Thanks everyone for all the nice comments.

@mulch00: Thanks for the idea, it's really an excellent one and inspired my muse. I know exactly how he's going to get tainted.

Amazing how many great characters there are. I'm impressed with them all. Especially the elves. I just can't make a good elf that fits into the personality and background I give them. I've been on the look out for a good preset.

Mochen: Thank you.

badboy64: Tabitha looks good. She's an exotic beauty with her dark hair and skin and those stunning golden eyes. I like her.

omgduckies: Welcome. Yor character look good. I really like Brynja she is beautiful, tough and noble. Very good design.

Lynn01: Thank you.

Shanara Windwalker: Will you publish you story or if you already have post a link? I'd really like to read it.

mulch00: I really write for my own pleasure though my daughter is trying to convince me to post my stories. This one has been a real challenge getting it to fit with two wardens. If I do post it I'll let you know.

One of the greatest advantages of having the PC version of Dragon Age as opposed to the PS3 or XBox version is the versatility of mods. Since you are relatively new, I would recommend the following mods to help with your character design.

Here are the mods I would recommend:

1. Bidelle's Cosmetics
http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=473

2. More Hairstyles
http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=392

3. Beautiful People Hair Ren
http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=750

4. LOTC Default Eye Texture
http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1367

5. LOTCs Female Eyelashes
http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1435

6. Wyld Tats
http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1732

7. Pineappletree's Vibrant Colors
http://www.dragonage...file.php?id=153

8. Eyebrow Presets
http://www.dragonage...ile.php?id=1321

9. CC Extra Tints and Tones
http://www.dragonage.../file.php?id=69

10. Human Female Proportions fix
http://social.biowar...m/project/2660/

11. Tucked hair
http://social.biowar...m/project/2595/

12. Dr. DJ's Bandit Emporium

Also, about taking screenshots.. quite a few people take screenshots in cutscenes as they usually provide good close-ups of characters faces with a nice out-of-focus background.

I actually do it another way, I select a location in the game where I think the character fits in nicely (make sure it has good lighting) and then in order to get the camera to zoom close to the character you need to walk up to a wall, and pan around.
Then it's all about making the character look around and being quick on the screenshot key to capture a certain look.

I then crop the screenshot in paint to a suitable size to post on this forum.

I almost never do any editing or enhancement to my shots, and when i do it's really obvious.

Hope that helps

mulch00: Hot Witch! ;) (She looks yummy! :P)

badboy64: Tabitha's bound to be the strong one in the family! I wish her luck in nabbing Al! :P

omgduckies: Brynja's lookin good, but 2 suggestions: 1: Give her a bit more Nose Tip, it looks too flat to look right, & 2: raise the Nose Height a bit, it's too close to the Mouth to look right, yet the Mouth seems just right compared to the Chin, so I think it's the Nose that needs to move. :)

Gretchen's interesting! I think her Nose Height should come up a bit, & that's it. She looks heavily pessimistic & timid, yet her Eyes shine with intelligence, good sense, & potential for great judgment ability! :D

Corym's got potential! He needs more Nose Tip, Elves aren't built for flat-tipped Noses, his Mouth should come down a bit to better center it between the bottom of the Nose & the end of the Chin, & lastly, if this is a Toolset Morph instead of a CC Character, I think he might do better with his Mouth Corners a bit more up-turned, then his Face can be a bit more charismatic! :) He has potential to be a likable guy! ^_^

Kat9053: In addition to Petehog's suggestions, also consider trying out the Mod, 'Don't worry Be hairy' when ya get some exp under your belt! It's a pain in the bum to install, but the 3 hairstyles that come with it are cool! (Look back earlier in this Thread & find 'Amelie', she's using this Mod's 3rd Hairstyle!)

I got a question:
When I export the witches face as a preset and use it to create a character I get under certain lighting conditions weird shadows like the light sources are all screwy (well I get those shadows with other presets as well).
The mor file works fine...ok I think there are less weird shadows but that could be my imagination.
I tried using different textures (bioware fama texture) but it is the same as with dracomies m3 texture.
What is the problem? Or is it just the lighting? Is something on the preset distorted and causes the effect?

I hate presets, something is always not working right, at least for me.

You guys are much more expirienced maybe you could help.

Thiangha Cousland- head of the 'Little Feet Underground Road'
Said organization frees orphanes and abducted children from the grasp of slavers, warlords,
assassin guilds and other bottom of the barrel scum - no matter the race or heritage of the kids.
Additionally the members offer their charges a roof over the head, safety and a proper education.
When she last checked, the added sum of the bounties on her head was twice as high as the
orlisian empire's annual budget.

Can you post a picture of the anomaly?  It might be a lighting issue. Some locations are optimal for lighting and others..not so much.

Good locations for snapshots:
=============================

Orzammar (everywhere) , Mage's Tower, Caverns, Elven Cave...any cave for that matter, The Dragon Grave (only in Dragon Age Awakening), The intro (Dragon Age Awakening), The Black Marsh (Dragon Age Awakening)

Bad locations for snapshots:
==============================

Bright section of Denerim, Kokari Wilds (yellow lighting), any place with yellow lighting, Brecilian Forest (yeah the location is cool but it's terrible for screenshots), outside shiny area the castle of Noble Human Origin...

FYI - A ton of good work here. I wish I had time to comment on it all, but I am neck deep in other projects. I just really wanted to check in and say hi.

@Pete - Wow, I am honored you would mention Wyld Tats=)

Like mulch00 said, your work should definitely be on that list, it's on my list of must haves.

@mulch00 - I'm not certain what is causing the distortion, but usually there is a bit of distortion from the toolset to the CC to the game. Which is why you don't notice it a lot using mor files and going directly to the game. I am sure someone who is more knowledgeable in this arena can give you some better insight.

Wow those Witcher morphs are amazing!

The new hair project is going slowly, but I will be offering it here on the BSN. I found some fantastic male hair meshes, so I hope I can get them to work. Here's a new one I finished, though I will be making a new texture. I wasn't happy with this one.

Can you make some cool hairstyles for the men too?:wizard: Boy, would it be cool to add some for them. There are a lot of hairstyles for the ladies but not so much for the fellers.

I second Pete. Men do need fashion and style as well.

I wish there will have much more nice short hairstyles for men...

Maybe that's why I haven't made many male characters, there's like one hairstyle that I actually like.

Same here. It's just the Warden haircut for me. And depending on the face..the Nero hair.

But we need some more, man.

For me, it's Zevran's hair. Go figure that while I hate the rest, my real life hair "style" is pretty similar to the rest. <_<

For me, the male chars I have created are mostly Shepherd's hair, Aliaster's hair, Oghren's one (for dwarves) or occasionally, the Nero's hair. Or even sometimes I make them bald.

Although there have been "More hairstyle" mod, the only one I have used is either the Warden's hair or the one used on my elven mage, Merhet.
