Oh, neglected to answer your Q on tint files. That's true for using a lot of modded colors- the scalp being default light- white or pinkish- for much of the modded colors and showing through on numerous hairstyles, including vanilla. But the vanilla colors are always a backup plan for me since they tend to tint the scalp the same color as the chosen hair color (and a minority of the modded hairs also do this). With the Oghren hair though for some reason not even vanilla hair colors fix the showing-scalp issue. Not that it can't be fixed, of course. Oghren's is fine somehow. For sure there are other hairs with the same issue (bright scalp showing through), just not as constant-eyesorish as modded Oghren's. I'm just not sure how I'd go about fixing the modded version of Oghren's hair even if it were possible. Any ideas?

@Neveri
Thanks, though you have your own way as well. You don't happen to have her number, do you? She comes there often? Snark was asking about her... before he got abducted by the Wardens...

OK, so maybe Frost and Flame Dwarves were just made-up, but everyone knows about the Aqua Dwarves... you know, that live in and out of the Waking Sea. They plague the coasts and sea travel, coming up from the depths to sink ships and raid coastal villages. They've even been spotted once in Lake Calenhad, and it's said they have a genetically mutualistic relationship with lichen- hence their green (and Oghrenlike) hair. Their language contains phrases like "By the lichen!" and "May thee rest in the Algae." These photos were taken in a rare moment of spotting them in Dust To- I mean, in an underwater grotto...

 @ Bhryaen - Aqua dwarves! :o

@ Mulch - those qunaris are amazing. I'm currently trying to do one, and the jaw is driving me crazy.
 I downloaded Blender, but I was away whole week, and didn't have time to do it. But, if it's possible to make hair for qunari in it, then I have to learn it, I guess.
Unless you'd decide to release hair from your qunari morphs as a mod. :whistle:

Shayna is beautiful... you should post sliders and textures under each of your morphs, you know. xD

@ Mochen - I really like Drupadi, she somehow looks both fragile and strong at the same time.

@ Neveri - Larana is real beauty, though it took me a moment to realize her hands were not missing. xD

Korlys, elven assassin.

@Bhryaen: Haha, well, last I saw of her she was making the nobles at some tavern meant for nobles in Denerim highly uncomfortable. ;D
Also, aqua dwarves just made me gigglesnort tea. Lovely.

@Klidi: I didn't notice her arms all but blended in with the snow until, well, now. That's kinda funny.
Korlys looks cool, I love his little smirky smile!

I made a dwarven lady. Again.

Gyda. (edit: updated the screenshot, I prefer the light at the Proving grounds anyway. And hey, a duster returning to the scene of the crime is always fun)

@Bhryaen:

Yes, you can port a lot between games. I think most of the hairstyle mods for DAO use Sims2 hairmeshes and textures. Some armor from DA2 and the Witcher 2 are already ported to DAO (and some DAO and TW2 armor to Skyrim).
It is actually not that hard to do and it is fun. Kind of like the arts and craft stuff one does in Kindergarten, but without the sticky glue fingers. ;)
Somtimes it can be tricky, well I'm not very good with proportions, so for me it is a whole lot of guesswork. But I like to learn and I don't get frustrated easily, the bright side of my, let's call it, "happy-go-lucky personality", I guess :)

I love your dwarfs. Frost, fire and Aqua dwarfs, that's such a great idea. There should be dwarfs for every element or at least somthing like "swamp dwarfs". You know with strange hats and overalls, a bit like the Malifaux Goblins.

@Neveri:
Wow, Gyda looks amazing, so real.
Well, the whole making an armor port mod is a bit complicated, because not every company allows armor ports, let alone the publishing of said ports. So I don't think that making a mod of it will be possible.
I guess, since I bought both games in question, I can port as much as I want, as long as it's for my personal use only and I don't make it accessible to the public/share it. I'm not so courageous that I'd mess with copyright.
There are so many great armor mods out there anyway, with a lot better content than I could make. ;)

@Klidi:
It is possible and not all that hard to port hairstyles or refit them to different species/races/genders. Blender is the main obstacle, but once it is under control the rest comes naturally.

Korlys is so handsome. I love his facial expression and that smile of his.

@SergeantSnookie:
Your elven lady is quite beautiful. Nice work.

@Mochen:
Destiny looks very regal with that hairstyle. I like her soft brown eyes.
Drux is a very cool design. He looks sort of undead. I like how the tattoo on his forehead matches the ornament on the wall behind him. Really cool.

Shayna, again, with different hairstyle and textures. I just can't make up my mind which version I should use as a warden:

@ Neveri - I like Gyda, she looks sweet and badass at the same time

@ mulch - well, it's not as difficult as it first seemed... maybe next week I will have my first rescaled hair. If only my bosses didn't require me to work... :(
Shayna is beautiful in all versions, but personally I like her best with that short hair with earrings.

@ SergeantSnookie - very pretty, I like her

@ Mochen - Destiny looks like Orleasin princess. :D

Dhaelan (belongs to MidnightMoonCat), dwarven noble, but not Aeducan, who became a WardenPosted Image

Lucien (belongs to Alexmancer) - a feminine healer. With the stress on 'feminine', but not too girlish and not too young.

@mochen: Destiny looks absolutely stunning. I love the colouring on her! And Drux... scary as hell, really. And totally awesome.

@mulch00: Shayna looks really good with that hair. I know your pain in choosing hairstyles. I've settled for changing it a couple of times during a playthrough.

@Klidi: Dhaelan looks really nice, very noble looking. And Lucien looks very neat, I like that long hair on him.

@Klidi:
Yes, work is indeed something time-consuming. But I found that reducing the time spent with sleep and food intake leaves one with a lot more time to do fun things. Just kidding, that wouldn't be healthy ;)

Dhaelan and Lucien look amazing.

@Neveri:
Andrea looks very intense. Fenra, a female Fenris, is very pretty. I wish elves in DA2 would look as good as this. Emerald is so beautiful with the white hair and skin and those stunning emerald green eyes. Also the background fits perfectly.

I'm pretty much in love with this guy.  Also, his hair looks familiar, but I can't seem to find a download for it.  Can you point me in the right direction?

@Schratty:
It's the LLBlue hair from Look Hair by Risibisi. Her original hairport is for elf males, I just refitted it for human males. I don't know if Risi uploaded the human male version yet.

Cindy and Jenna are both beautiful! Cindy looks like a Middle Earth elf... or perhaps from Arlathan, noble and sublime. :D

Gandalf, darling, is that you? xD This is how old mages should have looked like in the game. Sadly, Bioware's idea of old men is a big potato instead of a nose and black patches under eyes... :( They should employ you. The game would look so much better. :D

Thank you. He's Gandalf inspired but I'm not good with creating morph based on pictures of people.
Yes, a lot of the original old character ingame don't look just tired or old, they look sick and sleep-deprived.

Auryn is so pretty. She's got such a friendly and nice expression. Great work!

Yeah, as far as I know there aren't any versions of it that's fixed the arm problems, sadly. Nor the ones on the hips.

This is about the Tallis armor beta mod by WeAreLegion

The arms do distort at the top on my human female, don't think they do on female elf, I'll check today later. I absolutely love this armor and if anyone knows of a way to fix that, it would be wonderful! Thank you :wub:

hihi, the Archdemon would be too shocked to attack. The Borrodmother, though, might knit me hat, maybe one that looks like the one Jayne from Firefly is wearing ;)

I'll see what I can do. Maybe it is fixable.

@luna1124:
Ok, I gave it a try. It is still less than perfect (very far from perfect).
The deformation on the arms and the torso of the Tallis mesh, most likely caused by porting, are severe, in my opinion. I'd might need to spend more time on it, but even then It'd just be a patchwork. I did, however, fix the upper arm deformation during running/walking and some of the worst "bumps" are gone now. There are still "ugly" areas.
The neck of the human female now fits into the "collar" of the armor mesh now. Maybe I'll have a little more time tomorrow to smotth out some more areas and patch in some faces or I'll do that on the weekend. But I'll have another look at it, I promise.
For now I pm'd you and you can test it and see if it work a little bit better. It It is, as I said, very far from perfect.

I think a completely new port might be the best solution.
I can't do a DA2 port for this particular armor, because I don't have this DLC, maybe Amycus over at Nexus could do that or she could fix the existing, ported mesh a lot better than I can. You could write her and ask her about that. She is really nice.
