Not saying Petehog isn't allowed to make whatever he wishes. It's just that I really thought i had found my place in the mod-scene too.

I was already sort of nervous making presets as it is.....
I have deleted the images from DA: R.

Oh Aly, I just meanth that his morphs are generally made to fit everyones taste. He has found the perfect spot where most peope will like what he does. Therefore, if he starts making presets that resembles the NPC-morphs he already make... people will choose them since he has tailored them for the public. Uhh, nevermind

Here's a slighter better picture but still with the blotchiness.
My vid card is crappy so I wouldn't be surprised.
Umm...the guy behind you has got something wrong with his robe...
Wrong? I think it looks just right. Hell~ooo, generic Circle mage
And seriously, I'm starting to think the mages have a personal fitness center somewhere - reading books does not give you abs like that, sadly enough. Or abs at all. Unless you crunch while reading.

Did he start making presets because he felt compelled to do so? I don't think he's ever released presets before.

He's to sexy for his shirt.
Nah what I just use the "a little skin" mod for only mages and light armor. (Everyone else makes no sense) the massive armor version makes me facepalm (what exactly is the point in massive armor that doesn't fully cover the body? )

Since I've missed a few more pages again, another quick summary:
@Ryzaki Forest's eyes seem a little high and her nose is perhaps slightly on the larger side but the overall shape is quite good (I'm looking at cheek and jaw placement). Minor nitpicks on my part as there are certainly people with large noses in the real world as it is (and as you said, it's a flaw you wanted to introduce and that's fine).
@Dearion Enna has just a touch too much eyeshadow for my taste but otherwise, she looks pretty good in that picture.
@LadyAly Sonya is looking pretty good in-game.
@jynthor I've probably seen too many wider dwarven faces lately so Elvey threw me off a little. By human standards, her eyes would appear to be just a bit too wide for her head (from what I recall, human eyes should generally be wide enough that you could fit five equally-wide eyes across your face with eyes #2 and #4 placed where our eyes normally are). However, dwarves aren't human so it's easy enough to throw human proportions out the window since there should be some differences between the two.
@animalsienna I agree with yasuraka.hakkyou's assessment and I'd say widening their noses a bit would look pretty good (maybe not too much in the case of Zephyr as he appears to have quite a lean and narrow face as it is).
@VirusCat Take your time with the elven males. I've made a few for my characters but it's usually been a struggle to get them to look even half-decent. The default shapes make them look almost alien.

I hope more people think like you do... but he has 70k downloads on his mod and if that speaks for what sort of style is preffered by the "public"... then my hours spent on making my presets was for nothing.
Just make additional presets instead of replacements and people can use yours and his.
Problem solved.

I wanted to keep my mod as userfriendly as possible. Fiddling with a chargenmorph is something they can choose to do, like LadyAly did, nothing I will force on them.
If someone more popular releases something, people will be drawn to that and not notice the "little guy in the corner that no one knows". I know that by experience and it isn't fun to stand in the shadow of someone.
But as I said in the posts above, he's free to do what he wants to do. I shouldn't make morphs anyway, it takes helluwa lot of time...

Thanks for the comments, but I think I like their noses the way they are. As Tattercloak pointed out, Zephyr's face (and nose) are supposed to be long and thin. As for Riselka, I like that her nose is small and button-y. I think it's cute.

Petehog, make sure to do what YOU want to do. I will release 8 presets for each race/gender-combination and then take a long break from DA altogether. If people want to use my mod, they hopefully will do that and get some use from it. And I'd like to see some presets from you too in the future. I guess it was just the timing that made me react. Sorry all. I will go to bed now.

And honestly their are plenty of mods that modify the presets already so I don't get what the big deal is.

there's part of the problem right there. to simulate someone searching the nexus:
"hmm, random persons morphs, random person, OMFG PETEHOG's MORPHS."
hurts an artist's pride and self-confidence when people automatically jump to the popular stuff, because its popular.

If someone ninja'd your work (in some regard) and then got all the attention, wouldn't you be a little annoyed, at least?

If that artist isn't assured enough in the quality of his/her work to not let that affect her maybe they shouldn't put their stuff out there. That's their problem not other people's. That's like a music artist going "well X makes better music so I just give up! I'll never be as popular anyway!" Its somewhat...silly to me to be honest. You're that insecure in the quality of your work?
If someone ninja'd your work (in some regard) and then got all the attention, wouldn't you be a little annoyed, at least?
What pray tell is the big difference between someone "ninjaing" (and this isn't a ninja anyways people having been begging Pete for morphs for a while). that artist and that artist ninjaing someone else who they don't know as well?
I mean seriously I don't get all stuffy because someone does a better job at something than me. I try to do the best I can and if that person work is better recieved that simply means I now have a goal to aim towards not for me to go "Oh well I give up because someone else happens to be better than I am!"
So no I wouldn't be annoyed. I'd look at their mod, see if I can pick up some pointers and then either decide I like the work or shrug and move on.
That said I'm not much for attention. If I make something and am satisified with it I'm pretty much fine.
Alot of your guys morphs are better than mine. That certainly doesn't stop me from seeing my characters as beautiful and trying to make them even better.
