@Everyone w/the kind words for my Amage - Thankee. Now, since I think I have learned all I can through the CC, my toons will probably see at least one final revision as I move to trying my hand with the toolset. I know how to work it, I just haven't done so. Since my little write up on the CC tricks seems fairly well downloaded on the nexus, after I have made a few toons and have the hang of it, I'll probably do another write up on the toolset and head morphs. As for her endowments...well...still trying to find armor in that Conan/Xena style...so it may stick for awhile=P

@Pete - I really dig that elf design.

@Elys - A very natural look there with your mage. I like it.

@Virus and Cala - Regardless of how those dwarves turn out, I will give both of you props for even attempting them. I don't think I'll ever give that race a go. I just can't seem to make them look right.

Pretty dwarves, nice work Cala & VC.

My search for a character to finish both Origins and Awakening continues.... Kind of pirate-theme, still (tattoo and scar).

First drafts, no name for her yet.

woah! I'm totally in love with your way of making chars, Presence. They all turn out so unique and cool O:
For names, look for famous pirate names from history? :D That always work ;D

My presetwork is going forward. Took a break after the 7th DF and just can't figure out how to make the 8th. The original is soooo boring. What would you non-toolset-users want as the 8th option?

I know, they look alot like the originals, but I can't make them all Nanica. I mainly changed their noses (which doesn't look as much alike each other in the CC), their jaws and blended them all a bit.

Edit: Added the originals for comparision, and don't forget to right click -> Show pic so that you actually see the changes.

No worries, the other presets will have a bigger difference. It's jsut that the dwarves are generally pretty good already ^_^

Edit 2: Just realized that this angle doesn't show much of the differences :( Will make new pics for the downloadable version.

@Presence

I love that character. Great proportions. Beautiful face. Delicate features. Well done. Perfect anatomy.

I watch one day of hockey and I miss about two pages of designs.  Figures :)

Lots of interesting designs so I'll try to quickly go through a few of them.

@Wyldsong I like the use of that scar design around her left eye and that's a good, subtle use of freckles.  I have to admit that after examining her youthful facial design (large and emotive eyes, upturned nose and a small, somewhat pouty mouth), it was hard not to notice that your character had been...blessed by the Maker.

@Petehog I definitely like your latest version of Alistair the most.  It retains a lot of features from the original but as you've said before, the original is a pretty good design.  I definitely prefer the narrower nose tip in your design but that's a personal preference of mine.  The replacement eye texture you've chosen is a good fit as well (as much as I like the original for him).  Very nice design for "random NPC 45" as well.  I've tried using the Jaheira hair for a few character designs before but I was never satisfied with the way it looked on most of my characters.

@ellyssa The bald look isn't bad for your mage at all.  At rest, she has a very passive, almost serene expression (her slightly angular features probably play into it as well).  I have to say that that particular design would look pretty good for a Tranquil mage as well.

@VirusCat Blend is one of my favourite features in the toolset as well.  I can spend hours just tweaking the sliders and base and blend skin options there to try to find a combination that I like.  For presets, it's not a bad thing at all to have more options available to users for them to play around with.

@Caladhiel Narrowing the gap between her eyes a little is a good choice (in my opinion).  I'm inclined to say that setting the nose width (bridge and tip) sliders to some point between your previous design and your current one might look a bit better (slightly too narrow originally and maybe a bit too wide now).  The softer tattoo looks pretty good (more of a faded-over-time look to it).

@Presence I've been playing around with some pirate-themed designs in the toolset as well lately (tweaking Casavir and Isabella) so I love that scar and tattoo ;)  I generally prefer smaller and thinner noses but the nose you've chosen looks pretty good with a rounded face.

Nice work with Sonya, LadyAly. Regarding, Petehog's comparative toolset screenshots, I find that the way the character is rendered in-game (with in-game lighting) always throws me off a bit. Alistair's eyes may not look quite so green in-game as they do under toolset lighting.

I´d like something special. Your presets look all really good (for dwarfes at least:P) but they seem rather "usual". I´d like if you would add a totally over-the-top version - maybe with tattoos, corpsepaint, an eyepatch or something like that. you know, for those of us who prefer extreme looks over realismB)

Pff, I will make ALL my presets very neutral. That over-the-top-stuff is for YOU to add. I will not use any modded content in my presets at all. The ones that use it can add that in their CCs :) That way everyone wins.

My 8th preset became a non-modded-CC-version of my own lady Skadi. I'm happy with them all now. I might actually release them this evening.

Staying with the piratey theme that Presence brought up, here's what I came up with after playing around with the faces of Isabela and Casavir.

@VC
Thanks! :lol:
I decided to call her Carla... She's a pirate from Escape from Monkey Island. A great game that I never finished for some reason... I definately need to find it and play it through sometime.
I look forward to seeing the other preset sets from you! ;)

@Pete
Thanks.
Your new Alistair looks very good, though I hope you'll include a version with the original eye color, or with one of your own that's closer to the original.

@Tatter
Pirates! Aye! The pirate theme fits my plan to play my next (and probably last) playthrough as a less honest character with personality loosely based on Jack Sparrow and the like... I've always played the relatively nice guy before. Playing a less scrupulous character is kind of hard for a good-natured guy like me. :P
Casavir is looking great, by the way.

@LadyAly
Thanks! ^_^
Sonya is a great character, the "really pissed" pic is just awesome.

A little off-topic but from what I remember, Carla was also the legendary Sword Master from the original Secret of Monkey Island. I love that game. Keeping with the theme of scarred characters and Monkey Island:

"I got this scar on my face during a mighty struggle!"
"I hope now you've learned to stop picking your nose."

And Presence, I agree that it's fun to play a less-than-nice character sometimes.  My arcane warrior has been fun to play precisely because he is a self-serving mercenary sort who's always asking what's in it for him.

Just look at recent uploads, or search for VirusCat if you want to find it ^^
Only DF so far, but I'll be adding DM and maybe EF tomorrow :3

Edit: Played around a little with the presets myself. The 7th one is my fav and just changing her hair, skincolor and giving her some makeup made her into this little lady:

Uh... then I guess it's not from More Hairstyles, meaning it must be from Beautiful People Hair REN.

I love how only changing minor things, and not even heir facial structure in any way, could make her soooo pretty :D I think I consider this preset-thing a success!

I'm done for the day :3 Should have gone to bed hours ago, but I'm having a hard time leaving since I need to know if something I wrote is going to be published today or tomorrow...

Ohwell \\o/

That hairstyle can be worn on humans/elves too, but the fringe doesn't look good on anyone but dwarves :3

This is my first post in this thread. I made this entirely in biowares character creator since I can't get toolset to work. It's my best work so far, my sword and board Kate Cousland :wub:
