@Daten You know you can never have too many cutie elves running about. I like how you approached that design; pinchable cheeks and full lips, very feminine.

@Tyrax well Solona is definitely unique to say the least, has alot going on in the face there. I take it that there's a method to your madness though, very interesting.

I've been playing around with a few ideas presently but for now I'm just gonna throw out my interpretation on Morrigan, Sten, and Alistair.

Morrigan - Maybe change lip color balance well with the new eyeshadow?

Sten - I like it a lot. The scar just seems like something he should have had before.

Alistiar - Al is the one I never seem to be able to morph. His features just seem to me to just be 'him'. That said, I really do like the Roman hair on him. Somehow, with the Templar/Chantry connection and his face it just somehow seems to fit. I'd probably give it a go and see if I could get use to it.

mochen: D: if it's any consolation, I've had a new PC set up (for DA) for several days now, but I can only play a couple of kinda crappy Orlesians until I get internet for the PC. *comfort-pat on back*

Aaaah, dwarves! I'm a huuuuge dwarf-lover and those 2.... woah! Mister Paragon is cool, even tho I would liek to see him in a beard... but I don't think there's a beard in the game right now that would fit him
But daaaaaamn, Astyth the Grey! Her eyes look a little soul-less... they look so painted on with no depth. But the rest? Oh my She looks best in huge armors too (like that starter one)

Morrigan - hmm. With less lipstick? OMG yes!
Sten - Aaah, he looks so stupid when he talks xD Am I the only one who thinks that? ;P His animation is just.. odd. Anyway! I like him Not much else to say O:
Alistair - GREAT! Best ali morph I've seen I think O: Maybe it's just the shot but maybe he's looking a bit too old/hardened? Just a though...

I understand why people like your elves Aside from the soulless eyes (they lack depth, imho... which is 'cause of the texture, not your shape or anything) that elf is very cute. I wouldn't use as much lipstick since I'm generally very anti-makeup... but it fits her

Well, mostly working on my NPC-mod when I give Dragon Age some time (I have a job now as many of you guys know ^^) and doesn't make any personal characters atm. When I'm done with the NPCs tho I am going to play throught the game with a "perfect" character in my perfectly modded game xD. Meaning I will spend alot of time brainstorming and trying out different looks. Seems like it will be a dalish elf but I'm thinking about a dwarf too... (humans bore me). We'll see! It's quite a while until I'm finished with my mod anyway.

LOVING Reinhold! Frankly I like your males more than your females (even tho your female designs are very good too!). Your males just tend to have something.. special about them all

Hmm, tricky and awesome question there. Interesting answers too...
I think I check the overall look first, se if anything stands out and why it does so. Something can stand out in a good way, or a bad way... then I check the colors and the specific features. And of course I try to see what the creator actually wanted to make.

The light on that first pic doesn't do Keiko justice at all
In the second it's impossible to see her features... and the horrible "clothes" that Morrigan has makes me shrug Your char definitely looks pretty tho

The Cousland's hair throws me off a bit. the color I mean. And that lipstick color doesn't go too well with her skin either. Looks like a solid shape tho. More pics?

@ VirusCat: Well, I'm glad you're back Haha, I just imagined Shianni saying that about the random noble guy. As for Ashalle, she definitely looks better in your version. Turning the corners of her mouth down was a very good idea. It also looks like maybe you added some squint to her eyes - if so, also an excellent touch. I think even if all she talked about were rainbows and kitty-cats, I'd still prefer your version

@WolfheartHU Thank you. I tend to give all my characters a confident appearance they're supposed to all be natural leaders or infantry commanders even the pretty ones have to have the air of assurance and cool headedness.



@Mochen Much appreciated, your designs are always a joy to look at you have a very strong style. I think elves are difficult too it took me forever to get one that I was happy with. Sucks your computer got toasted that's always the worse feeling, when your computer dies on you like that you sorta turn to it and say 'Et tu Brute?'



@Datenshi92 Arwen looks great, I'd suggest drawing the chin up a bit more and evening out the jawline. That's just my personal preference I'm not a huge fan of really angular sharp faces which elves tend to suffer from, but other than that she's a really strong well done design.



@AvatarHunter Sten and Morrigan look great but I'm of the opinion that Alistair's original design can't really be topped Bioware just knocked it out of the park on that one. The only stuff that I think really works might be evening out his stubble or taking away a few lines on his face but other than that he's pretty much impossible to outdo.



@VirusCat Yeah Ama has about a 0.20 underbite I think it suits the design and the VO set for her, a sultry mage with pouty lips and dark eyes. As far as eye textures go I like Dracomies textures and the vanilla ones as well. In general though I tend to like the darker colours better, the brown, amber, green and hazel ones look really nice. The blue ones have been updated but they can still appear really washed out in extreme lighting like the really orange and washed out keep interior. But that's DA's lighting system for ya.

I'm liking your Morrigan Remake! I've met the native version Morrigan for the 1st time in-game & am digging her looks too! Your Morrigan Remake looks like Morrigan a few years older & more matured up.

Sten's similar, your Remake looks like a years older Sten with new power he didn't have before.

The Alistair Remake, yet again, looks like an older, more experienced Alistair. Perhaps he's gonna be more mature this time around? (I'm still smirking to myself from my very 1st meeting with Alistair Salona got to experience last night. *snicker* That was well done.)

My method behind Salona's madness, is that long ago, she was inspired by the 'Ugliest Character Contest' Thread, (I love that Thread.) & it inspired me to try my hand at creating a Character that would strive to be horrifically ugly without any ugly anatomy, just to see if I could. (Anyone can oversize a Nose. ) I imagined her as a beautiful young woman intentionally giving herself 'Horror Makeup' on purpose just to be wildly, rebelliously different, & to dare people to see her inner beauty through her ghastly face. After I made her, I got attached to her, & she got promoted to future Played Character. Look at her now! She's even become my Vanguard Alpha! 1st into the fray, Warrior Style!

Your 'Worried Elder Elf' look is a strong improvement. I must agree that making a 'worried elf' that's smiling by default doesn't make any sense. That's like looking at a screaming temper tantrum little 2 year old rugrat & calling that kid 'cute'.

I wish ya luck in examining Tayo. She's spanning a fair few Pages. & i'm loving all this Salona Praise!

WolfheartHU: He looks cool! Yet he looks like he's holding 1/2 a Ham in his Mouth. Perhaps some of the aspects of the Cheeks need tweaking. Or, ask your Character to spit out the Ham. (I jest. )

WolfHeart: I could care less if someone likes my work or not, but it's still nice to hear comments on it. besides, popularity is a dirty bi-ch and should f--- off anyway. I've had f--- horrible luck with morphs, and I only have problems with vanilla Sigrun's proportions. plus I'm a guy, so you have to be kinda blunt. not to be stereotypical, but we don't always pick up on the subtle sh-- ha.

The Toolset seems to choke on Mod Hair. You can still get the idea of what I was going for, a sweetheart trapped in a freakish horror body. There's no point on trying to make a good looking Character until I can figure out how to master the Toolset Controls. Hopefully, i'll eventually be able to make lookers.
