Eva Amell, crazy bloodmage antiheroine. It occured to me about halfway through the game that she looks a lot like Emily Browning. My husband pointed out that there's also something distinctly Hillary Duff-ish about her too.
Posted Image

Posted Image

Posted Image

Only decent profile shot I got. Eva has a rather interesting nose.
Posted Image

Then there was Lucretia Cousland, the haughty, smooth-talking nationalist who is damn good with that bow. In my opinion, she is more "classically pretty" than Eva. To me, that translates to being more "boring looking" but her fire engine red hair and huge green-yellow eyes more than make up for it.

Posted Image

Spoiled brat pout.
Posted Image

Posted Image

Lucretia, unamused.
Posted Image

Just today, I decided I wanted to start the game as another mage because I love the class. There's something about Ryl Surana that reminds me of Bryce Dallas Howard. Moderately distinctive noses are so hawt on girls. She will be a well-meaning spirit healer with the people skills of an artichoke.

Comment Time:

LadyAly: Thank you for your comment :) This is my first time to use this feature and it end up quite well.

littlewisp: Kuaris has some interesting feature. I'm not sure about which particular feature but she gives out some masculine impression. I think you have created a unique character.

mochen: Among Cleo, Wolf and Perdisha I like Perdisha the most. Not only she has some unique facial features, but also I appreciate tough ladies.

Thank you for your comment on my characters. :D This is my first time to use "potato nose" and it turns out really well :) And it is good to hear you like Anso. :-)

woo...Dragon Rider! There is a dragon rider exist in Fereldon eventually! * thumb up *

Retrogue: Among the three ladies, I like Eva the most. It seems there is some dangerous edge within her. However, I think her eyes looks a bit soft. Maybe if the eye shape is changed a bit, she will looks more dangerous.

@ Chuonrath - I like the characters you've shown so far. I see you have quite a unique style of making females. It's cool. How come you won't show any more of your creations? I give all of my morphs away for everyone to use. I think you should show us some more of your stuff.

I guess you missunderstood me. I won't show the heads I made on request for others. I think they're no more mine and I won't compromise one of them I made them for. They may show them if they want to. I don't worry 'bout that.
But I can post some others here if you want to, as I've changed a lot of NPC heads in the game just for fun.
I didn't offer them as downloads cause I had the feeling there were enough others that were as good as mine, if not better and I didn't want to bother people with what I've made.

@ Starlight - Wow you have been busy! These are some really great characters. The ones that particularly stood out for me were Leithon, he really looks the part you gave him. Oleif, I like the simpleness of the design because again he looks just like how you described him. Leni has quite a unique look and I really like it. Henlen is also very nice, you used the hairstyle very well.

@ LadyAly - Thank you :) Perdisha is wearing the black unicorn from hsli sexy mage robes in the nexus.

@ Retrogue - Very nice characters. Your fiery redhead is my favorite. She's very striking!

Wow a ton of new characters.  I am glad this thread hasn't died! I just wanted to take the time to comment on some of the work done here.  I tried to get some of everyone's but I only went back a few pages. Posted Image  Gonna go fire up the toolset and have a go at a revamp.  Thanks for the inspiration.

Mochen , Zoey could be the elven version of Pinkish Bubbles. Love your recent work, but that last morph w/scary Qunari mask... she scares me! I also really, really love Locien. That tattoo really works on his face. Your elves are really well done. Pthhh I have always been a huge fan of yours, and I hope you keep on making morphs. (Hero worship)

Ronnel, I like her face shape. The makeup is a little bright and the color doesn't really mesh to well w/her beautiful red locks.

Starlight, the broodmother killer made me chuckle. He looks so cute and dare I say innocent for the job he has. I also really like your work as well. It is good to see that DA: O isn't dying yet.

Retrogue, I think that Eva is an excellent design just as she is. She is beautiful, and confident looking. Lucretia is also well made, but I think her eyes are bit large, and could use a bit of squint to minimize the doll eyes that Dragon age gives its characters. I love her hair color and style, I always have issues getting that style to work on my toons, and you pull it off very well. Ryl is a great looking elf. Did you toolset make her, or the in game CC? I see what you are saying about Bryce Dallas Howard. The shot of her in her harrowing us what is the strongest resemblance to the actress. I just went back a few pages, and caught your Hawkes back a few pages, very nicely done.

Chuonrath, I really, really like Eorwyn. Her makeup, skin tone, eye texture, hair color and style, she is just a really well put together morph. You have a very distinct style to your elves and I admire that.

LadyAly, your cute looking Mage Hawke, I like what you did there. It is hard for me to make varied characters in the DA2 character creator. If you don’t mind sharing, which preset did you use for her? I also am happy to see you also creating for DA: O. She is defiantly a good representation of your personal style.

AvatarHunter, Can you teach me how you do that? I know I have said this before, but they all look so distinctly different and believable. Agyness is my favorite, she isn’t perfect, but she is still beautiful.

Zeleen, Kaleb is a drastic overhaul. I like both designs, but now he is such a pretty boy! I am really drawn to his eye area. You do great work. Quinton Cousland is Beefcake worthy. Your Leliana is so much better than mine! Jealous snarls.

Purple Lady, I also age my Hawke as the game progresses. It is a very well done progression on the hairstyles and the added tattoo. In Act 3 she looks like a b@d@ss warrior. Confident and bold.

Nowshin, great collection of Hawkes. I always murder knife that damned dwarf too, teach him to call me a sodding dog lord! Also thanks for the Anders morph you had up for a while, he is hawt.

@Saerwen Thank you very much dear. But I have no idea how I managed to make her *lol* Naw -honestly - I have no screenshot from the sliders - sorry. I used some stuff from Nexus, though.

@mochen I can only agree with Saerwen - your recent work is absolutly excellent - I was drawn into Flemeth. ^^ absolutely perfect :)

@Retrogue Eva is stunning - I like her a lot.

@Starlight very good work aas always - I really like your tribute scenes for the cute dwarf.
Especially outstanding for me are Jin and Henken - a very balanced composition on both :)

Starlight: All your dwarven males are so adorable! I particularly like Kalf. Bjor, however is downright hot yet he still looks like he could be a haughty mage.

Mochen: Flemeth looks like the real deal. That is very well-done! I also love how you did Tabitha. Maybe it's the very dark eye makeup but she has a very 'creepy little girl' vibe going on, which is awesome.

Ronnel: I love your Hawke's eye makeup but I agree that another hair color would have suited it better. Possibly black.

Chuonrath: You unnamed character looks beautiful. How did you get her eyebrows to arch like that? Uthred's face is great--the scars and the intense eyes are perfect--but I think you made his jaw just a wee too large.

And thanks for the nice words about my characters, y'all. :) Aside from the More Hair mod and PT's Vibrant colors (which I did not use for Eva's eyes but I did for the other two), I do not use any appearance-changing mods. For Eva, i know I used the second human female preset. For Ryl, I used the last elven preset--it has a closely shaved head. I forget which one I used for Luctretia.

Hmm, I've never posted here before, but I suppose I should show off some of my Wardens

This is Soteria Amell, my mage. I was trying to change it up a bit by creating wardens with darker skin tones. She is one of my favorites.

Next is Persephone, aka "Persy", an elf mage

It's a bit hard to tell, but she has a scar over her eye (covered by the bangs) from a mishap with a demon

To arch the eyebrows you raise them in the eyes tab, then you lower them again in the brows tab. The arch keeps on the outside and the brows are lowered on the inside. And the face has no more this "astonished or arrogant" look it has when the eyebrows are raised.
Uthred isn't "perfect", I know. But he was more of a quick shot just for fun and I never worked on him anymore.

I must admit that I use every "beauty-mod" that was released. One of the best is Bidelle's Make-up Studio followed by  LOTC's Eyelashes. Especially for female heads.
Bidelle also made some wonderful eye textures (that's Uthred's eyes -bidsilver) And not to forget all these fantastic hair mods. I don't like tattoos very much.

I'll try that brow trick when I roll up another character, which may actually be tonight since I want to do a run-through with a Ser Gilmore Lives romance. ^ ^ For Eva, I raised her eyes by one and her eyebrows by two notches because I wanted her to have a rather haughty appearance. Most of the time, however, I will leave the eye positioning alone but actually lower the brow height by one notch. I think it makes the character look thoughtful and/or perpetually cranky, which is usually the desired effect. XD

Jeliza Talbrin, stab rogue extraordinaire. I used PT's vibrant colors to make her give a new meaning to the term "pink eye". *Snicker* The Morrigan hair style is thanks to the More Hair mod. I tweaked one of the default DA:O female elf preset faces--the one with green/blue lips.

She's supposed to be a tough cookie but there is a heart of gold in there.

The height of the eyes and the mouth is what makes a face long or short (round).
Move them close together and you'll have a more small, round face, but a very high forehead which you must cover by an appropriate hair style. If you want to use a special hairstyle and can't cover the forehead, use some special eyes to distract the eye of the observer. Bidelle has some very good "sparkling" eye textures. But they only work in the game, not on a picture. I always try to find a hairstyle that compliments the face, though I love long hair. If I want to use a hairstyle that shows the forehead, I move up all facial features (eyes, mouth, nose, chin, jaw) as far as possible and fine-tune them afterwards.
A "pain-in-the-a..." is always the mouth. Especially when doin' a head for an NPC. The difference between a PC-head and an NPC-head is, that you don't see the PC-head while talking or smiling or any other facial movement. But you see the NPC-head while doing this. A big mouth sometimes looks like two sausages moving. It spreads so wide that I sometimes think the ears will be looking for shelter on the backside. But even a small mouth sometimes looks like that. And it's difficult to find the right size of the mouth and lips.
That's some of my "experiences" with morph-making in the toolset.
Ah yes, and at last, the head often looks a little different in the game compared to the toolset.

I have not tried making NPC facemorphs yet. Oddly, the wonky sausage lips does not seem to be a problem when Hawke spoke in DA2 even if you make them full. As for foreheads, I kind of like them higher, even if the hair style leaves it completely exposed such as in Ryl's case. A strong forehead is not a bad thing. :)
