Mariya was trapped in the Circle Tower ever since her youth. Once she was able to leave for the Grey
Wardens, she set forth on her journey to rebuild the Grey Wardens and save Ferelden from the blight, but to become the most powerful of mages, never to be commanded by anyone ever again. As she delves deeper into the dark arts, her appearance mirrors her transformation...

1. Innocence – Trapped, bitter,lonely... A sad girl in a cruel stone prison.
2. Freedom – Free of the control of the Circle and Chantry, she can indulge in the forbidden magics...
3. Defiance – Deals with demons light the fires of hatred – victory by any means necessary.
4. Corruption – My vengeance is justice, and justice shall be done!
5. Fallen – The world shall fear me, and even the darkspawn will tremble before my might!
6. Redemption – Set aside the worksof darkness, and put on the armor of light. The salvation of this
world lies not in blood and destruction... Not chaos, but kindness...
There is hope yet...

After her experience on the mountain, fighting the High Dragon, passing the
tests of the Gauntlet, and touching Andraste's ashes, she witnesses the truth of the Maker and the error of her ways. She gives up her blood magic and now will train in the way of the Arcane Warrior – saving the land, so that she may save herself...(In the last image, she wears a tattoo under her eye, to always remember her two darkest mistakes. Her hair is also darker and her eyes are a deeper blue than they originally were before – to represent her becoming deeper and her remaining darkness.)

@Mochen: I can't remember what Nanette looked like before you tweaked her, but she does look great, as do the other old and now tweakes designs.
The new ones look very good, I like especially Orina.

@AvatarHunter: Lucy looks so very cute, with her you made a great anime looking character. Amazing work.
Tormi, looks very tomboyish and cunning, but she is also cute.
Troya is the very image of a hard and experienced duster.
Both dwarfs are outstanding.

@Zeleen: Burce is impressive, he looks very realistic and reminds me of someone.

@Petehog: Wow those drafs are great. The poor battered duster girl and the proud and strong noblewoman.

@Pode8: Luna is very cute. She has a nice, innocent girl next door look and the freckles underline that very good.

@Zerotoxin: Your girls look good. On the first one the chin seems a bit long.

@mochen She is based on Nikita. I used the CC to edit her face, then used the toolset to manually do the edits for the transitions. I actually figured out how to add a tattoo to the .mor manually myself...

Also, great job with Kari! She has such a pretty tranquil moonlit vampire look to her...

Everyone has such lovely designs. I finally got enough courage to share one of my favorite characters, Nyxian. She uses a custom made hair color, as well as eyes. She was my test dummy in learning how to make new content using the toolset. I'd also appreciate any suggestions on her anatomy.

@LadyAly Nice to see some dwarf designs emerging I have been playing around with some concepts for them myself a lot as of late. With that being said Bronja is a very welcomed design, I really dig how you've put her together.  Your choices for her hair and textures are great and that tattoo you went with really adds a unique and individual flare, very nice touch. Oh and that last pic of her is brilliant by the way.

@Mochen Looks like you are doing quite a bit of touch up work while revisiting some of your earlier characters, I think it is nice to go back and polish up older designs and see how much you have progressed since that design was created. At any rate the mixture of old and new in your latest posts look well done and the amount of time and creativity you put in them is visible.

@Neveri In most cases when I look at soemone's designs my main focus is the presentation of the character but every so often I will run across one that makes notice the entire shot itself, this being one of them. Great location for the pic in correlation to Mariana's look and color scheme. A smoky brunette accompanied by  a foggy gold and sunset trimmed background just seems to mesh well and works much in your favor.

@Mulch00 I may have said it before but I'm glad you are trying out some ideas for dwarfs. I really love dwarfs myself so it is always nice to see someone contribute more of them to the thread. I like Magda's eyes, the slanted/upturned shape looks rather unique to me on a dwarf.

@Petehog Good grief man exemplary job with the textures I think that is a much needed texture for male elves. I have found it a bit challenging to find just the right blend of textures for them and it looks like you've come up with a solid texture to fit the bill.

@skuid: wow! The hair on Etain just absolutely fits her and the tweaks – you’ve made a great character even better-- NICE!
Haven’t read the comics and couldn’t find Gleam on google – I like this design – especially the slant of the eye.. and her coloring with the white hair.

@Saerwen: yep! I know the frustration of having typed everything out and then *poof* it’s gone – that’s why I now minimize the screens and make my comments on word. (it also helps to catch the typos) – thank you for the kind words.
