Agreed. Anytime I play an elf I romance Zevran(which nearly kills me because I'm such a huge Alistair lover). At least in DA2 elves were at height with humans. I hope they are in DA:I. Why is it elves are always portrayed as short? They're not dwarves or gnomes! lol. Actually view elves as tall and lithe, but thats just me
Zevran tends to suit my elves. They tend to be far more into him as they have edges of defiance in them born out of the alienage or circle. I don't do dalish elves except for the once because I have a wedding mod for zevran (such a nice way to end that love story) which doesn't work with dalish. I also happen to be doing mostly mages lately. Running them as apostates so I blow through the circle part then start my story as one where Duncan catches them in the wildes taking out several Darkspawn and then he conscripts them. For the elf apostate, they don't have problems with the chasind because they are all outcasts. Not sure if that would be true, but I kind of like it. They were once with the dalish but had to leave because of their magic....
I love that elves are taller in skyrim (except wood elves) but way too angular in features there. Why can't they just keep them pretty similar? I mean there is no logical reason to make elves so small. No they are not gnomes, and you read my mind because I was thinking exactly that!!!

lol, I guess. I haven't romanced anyone as a dwarf simply because of the height difference. It would take all of the seriousness out of it to see Alistair/Zevran/Morrigan/Leliana banging someone half their height.
Just thinking about it makes it sound so goofy to me.
I did a romance with zev and alistair with a dwarf noble. If you have IRS alistair and the romance mod for zev and have the nude mods because sex in underwear is just WEIRD... it's really horrible to watch. Sex itself is just creepy. But alistair gets on his knee to kiss her... very weird ... and with Zev she seemed to magically grow to elf size for the kiss.
I will never again play a dwarf. I'm not even fond of Alistair with an elf. He looks just way too big for my elves but I really don't play them much at all. Should have made them closer to human height.
I am doing a Dwarf Noble run for the first time ever and the romance is off-putting to say the least from a visual perspective. Needless to say I am playing this run rather sporadically since this will be my umpteenth time playing DA:O.

Just go to Dragon Age Nexus and run a search on tattoos. As far as make-up and such, just look under the categories of "Hair and Face" and "Models and Textures" and see the offerings. It's a lot to see for sure.

I can't find any tattoos that look like some I've seen here... they funky lyrium looking ones.
I seem to be making most of mine look kind of similar. Need some new mods to change it up. I have I think most of the hair mods. Just can't find anything cool or different for makeup or even some of the really cool eyes I've seen.

It is a lot to browse to be honest, but they are there.
As for facial features, the only mod I use is Pineapple's eye colors since that is something that appealed to me with all those eye colors. I tend to keep my female without make-up and maybe use some basic tattoos. Looking glam in a medieval game seems a bit odd to me, but to each their own. I actually made my MOP files for the character creator, such as the image that I posted here.

Actually, it's tiny by comparison to what I've sifted through for skyrim. Now that is a massive amount of mods. I've spent days looking through them. I just never find anything in the face/hair ones other than the ones I've used. There aren't that many pages. Maybe a dozen? That's not much at all. But actually, I'm okay with the ones I have. I'll search again and see if I missed something but I'm sure I didn't.
I'm sort of slowing down now with my DAO fun anyway. I've played it about as much as I could without feeling a bit bored by it. I actually broke out skyrim today and did the alternate start but got a little bored once I finished getting the dragonstone for the jarl. Hooked up with my future hubby right away and will set up our hearthfire estate, but I played that one so much that it's just not as fun anymore. Sort of the same here. I'm catching up on tv now. Haven't seen one episode of Game of Thrones. My Tivo is calling me. But I think I might do another elf run since I haven't really spent much time romancing Zevran. Might have one more of those in there.

Yea, I'm with you on the DA:O mild burnout and the same with Skyrim. Though I did install a new quest for Skyrim that actually allows spell-making. Haven't finished the quest yet, but I am curious as to how the spell-making will work. I was so mad when it was revealed that Bethesda removed the spell-making feature from Skyrim, which was so important in the previous TES games. Since I almost always play a mage-type, it was a bit of a loss to me. As an aside (and off topic as we are now) here's my character (with the new freckles mod) from Skyrim; I love freckles. ![]()

She's cute. What is she wearing? I need some new armors and whatnot. I'm doing the blades ones now. I had some cute fairy type ones but they just don't fit in too well. Funny how I get tired of their outfits after a while. I think I have about 1040 hours in that game. 200 on xbox before I went to PC and 200 through modding. That's a lot of hours!

The eyes I use come from New Eyes for DAOT by ViLissa <<Link here
To get my tattoos to have the white-blue lyrium look it takes working the tattoo color channels in toolset (ie: Channel One: Blue; Channel Two: White; Channel Three: Blue) and setting the intensity until you get the desired white-hot blue look you want.
The tattoos I use a lot come from Aion-Themed Tattoos by lesatho <<Link here
Also: PAngel Tattoos by prosthetic_angel <<Link here
The one on my city elf comes from a Leliana mod. I just extracted the tattoo Odds and Ends by setiweb <<Link here
The "tattoo" on my Dalish isn't a true tattoo. its a skin texture from (I think) New Textures by MissB by MissBasha <<Link here
Just some examples to help
Keep in mind most of these are only accessible through Toolset

She looks awesome. I also love freckles (probably in part because I'm a freckle face myself lol). What race is she? Breton? All this talk about Skyrim makes me want to go back to playing it.
Here's my main Dragonborn- a Breton (who's an evil vampire mage
- edit: I didn't notice the dead body in the background when I first posted. I guess it's fitting for her character...):

My Dark Elf stealthy thief (I modded the elves to look less angular):

And finally my Nord vampire slayer (I don't have many screenshots since I haven't played her as much. Goodie-goodie characters in TES aren't as fun for me lol):

@DracoAngel Its one of the hairstyle's you can use with the CC - not sure if it was Ren's. I made Ahab as Awakening was coming out - and as my PC got wrecked I lost a lot of stuff. Its hard to find out which one it was.
Very pretty Skyrim Characters
I stopped playing it for the moment, too
Naviala,my Dark Elf

Arianna, Bretone

It's a set called the Contractor and Mavari Armors. The black retexture is awesome
I also have this mage armor which I think is so awesome for the game and very lore friendly The Hedge Mage Armor with an image here of what it looks like.

I really love the skyrim music. I used to love traveling around and just listening to the music... totally immersed in that game. Ah....
I was having lots of fun with archery yesterday. Skyrim has the best archery.
Sorry about that.... some nostalgia... felt really nice
and now back to our regularly scheduled programming...

Redguard Becca
She looks a lot like my favorite redguard. I gave her straight dark hair with blue eyes. Sometimes I'd do one with cute tight short curls as well. I really was fond of my redguards. I think my all time favorites were the evil vampire high elf who blocked out the sun every chance she got and my redguards. I played all except wood elf, argonian, and kijatt. In the end, it was the last ones that I played before I hit boredom that were my favorites.
Now if skyrim had the romances like DAO - it would truly be the best game ever. Make it so you can interact with your romance the way you do in DAO, get some of those mod type sex and romance scenes..... and so they could sleep in the same bed together... really add to that aspect and it would be a game that could not be surpassed.

Yeah, marriage in Skyrim was only good for a free meal and some extra gold
. I didn't like how the spouse's personality completely changed into a docile house wife/husband, either. It's really jarring for characters like Aela the Huntress.
