@Loc_N_lol I like them all but Lydiel stands out to me she looks perfect for a city elf rogue, I don't really like face tattoos but that's my problem not the design's.

@Mochen New stuff from you, count me in the group that are eagerly looking forward to it! Also I agree the work on this thread is amazing it's super interesting to see so many strong and unique styles.

@Tyrax Lightning Glad I could make it happen for ya, Ghoulia might make me a bit queasy looking at her since I mean she is a monster, however that was the intent so mission accomplished? :D

@Schratty Crevan might not win any beauty contest but he's no Ghoulia I can't really tell if that's a good or a bad thing anymore. . . :?

I think I'll post of few shots of the latest version of my archer Riona Cousland, I made a few adjustments to her recently she's similar to another design I've done dispite being made from scratch. However both are Couslands so I don't feel so bad about it.

The lighting for Castle Cousland is a bit intense but I don't feel it washes out her face since, there isn't a lot of make-up on the design to begin with. This is version 4 of Riona the changes were minor but I think she's looks better now.

All righty. Made some tweaks. This is the second version.

I think I need to make some textures and toolset-addons to make it easier for everyone to make better dwarves..because this is just not cutting it..

@ Tyrax Lightning: Don't get me wrong, I think Ghoulia is a GREAT design in her own right :D Also, thanks for posting her character page link, I definitely got a better look at her. Good stuff!

@ sailorsaturnz: I think your mage is quite striking! I like her bald, but I also like the bob as well. VirusCat makes a very valid point by saying that many of the other characters use a well-placed scar or tattoo to give the design that extra "zazz".

@ VirusCat: I think I get what you're saying. I'll play around with different textures and see what I can do - thanks for the input :) As for Xiang, her cheek bones are the only part of the design that seem off. My personal opinion is to either raise her cheek bones a smidge or lower the intensity of her blush. In fact, I think the blush is what's causing her structure to look a bit off. Just a suggestion :P

@ neppakyo: That's a pretty intense color palette you've chosen. My only suggestion thus far is maybe including a picture of her with a different hairstyle that shows off more of her face in conjunction with the one you've already posted :)

@ adneate: A solid design, for sure. It may just be the lighting, but perhaps darker eyebrows? It's kind of hard to tell.

@ Petehog: Dwarf looks good. I wish there was some way to stop the toolset from resetting jaw settings when you apply a beard to the face. It's especially irksome when all you want to add are the sideburns.

Joe? Is that you? As mentioned to Petehog, if only adding sideburns didn't screw up half of the face morph :/

@Virus - Glad you like the shots from the Proving.  Honestly, out of every screenie I have taken, those truly are my fav.  Actually, out of every character I have made, he is probably one of my favorites (though just not my most downloaded).  FYI -  Xiang is looking good.  Definitely a unique look there.  Luv it=)

@Tyrax - Man oh man...if she romances anyone, get some screen shots of the mak out sessions.  Morbidly curious minds want to see=P

@Pete - I agree that a lot of the base textures don't do dwarves justice, at least not how I envision dwarves.  Making Rastan took me a few different mods to get the look right for what I felt a dwarf should look like, and personally, I am quite proud of him, and feel he represents what I think they should be like fairly well.  Whether the community at large feels that...well, I can't begin to say, but I do agree, DA dwarves need help in a big way.  Unfortunately my exceedingly minor skills won't fix any of those issues.  If you can create a good set of textures, then I say rock on with it.

@Schratty Thanks and good catch the eyebrows are dbr tint at about 0.65 I jumped them up to about 0.75 and I think it looks better that way helps protect against intense lighting.

@ Schratty - Crevan is very interesting. I think the sort of scarring effect around his mouth is cool. It made me think that the warden scar mod (or whatever it's called) the one that has the dragony scar around the left eye, might look really cool on him?

@ Neppakyo - I like your elf. She definitely has an earthy feel. Maybe choose a slightly smaller hairstyle to show off her lovely face more.

@ VirusCat - I must say I really like Xiang. Super cute! The overall face is very well done and she has a certain uniqueness. The only thing that doesn't convince me is her nose. It just seems a little small and thin compared to her wide cheekbones?

@ adneate - Riona is sweet! Her face is very small and petite, and her features are spaced relatively wide. I think it works though and gives her a certain cuteness :)

@ Petehog - Dwarf version 2 is an improvement. It's very hard to suggest anything on him really. Excellent stuff!

Another one of my characters. Like most of them I can't really tweak her again because she was made via ingame character creator. I extracted the .mor file from a savegame and changed the eye and skin texture.

Her nose is a bit too small, her lips a mite too wide, her chin maybe a bit to long, her ears too big and protruding.

adneate: Many thanks for the aid! I'll see if I can get a Pic of Ghoulia kissing someone, just for you! :P ;)

Riona's adorable! She looks lively, spunky, spirited, & upbeat! She's ready to go in all respects!

Petehog: He's looking badass as usual. The Stubble mighta been a good idea, maybe it'll hide or partially hide the stupid Beard problem.

Schratty: I'm loving this praise! Many thanks! :D

Your Character is getting along just fine. I can see the resemblance. Since the stupid Sideburns won't cooperate, maybe your Character could be a younger incarnation of that Comparison Pic Guy. (That I don't know who that is...)

Wyldsong: You got it! Now that I think of it, as far as I know, we never got those Ugra Romance Pics we wanted. Maybe Ghoulia can succeed where Ugra failed! :)

klarabella: She's alright. She can serve as a 'pretty but realistically imperfect'. ('Realistically imperfect' is Tyrax for didn't get it quite on the bulls-eye, but it's close enough to still technically look 'good'. Kinda like the BioWare Morrigan who's generally hot, but many don't like her extra-poofy Lower Lip. So Morrigan's 'realistically imperfect'.) I think your Character is just fine for playing. :)

neppakyo: Still lookin good! Perhaps in addition to that shot, a frontal Screenshot would be good too.

drewj1988: Theron looks like one of those big tough guys with a likable, charismatic personality. I like him!

I think it may be worth a try for you to put Sangaril's Face 2 thinner Lips onto the Face 1 design, & you might just have her done.

drewj: on Theron's cheeks - if you drew a line from his temples along the side of his face, you'd end up with a "d" shape on the left / "b" shape on the right. I'm no proportional expert, but even guy's faces are basically straight lines on the side of the face. there's probably a slight curve in some guy's but yours is a bit extreme.

petehog: much better on the legionnaire. random side note, does anyone else love the LotD?

@ drewj1988: I actually prefer Sangaril v3 face 2. Then again, I suppose it depends on what kind of a look you're going for. Face 2 seems more like a natural beauty - if not a little battle hardened. Face 1 looks more delicate - mainly because of the make-up and the smoother skin complexion.

@ Tyrax Lightning: Haha, okay, I fixed him *sheepish grin*... with Photoshop.... :D But, since I can't recreate the exact hairstyle in DA, the main point is getting the facial structure really close. But, I definitely will play around with his complexion and see if a more youthful appearance doesn't strike my fancy :)

I also changed the color balance to better reflect his color palette. Unfortunately, while the Korcari Wilds has some of the best pc shots, it also has some of the worst lighting.

Sorry for not commenting atm, I'm in the middle of finishing up my Dwarf Commoner Origin NPC Remake (puh) and just had to share a pic i snapped while testing my remakes out...

Meet....

The scared Warden-to-be - Skadi.

Posted Image

It isn't supposed to look like this, right? It's SCARY!
I almost fell off my chair when the camera switched to this angle the first time, and I had to brace myself to screencap it the next two times it happened xD

Edit:
Here's a normal pic to counter that scary one >-<

Will be back to comment on folk's pics when I'm doen with the Remake.

@Schratty Sangaril will be a mage, (I just made a Noble because of the lighting, to avoid the Fade) but I see where your going with it Face 2 for Ranger face 1 for Mage imo. Thanks for your comment :)

@Virus - Skadi looks to be coming along nicely, but that scared pic had me rolling...wow, just wow. Just a thought to play around with, unless she is not already considered to be battle hardened or tested for your vision, but personally, I think it would be good to see her with a light scar or two, like the Warden Scar from the bandit pack. Just a thought.

Yeah she could use a little "hardening". I'll try around a bit after my NPC mod is finished or something.

dwarfcat: AHHHHHHHHHHH!!! now I need to bleach my brain...lol.

I also agree with Wyldsong. a soft scar or such would be interesting to at least see and test.

also, from last page, Oblivion Dark Elves only have bloodshot red eyes as a constant. I think it's typical of drows and dark elves from other games / franchises to have white hair. I'll still try it out though :3

@VirusCat: ROFL I love your dwarf. xD

Well, here's my first city elf that I made. It took me days to try and figure out how to make her. I wanted to make her look around 16-17ish years-old. I think it turned out right I suppose. I would like to hear your thoughts:

@Mochen Thank you! You picked up immediatly on why I liked Riona's design in the end she looks much nicer and sweeter than my warrior Cousland.

@Klarabella You made her in the Character creator? If I understood that correctly then I'm amazed I didn't think the character creator could make an elf that even remotely looked good.

@drewj1988 Sangaril is coming along really well she keeps looking better every time.

@Tyrax Lightning Thanks I think . . .

@Virus Cat That is really werid looking, aren't the eyes supposed to be obscured by shadows like with the Templar helm? Then again I've seen a similar effect with Loghain's landsmeet troops they all have these strange blood shot eyeballs floating at odd angles in their helms. Skadi looks fantastic regardless.

@Oblivionator435 Yeah I'm just gonna say it Katrielle's eyes are way, way, way too big. The rest of her face looks just fine but her eyes drag the entire design down, they're too big and she's wearing too much makeup around them. I understand that in the CC elves have really small pinhole eyes and once you get into the toolset you want to eradicate that feature all together but you've gone too far, the design would be greatly improved if the eyes and eye makeup were reduced to values below 0.50.
