the colouring on Hilda, she looks sort of fragile. Sahara looks, well, hot.
I think you've captured a Dalish elf quite well with Lyna, I also really like the hair and eye colour on her.
@Meepichi, Navi is quite cute, I like the combination of the hair and the somewhat more tough looking tattoo. Selena looks like she could be NaChaya's sister, and she does kind of look like 13 from House, but more pretty and less starved.
@mulch00, I really like the ladies you've made lately. You have such an elegant and simplistic style, I quite like it.
-Azra is cute, and she pulls of that hairstyle well, it doesn't make her seem like the palace bimbo. The tattoo is a nice touch as well.
-Raissa and Yve, lovely ladies. Love the freckles on Raissa, and that hair. Yve might not be a conventional beauty, but I think she's pretty still, in a different sort of way.
-Lenya, a very natural looking lady, sort of a girl-next-door pretty. I like her.
-Ronja, I think she's my favourite from you so far. I love the colours you've used, and her eyes. She reminds me of a grown up versjon of ''Ronja Rövardotter'', or.. Ronia the Robber's Daughter as it's apparantly called in english.
-Kyan, I think he is quite good looking, actually, but I agree that there is something.. odd about him, but I can't seem to put my finger on it either.
@LadyAly, Min Khetum is quite the beauty, lovely use of colours on her, she looks quite amazing.
@Zeleen, as much as I hate that hairtyle, I have to admit it does suit your Dalish elf. She's quite nice.
@Saerwen, hah, Jack does look sad, it's like he's trying to put on his best puppy-eyes look to get something, he's cute. Liza is still very pretty. Nice shot of Brandon, that location is excellent for posing shots.
@Schratty, Scáthach is absolutely amazing. Everything from the location, outfit, colours and name is perfect.
- As to your question about favourite location, I'm stuck between the Brecilian Forest ruins, it reminds me as well of the Forest Temple in Ocarina of Time, and the Ruined Temple in Haven, mainly because it has snow and I love snow. And ruined temples.
@NoAngel89, Abaleen is quite the pretty elf, I'd love to see some of Aions tattoo's in Dragon Age.
@mochen, Anna is absolutely fantastic, the colours you've chosen combined with the robe and the simple hairstyle works wonderfully togheter. I hope you feel better soon, your designs have been an inspiration ever since I first started to lurk about on this forum.
