Geez it feels like forever since I last posted here, from the looks of it everyone is occupying themselves with DA2. I had been getting the urge to start up a new playthrough of DA:O as of late and decided to roll a new Dalish elf. I figured I may as well post a pic of her just because.

So... I'll begin this post by saying that I lack half of the skills that you guys possess when the subject is "Character Creation". However, I know how to work a bit with the Toolset and I even made several packs of eye textures and tattoos.

I didn't create a character for a long time; I can say that I love creating them, though.

Anyway, I'll post some pictures of my last Warden, Gwyneth, and of my Morrigan morph.

This is how Gwyneth started. I really like this hair, but it doesn't fit the type of personality that she has...

And now, Morrigan. I love Morrigan's concept art, I really, really do. I dislike to see mods that completely change her appearance by adding long hair or whatever.
I took the lore morph and tweaked it a bit, at my liking. The result:

Just right click and view image and it should show a 2048 x 1152 screen shot.  Unless you wanted an even more closer shot and different lighting scenarios.

Keeblet, maybe like a headshot? To better judge the proportions. She looks very unique and pretty, but it is hard to see her features. ^_^

*I used a lot of eye shadow (black usually) because it tends to cover up the flaws on the naked eye edges/line and eye liner.  I understand lighting makes a huge impact to how 3d models render and unfortunately, the lighting choices given in the toolset are not very helpful for determining the lighting conditions that render in game at least to my experience.  It kind of bothered me that there was no eye liner in this game to begin with; I appreciate Bidelle for creating such beautiful eye textures with eye liner in some of her works/eye package but they do not go without their flaws.

If you haven't checked out the video, I believe it gives a decent representation to how the model actually looks in the game (tried to color correct it as best as I could).  While I normally hadn't used 'Frame Buffer Effects', it has given luminance to some of my characters.  I've been fascinated using my head morphs in npcs as the npcs speak and it's nice to have your character talk for once (slowly looking into modding cutscenes and own voice anims).

Keeblet, I did check out the video, I agree that it is nice to have your characters talk. I had someone do that with one of my morphs over on the nexus, was pretty cool. Now this is just my POV on your morph. I would squint her eyes some, maybe make them a bit smaller too. Also move them up a bit, as her forehead is a tad on the high side. I also move ears up, as I like them to be somewhat in line with the eyes. I like her unique features, and I agree on the eyeliner comment. Maybe tweak her eyebrows a bit too, just to give them more arch.
It is too bad this thread is so quiet, there used to be a lot of helpful feedback here.

Yeah I always figured I should implement the eye squint feature as it makes the eyes appear a bit more natural. I actually don't how how to move the ears up anymore as it is already maxed out (This bothered me too).

I've done some of the things you suggested so far but I want to finish up the ears, even though I don't know how to make them raised more. With hair, it is hard to tell some of the changes made in game; even somethings like the eye squint. Thanks for the feedback though. I think this thread became quiet because I believe people are beginning to mod DAII more now, no? I don't actually know if that TS was released for DAII and if I can recall correctly, DAII had a lot of recycled textures and looked a lot worse than DA:O :[

I am glad that I didn't offend.

No toolset for DA2. Which is unfortunate as the game does recycle areas(one house, one cave etc etc) and w/out toolset there won't be community bug fixes, additional campaigns etc. The majority of the mods for DA2 are retexts, and some morphs. Some modders are actually putting some of the armor models from DA2 into Orgins(warden armor is nice).

I've decided to come back to this thread :) I couldn't resist seeing all the wonderful creations by others. And with some nice new appearence mods coming out since DA2 it's too tempting. And it looks like you've all been quite busy!

Time to comment (god it's been ages since I did this!) I'll do this last page for now.

@ AvatarHunter - I'm always so impressed with the amount of personality you work into your characters. Mikala looks great. I really like how you incorporated the hairstyle. I think that's a tricky style to make work, but she wears it flawlessly!
Nathan is very unique. I like his stern and serious gaze. He looks quite wise, like a seasoned warrior.

@ Saerwen - Yay Aranel has always been one of my favorite designs from you :)

@ Luna - I'm loving the new eye textures! They look really detailed and colourful :) Nice morphs as well.

@ Purple lady - I like the transition of your character over time. It's good that the game allows you to do this, even if nothing else changes at least you can make your character get older. She's cool!

@ Keeblet - I would personally back off the eyeshadow a bit, it's so strong it draws attention away from the rest of her features. Also perhaps her jaw and chin could be reworked a tad? You could try shifting her nose and mouth down a tad and then thin her chin a bit? Also try squinting her eyes a bit, she looks quite surprised right now. Hope that helped.

@ Starlight - Great characters. You're really good at making your males look unique. Franken is cool looking and Ballock just looks great! Almost cute! haha It's very interesting work.

@ Zeleen - Huge improvement! I really like how you changed him! He looks so confident and handsome now. I like his tanned skin. It works very nicely with his eyes.

@ dnlewis - Thanks for posting her. She's very pretty. The hair works very well with her big eyes and pouting lips. Great character.

@ CdC - Good work. She is different looking. I like her rounded face. It compliments the hairstyle well. I think you made a good choice there. She looks young but determined. And her big black eyes give her a look of intelligence.
