@mulch: If only I could get over my aversion to using the console.
That one mage robe looks perfect for a male mage I'm making.

@BevH:
I thought about maing an additional script that adds the items to the inventory when loading, but decided that the console runscripts would be more practical. There is a mod that is really great when you want to add items via runscripts: http://dragonage.nex...om/mods/1825//?

TY!
How do you all get your screenshots to look so clear and light? I always have to lighten mine up.

@mochen: she is sooo pretty!
@Luna: A lot depends on where you take the screenshots. It looks like you took the ones of Yula in the Fade and that's not always the best place. BTW, Yula is very cute.
Edit to add: The Origins seem to make characters look bad as well most of the time.

@ BevH - not sure what you mean with the last comment. Origins makes character look bad? How?
@ Luna - I always choose the background that will look the best with the character's skin. Often it's at the Cousland Castle as there are sunlight places, shadows, rooms with firelight, etc. But I also like ruins in the forest, the camp (with daytime camp mod) or Denerim - different alleys give different results. I also set my graphic card for highest performance, and played with the settings - in game as well - until I was satisfied. I still have to edit the contrast sometimes - the screenshots are always for some reason darker than the game.
And when I make pictures of Airam, I usually also use a filter since his hair always come as purple with tones, while he's supposed to have dark violet hair with blue tones. (didn't use it in the picture above)
Tara Cousland, the maleficar

^^They would not let my elf mage into Cousland castle for a photo shoot, so she was stuck in the tower^^
Ha!
Thanks for all the help. I am now setting the textures and graphics on extra high for screen shots I plan, so they do look better.

I did play an apostate city elf with it once.

@ Klidi: By Origins I'm thinking of the Dalish elf origin which I could never find a good place that didn't make his face look odd. Also, the mage origin during the Harrowing - the Fade generally makes everyone look awful.

Sereda Aeducan may have been framed by her youngest brother for the murder of their eldest, but she's rocking that Stonehammer armor from the Loincloth Fashion mod (Link on previous page, if you like). Other mods used were Dracomie's textures, Pineappletrees colors and TMP7704's Tucked Hairs. She'll be back as she swore revenge on Bhelen, that backstabbing little weasel won't profit from his treachery.

I need help!! I downloaded this hairstyle, but I can't get it to show up. I think it may have to do with the wrong resource line. It seems to be for Laplace instead of Blue, but when I change it, it still doesn't show up. Should I place the human files in with the ones for the elf?mulch00 wrote...

I don't think it matters where the files are in override, as long as the chargenmorph.xml has them listed correctly in it.
OMG mulch00's character Arkady is a doll

It also looks to me like the chargenmorph info on the site is actually for another style (LaPlace, as you said.)
Try this instead:
<resource name="hm_har_LLBlue_0" cut="1" />
I tried that in my CC, and it worked okay.

Thank you, TSM, this helped me too! Now I can pick and choose what hairs I want in my games!
and my latest: Rose Cousland, Human Noble Mage. I play console enabled, so I was able to use the console to change her class. It has its ups and downs. Alternately the game treats you as a mage AND a human noble, so I'm curious what kind of permutations that will put on the game.
Mods used were: Hairstyle day, Pineappletrees colors, Dracomies textures, the staff from Loincloth Fashion and the outfit is from Kirkwall Emporium. And i STILL can't get my pics as close as some of the other posters here. *sigh* this is the best I can do.

Rose and Ser Gilmore. Trying to decide if I want to run the Gilmore mod this playthrough as it really adds a lot to the Cousland's story.

Wow, amazing work everyone. So many beautiful and unique character:wub:...I'll comment later when I have a little more time.
@ sylvanaerie:
For close up screenshots you go as close to a wall or any other solif obstacle, pause the game and rotate the camera. Make you character walk this makes the "fine tuning" of the distance easier.
Also, sometimes the faces look really nice from a distance but start to look stange in a close-up or vice versa.
I hope that helps a little.
