And sorry for asking, but is there any chance for you to upload this morph as a mod?
I think I saw a collection of morphs by you on dragonagenexus some time ago, but I can't find it now when I'm looking for it:crying:

if I may ask, what mod do you use for men hair and beards? And how did you manage to add beard and still change lips and jaw?
also - do you clever people know how to change NPC's clothes? I found some tutorials, but they're ll for new NPC, while I'd like to know if I can change e.g. Zev's armour so that he looks more like a cool assassin when he tries to kill the Warden.

For human, elfs and dwarf men I mostly use:
tucked hair by tmp7704:

Additional Hairs for DA by boodrl:

Lucius, Brutus and Gorm are qunaris and sadly after applying the beards changing the jaw, mouth and cheeks isn't possible anymore.
Two more qunaris:

Ah, I love how you gave this one darkspawn-like facial features - that's how ghouls should look IMHO.
If I may (and I apologize if this has been asked before, as I'm sure it has), I'm wondering what programs you guys use to design these characters - I bought the PC version of DA:O the other day and I'm interested in designing some far more detailed and customizable characters like the ones posted here.

@Eterna5 Love your duster girl Mahri- must be great seeing her in action.
Speaking of which... and in keeping with the OP's idea of a "'Proud-of-Character'-thread" rather than a fashion show thread, these are my current ones... finally in a form I'm pretty sure I finally won't be deleting for simply being too "meh" looking...
Kruklya (Battleforge) Brosca...

My favorite of my creations... hard to see playing another Duster after her... may play her twice though...

________________________________
Sywynlae Surana...

She's the only character other than Kruklya I've managed to stick with past 14th, languishing with her at 21st before Landsmeet at present. It's the whole wide, square chin thing, plus that "meh" vanilla hairstyle and the vanilla look of black hair... so I remade her and may add the .mop to the old char, but... at so late a stage? She's a bit heavy on the blue make-up, but, well, I'm a guy- what do I know of cosmetics- and besides, she looks great with the blue theme...

________________________________
Azryk...

He's actually the first char I made for DAO but remade for the umpteenth time. The hair makes his wildness work at last... always loved that tattoo, just too easy to overdo it...

________________________________
Feylathil...

I struggled making this "woodland elf" for so long trying to make a face that was long and thin... and cool to look at. Alas I ultimately failed and went with a wide nose and jaw, but I really like how it turned out as a result. The scar works on him too, thinking a bear mauled him as a lad, inspiring his preference for archery that keeps him away from melee...

________________________________
Aedlyn...

To round out my elves... Still waiting to do justice for her. I've run her and her twin brother through the origin multiple times- also had many sculptings of their appearance- only got one version of her as far as 12th level into the Circle Tower before giving up. Her original look was a bit too frumpy and glamour-oriented, but I found that when I finally gave up trying to make her attractive foremost and went with fierceness instead, I ended up with a beautiful fierce look after all. The scar across her left eye (opposite the tattoo) just gives her a sense of danger despite her "exotic" grace... That's more what I had in mind for the character who would decapitate Vaughan and have a legacy of "You picked the wrong elf girl to mess with..." Waiting for the right moment to get her through it on Nightmare...

________________________________
Jagan Aeducan...

My regal dwarf- took a while getting him out as well. I was pretty satisfied with the face early on, but the vanilla hair- and even most of the modded dwarf male hair I've found- just makes him look ridiculous or like a mild-mannered accountant anyway. This hair- the same Witcher one I used on Feylathil but lighter color- really works on him. Can't see him any other way...

________________________________
Blunchard Aeducan...

My rogue prince... not sure when I'll get to him. He just makes me smile, from his name to his own smile... Made him intentionally exaggerated, but the expression he gets really works on him...

Bhryaen...

One of many attempts at a self-portrait... still a work in progress... only so much the CC can do really...

Perhaps I'll follow your lead and mod the CC, then go from there - both of my "canon" character designs are in need of an overhaul that it seems only the PC version of the CC is capable of (I'd previously been using the 360 version).
Also, I notice your elves have actual elf ears, like elven NPCs have - is that a mod? If so, I'd be very interested in acquiring it as I don't care for the "elf" ears the vanilla CC gives us.

The one thing to know is that most of these "professional" (and unpaid hehe) DAO face scultpors out there gravitate to the toolset to make their faces because there's a lot more range and options that way. Thus at least half of the mods I ended up downloading (it's like 40 or more- the reason I'm not just mentioning them off-hand) are for the toolset only. That didn't help because every time I've tried the toolset I can't stand the way modded content just shows up as a name (which of course I can't associate with a specific hair style or eye tint), and thus I end up just abandoning it. But there's a trick I used by first writing up a chargenmorph file that mentions those toolset-only hairstyles and tints and then using the "chargencompiler" to force-include them. There's a lot of quirky oddities that way when going through the CC options, but it means I get to work in the CC with a lot of the same stuff that the toolset experts tend to have exclusively, and this way I can just click through each one, seeing what they look like instantly... Had to learn all that stuff to make it happen, but it didn't take too long... heh...
Another trick I use is to start all characters from the independent CC, not the CC that comes from starting an actual DAO game. That way you can always go back to the character and make a new version until you feel you've "gotten it right." Or if you get a new mod with some new hair or color, you can now try it out on the char. Everything you make for a game becomes locked in as an .mor file, so you can't edit it further.
Kruklya did take a while but she was really the earliest of my mod-enhanced characters. You can make her by just starting a Duster girl and clicking all the way to the bald preset. That's her, just with hair and a number of tweaks I did. Most people like to shrink the nose and mouth on girls to make them pouty whatevers, but I love the tough dual wield girls you see at the Provings, so I wanted my Duster to be a real dwarf with a big dwarf nose... and I think she's way more gorgeous than any of the usual tallfolk variations. :-)

DAO ModManager and DAModder, the essential easy-installer programs for getting mods in the game. ModManager is better and is used with more mods out there, but DAModder has a great feature that lets you filter out official content so you can more easily find the mods you installed yourself
DA_CharGenMorph_Compiler- read about it at the dragonagenexus link spot (easy to google to), and then look for web tips on how to add things to a chargenmorph file. If you want to go my route of sticking to the CC anyway, you're best adding a chargen file to the toolset folders and then using the compiler to make them CC options...
OK, I made a good guess... I've got 46 DAO appearance-related mods going... The most notable might be these:
[EDIT: A far easier-to-read and extensive list is directly below in mulch00's post, though maybe there might be something unique I have, no idea...]
Bidelle's_Cosmetics
Black_Hair_Is_Black
CC_Extra_Tints_&_Tones
CS Hair Tints
Don't Worry Be Hairy (DWBH)
DragonAgeRedesigned
Schwarzalbenheim (dwarf male hair models)
Elf_ears (that's the mod I mentioned that changes the presets)
fmorgana Face, Eye Texture (you may recognize her from this thread...)
FrecklesPlus
LOTC (lots of different mods)
Luna's (hair and eye)
More_CC_tat_colors
More Things (very good mod)
More Hairstyles
Neutral Teeth (changes teeth color to somewhat whiter, but not pearly...
PAngel's Eye Textures
PineappleTree's Vibrant Colors
Ren's Hair
Tucked Hair
Witcher_Aesthetics
Witcher_2 (hair and face... That Kayleigh dwarf you mentioned earlier up the page uses one of the Witcher hairstyles... It looks great on a dwarf, not so good on a thin elf face hehe)
Wyld's Tattoos
There are more that were just difficult to work with, plus there's plenty more out there that only a mulch00 or fpmorgana really know how to find, but googling those names should bring up the mod sources. I also left out tattoos and scars for the most part which were the least available for the CC. In the CC scars tend to all get presented with the youngest-looking skin tone which only seems well to work on elves that are supposed to look fairly ageless.
Hope that helps! Always good to assist another Orzammar resident. Too easy to get calloused and mean in this city ;-)
Oh, yeah, and keep in mind that most of the hair and such mods are for humans only... particularly human female... but there were still a good number of choices for dwarf girls.

it has been a while since I posted here (too much work and too little free time)
To answer the question about the tools:
I use the toolset to create the faces (I'm just not talented enough to get anything good out of the CC), Gimp to make textures and Blender if I make, modify or port a mesh (mostly hair and beards for qunaris).
As far as I know there is no application for camera positioning.
I usually move the character close to a wall (or other solid object) position them, pause the game and rotate the camera so I can see the face, then I take a screenshot. That's all.
Here are some of the mods I use:
Wyld Tats by Wyldsong
LOTC's Eye
LOTC's Female
Eyebrow Presets
Dracomies True Textures:
Pineappletree's Vibrant Colors

Thanks. I played with the human head base mesh and some textures (normal maps) and the ghoul came to be.
I hope to see the redesigns of you canon characters and hopefully some new.
Your canon Aeducan is very impressive.
Dwarfs are the best
@Eterna5:
Mahri looks really good.
@Bhryaen:
Kruklya and Blunchard are awesome. I really admire those lucky people who are so talented that they can make such unique and simply outstanding faces with the CC.
@nemesisdivina-vow:
Wow, Heather is amazing. Great work!
