@Avatar - I like the tweaks, although there is something bugging me about Sylvia. I can't quite put my finger on it, but she is going in the right direction. I'll think on it and see if I can come up with an answer. She is definitely very pretty as is though. I know you are going for a softer look with Sylvia, and I can't quite out my finger on it, but something is throwing it out of whack for me...

@Cala - The scalp tat does come through quite nicely in game, and that look goes well in full plate armor with a sword in hand. I tried it out last night and I was pleasantly surprised.

@ Tyrax I have no problem with the jawline looking a little square, in fact I actually intended it to look that way. I always shoot for imperfect or sharp features over soft and rounded, it comes off as more realistic and less uniform to me. I mean take a look at Reese's jawline here, her jawline features are very sharp. I sort of make a mental note of different faces I come across and use it as a reference so I have some distinction and difference in my character face shapes. Thinking outside the box is all.

that, and the eyes look a little too harsh to me. You want a spirit healer, kind and caring kinda mage, right?
Yasu and Tyrax hit the nail on the head with the problem, although I wouldn't say the eyes make it too harsh, but give it that exotic, almost seductive look, and the jawline makes it a little harsh. But, if you like the look you have, then rock on with it. Like I said, she is definitely pretty, she just didn't entirely have that soft look. But going for the imperfect/realism thing works just fine imho. The only other thing I can think is maybe thinning out the face just slightly, but that is just my opinion...

Speaking of which, Tayo's the last rescuable character I still need to finish resurrecting, but before I do it, I need to finish optimizing her & getting her design ready to go in all respects. Her anatomy & colors are done, including her 'realistically imperfect' part of the strategy, but 0 of the default BioWare Hairstyles are adequate for her & my design plan for her. I think she needs a mod hair to be completed, & i'm a newbie to Mods, & the Toolset. (Which i'm still trying to figure out how to even get started on, let alone operate, let alone the task of attempting to make good creations. Also, I downloaded the EclipseRay10 from the BioWare Site, & I can't figure out how to Install it, if it is even supposed to be installed. I don't wanna bog this Thread down with a Toolset Topic though, Tayo's the central focus.) She's important to me, because she's my Top Mage Character of my team, & she deserves better than 2nd rate Hair. If I can ever figure out &/or get help with getting Mod Hair or my own Hair Creation onto her, then I can Resurrect her & (hopefully) complete her at the same time. Then the unfinished Prototype that's Uploaded onto this Site won't be needed anymore.
Unfinished Prototype Tayo Surana:

Pretty, cute, young, & pleasant to look at, yet not supermodel.
My design plan for her is that I want her to be a spunky, spirited tomboy that has been double-whammied by both racial & class prejudice, & thus this has made her unsociable, pessimistic, Chantry-hateful, & Templar-hateful, yet at the same time, she has a 'Never say die!' attitude & is no quitter. She's not Temperamental, Hot-headed, Hot-blooded, or short-fused, but she's not immune to anger either. (In direct defiance of her Red-Headedness.)
(WARNING!!! Incoming optional info ranting & raving!)
She's lone-wolfish, but tries to handle teamwork when forced to. Never getting much happiness in her life, not getting to grow up in a normal happy family life, frequently being force-fed double-whammy strength discrimination & hate, never having any friends she could trust (if any at all, period, depending on what options the game gives me) or rely on, & not being able to get along too well with even her own fellow magic-users has made her understandably individualistic, selfish, stress-ridden, (especially from putting on her false persona of obedience to her superiors that can trash her at this time) & as earlier noted, pessimistic, especially toward humans. She likes animals, pretty lights, Lightning, & Wind. Her list of dislikes would be too long for this Post.
(End of ranting & raving.)
Take note of how her Hairstyle singlehandedly breaks this desired Image of her. It makes her look formal & by-the-bookish. She needs a Tomboy short Hairstyle that shows her ears off proudly, & maybe optionally, looks semi-wild to display a Tomboy kinda person that isn't formal or sternly rule-abiding. It'll be a bonus if there's a Hairstyle that does this & could look informal/half-wild while still looking female & good-looking. This 'stand-in' Hairstyle is the closest match out of the Default Hairstyles, but it still comes up way short, & the other one that is short & ear-showing (that I remember the existence of) not only also looks too formal, but also outright looks Male.
I've tried to handle this myself for months, but I give up at success without Mod assistance. & I need backup at learning how to handle Mods. I've read about them for Months, but actually trying to use them myself is a whole nother story.
I hope I didn't yak too much in this Post. But surely this is the right place to find people that understand getting VERY attached to our Characters & wanting to give them loads of attention.

@ Tyrax Hmm from that description this is the hairstyle that comes to mind that may be able to suffice, just a passing thought though.

I'll welcome that Toolset PM once I figure out how to operate the Program, & this Module stuff & such i'm researching on the DA Builder Wiki. To my lack of surprise, it's making my head hurt, but i'm working on it.
I Downloaded the Toolset from the BioWare Social Site. It has the EclipseRay10 Download Link directly below the Toolset Download Link on the same Tab as it. Hmm... If some Mods are used by simply placing them into a certain Folder, I wonder if EclipseRay10 is the same...?
AvatarHunter: That Hairstyle looks good! That's not quite how I want Tayo, but it's on the right track!
I need to mosey on over to the Nexus, am I remembering right on that being the Mods's location? Dang my freaking memory. Oh, & do I have to have a Nexus Account to Download Mods, or just for Uploading to it as a Creator?

Your wip female elf doesn't look "young" to me. With the right skin texture, she looks a lot like Wynne. Elderly person facial structure.
Right now... she looks like a "senior enchanter", mother of 3.
Bioware's elven female facial skin has that effect, so you need to really tailor the facial structure to counter it: Eyes larger, nose longer, jaw narrower. And not so much blank space floating around under the nose.
AvatarHunter's elf is a good example.

@Caladhiel: honest and strongminded opinion, respect that. Though don't really know what you talk about, you can't judge anything from a screenshot like that, you have to see the big picture.
I guess you are referring to the comment about Wyldsong's girl's scalp tattoo? I know, I already said my opinion was probably based on the poor lighting - that was exactly the problem, because in the dark it sort of looked blurry and more like sore skin than a tattoo.^^ Problem is, if I only have the screenshot to comment on, what else should I do? Heavens, I didn't mean to offend anyone...

I personally wasn't offended, so no worries on my partB)
I can respect the opinion, and I'll try and drop some screenies of it in game later.

AvatarHunter: More superb work! No tweak needs here.
I'm especially eyeballing your Elf, since I now know that Tayo needs more shine & polish. I admit, she was my 3rd Character I built, & is months old.
I need some backup here:
http://thenexusforum...howtopic=209300
Something's wrong with my new Registration there. It's working on the Nexus Forums, but not on the File Download area, which I need to get me some Hair. (I also found Pineappletree's stuff & am eyeballing those too! I've seen the results from that Mod here on this Site & I like it!

I was wondering if there was any way I could improve on her. I used Leliana preset face (dragonagenexus.com/downloads/file.php) and tweaked it from there!

And the tat on Mer is from Wolpack's Face tats, right?
@Tyrax - Did you get the downloads to work? Bidelle's is a good one, and there are a TON of good mods I could recommend. A lot of them use chargenmorph files, so make sure you know how to work with those. If you need any help, let me know.
