@ Schratty Hey come on now don't usher Yasu off the path of sharing! Well honestly I just want to get those 2 mages

@Yasu I don't know if it is the face paint or the eyes but that dwarf has Legion of the Dead written all over to me. Sigrun's comrade-in-arms for sure. All your choice on the mrh. release, wouldn't blame you if you just kept them because those are some nice designs.

@ AvatarHunter: First, thank you for your input on the mage. Second:  I'm all for sharing .mop and .mor files. However, I - personally - would not share .mrhs. They're like my childrens...haha, okay, that's an exaggeration... But, you are right, it is entirely yasuraka.hakkyou's decision. ;)

@ Tyrax Lightning: I always enjoy reading your observations. They're both insightful and amusing. :) Thank you!

Ah I must have misread, I was thinking mop files not mrh. Hmm I agree mop files are fine but mrh is a bit different, I can understand that. With that cleared up though maybe consider releasing mop files perhaps instead Yasu. Once again it is your call though, I still want those mages lol . . .

I wouldn't ever share the actual edit-able files, but I wouldn't necessarily mind releasing a CC preset version or something. its just that, between my Velanna morph apparently not working for people, and learning how to do said preset thing, it will take a while. sorry :(

on Sigmur: thankies :) I like the lipstick, doesn't seem out of place to me :P I've been mulling over a custom LotD armor set, similar to my pseudo Ancient Elven Armor mod, actually. have a kick-arse dwarf (rogue no less :D) in a kick ass custom armor.

@Yasa - Well, don't get discouraged.  Keep at it, because it is good work.

And, I just released a few additional versions of my evil mage, who is now Evil Eye Jack, since I keep getting comments that she looks like Jack from ME2:

Wyldsong: yup, gonna try to keep at it at least. hmm, I personally think these new editions might have a bit too much going on.

top pic: I'd drop the scalp tat. pretty close to my bald mage haha. don't get too close now :P

"samurai" ponytail: I'd drop the tat between the eyes.

last pic: reverse, I'd probably drop the trouble eye tat (or whichever one it is).

Is it just how the screenshot was taken (shoddy CC lighting and whatnot) or are the tattoo's all different shades of red?

I personally would be OCD about that and refuse to use them if I couldn't get them all uniform, but if it works for you, that's awesome :D

And just a suggestion, try it with a shade of gold or copper eyes and see if you like it better. It would mesh and bridge the fleshtone in with the ink/tribal warpaint better imo.

As always, just my two cents, it looks great whatever you decide to do with it.

I wouldn't release the MRH files. That is all of your hard work that you are just giving away. It's a process that you developed yourself that few can emulate. The moment you release an MRH file is when all individuality is lost. Someone could just take your MRH files and make some adjustments and call it their own.

Every MRH contains valuable information that is unique to its creator.

You are right to feel reluctant to release an MRH file because there are factors that can't be explained as to why it is hard to give to the public. Of course, do not let my words discourage you. Most people who give out .MRH files are either altruistic or don't value their work.

Let the "uncreative" learn to be creative...the way we had to.

The moment someone discovers how to turn my .mor files into .mrh files is the day I quit Dragon Age modding forever. It's not a matter of arrogance..but rather...there comes a point when you become attached to your work. By giving an MRH file, not only are you giving your work away for free, but you are teaching the world the exact steps involved on how you made it.

I'm not quite as toolset saavy as others yet, so I probably didn't mean the .mrh files. A few posts up, about the CC presets and such, is what I meant.

Regardless of whether or not you intended to, you may have just discouraged this idea. Don't see this as an attack or anything, though. I have no problem releasing a Leliana morph, or Velanna, but there always was a little doubt in the back of my mind about releasing my actual characters. Being jaded and cynical doesn't exactly help either, haha. I imagine Wyldsong is a much more altruistic, trusting person than I am, then.

I would understand completely, if that happened and you quit. And the point on pride is good, maybe I sort of forgot.

I'm sorry to everyone I ended up leading on, but I won't release any of my characters. You can use them as inspiriation for your own characters, though, and I suspect you'll be prouder of them if you can create them from scratch.

Well I for one didn't feel lead on, it wasn't like anything was written in stone or whatnot so no harm done. When you work that hard on something and are satisfied with the results I can see how you wouldn't want to just part with it. I don't really mind sharing some of my ideas via CC presets though I do have my handful of characters as well that I wouldn't think  twice about not doing that with. I will however take you up on your offer to inspire something new though =]. On another note here are a couple blonde mages I have been tinkering with(Christian and Sylvia).

Avatar: good to hear. On Sylvia, the nose has a "good" hourglass shape, perhaps thinning the nostrils, moving the eyes closer together, or thickening the bridge a little would help. don't necessarily see anything glaring about Christian, though I don't like that hair :P

ohh cmon don't hate on the hair lol. I don't know I thought it was different, tried to see if I could make it work. As far as Sylvia goes I do think i'll do something about the bridge of the nose but I'm fine with the placement of the eyes.

I'm the same way too. I'm fine with releasing Dragon Age characters..but I never give out my actual characters.

I think I only gave one out. And that was Morrigan Version 15. She was actually my mage before I decided to give her out to the public. But even then, I wouldn't give out the MRH file of her.

@ AvatarHunter: I totally dig Christian's face, but I'm gonna have to agree with YH, his hair doesn't seem to fit. Maybe make it a darker blonde to match his eyebrows better.

Once, again, just playing around with the toolset, I discovered I've never made any characters with beards. So, I created the following morph, whom I lovingly named "Hobo Dan". I just know Morrigan and Leliana are going to end up fighting over this hot piece of action - ha, ha! Enjoy!

Doh, no love for the bleach blondes I guess. Hmm I still like it  <_<. I throw in my vote for Hobo Dan as king of Fereldon! Good on you, I actually never messed around with beards either now that I think about it.

Yeah I know you meant the hair entirely lol, different strokes for different folks as always. I was responding more so to what Schratty suggested about making the color darker.

On the Evil Eye Jack shots:  On one tat, there is a color variation between the scalp and face.  Sometimes I kind of like it, sometimes not.  I may get around to fixing it later.  As for changing the eye color, not an option on that one I don't think.  It's an eye texture, and as far as I know, there is one color, but it does give the reptilian look to the eye.
The one with the dragon tat/scalp tat, yeah, that one is staying with the scalp tat, I like it, besides, I don't want to tread on Yasa's toes and have a mage looking too close to her work.  I did do a bald version of the original tat set up though, and another hair rendition, both will be up on the nexus later:

As for me being altruistic, while that is true, all my stuff is getting released as mop files.  I may like to share, but I just don't like to share too much=P (No offense taken, hopefully that didn't sound defensive.)

Vivienne Cousland: Arlatha's sweet work! She looks like a Dalish Noble Woman! She could be a Clan Chief! (Or Dalish equivalent.)

Zyri looks like a younger, more rebellious Wynne! I like it!

Nadera might wanna consider a smidgen bigger Nostrils. She's doing a good job of looking the Tomboy!

yasuraka.hakkyou: Sigmur's awesome! Though funnily enough, when I look at her, it doesn't make me think 'Noble', it makes me think 'Duster'. Perhaps the Tattoo?

Wyldsong: Those Dragon Tattoos rock! Though they might work better on Warrior Characters. I like all forms of Evil Eyes Jack, but I have to give my vote for top incarnation to the 'Samurai Ponytail' one. It looks best suited to the role of 'Evil Mage'. The JackAlt one is good too, but that Hairstyle partially covers an Eye, thus distracting attention from her Eyes, & since the Eyes are a very prominent feature, I don't think interfering with their view is a good strategy here.

AvatarHunter: Christian looks good, though he looks to me like an arrogant, pompous fool. Was this intended? He makes me think of Harry Potter's Draco Malfoy, all grown up. No offense is intended, just giving my point of view. He would work well for a 'Renegade' kinda playthrough.

Sylvia's Eyes look ok, I think the Hairstyle is hiding the skin between the Eyes & the side of the Face, thus obscuring the proportions. I think she needs a less wide Jaw, it looks too square & guyish. I think that's about it.

Schratty: If ya want Hobo Dan to look more tough guy, ya might wanna widen the Nose Bridge a bit, & maybe size up the Nose 1 click. If ya want him to look wise & cunning, then he's ready to go as is.

@Tyrax omfg man, impeccable point of view you got there. You pretty much just hit the nail on the head, that's what I was going for indeed. That's why I'm so adamant about keeping that hair, I just feel like I would completely lose that particular persona without it lol.

Tyrax: thanks! personally, if a certain origin has a tattoo, then I use it. otherwise, its fair game :D also, try telling her that to her face, she'd blow up in your face like a volcano :P

@Tyrax - Thanks. I am kind of partial to the Samurai one myself. As for the Dragon tat, thank wolfheart for those, they do rock. I may try and get a shot of that one morph in full plate and see how it looks.

A couple of quick comments:

@AvatarHunter: Your job on girl Cousland is amazing! She is really pretty and the resemblance is striking! I have to say I absolutely enjoy your work, keep it coming! :)

The only one I don't like that much is Sylvia, but that's due to her extremely slanted eyebrows. It gives her such a worried look... Christian, on the other hand, is true to his name - he looks like he could be on the cover of the next DA Vogue^^ He's a killer, and he knows it. :D

@Schratty: Your bald mage looks very suave indeed, maybe in the same league as Christian?^^

@Wyldsong: I must say I prefer your tattoo girl with the short hair to the other two. I have to admit that I'm not a fan of that scalp tattoo... due to it's being so blurred it looks sort of as if a car had driven over her head and left some tyre imprints.^^ I don't know, maybe it's just the lighting in the CC, but I'm just not getting the vibe there ;)

@Caladhiel Thank ye, I'm glad people are taking to Bryce's little girl so well because I really it myself. As for Sylvia I was trying to go for a harmless spirit healer look. I've already worked on the nose like Yasu suggested so probably try something different with the brows then maybe? I don't want her to lose the character that I see in her face but I will try a couple of things and see what I can come up with. I am always looking for suggestions for any character that I post straight from CC considering they're rough drafts to me so your input is much appreciated :)
