@ drewj1988: Faren is a nice design. It isn't oftent that you see a fresh-faced young dwarven male :) I like Lyna too, but for some reason she looks a little flat. Maybe adjust her skin a bit? Just a suggestion.

@ Zeleen: Hmm, she looks like Kaitlyn from Redcliffe, but that's not a bad thing ;) However, her jaw looks a little too large and masculine for my tastes. Other than that, very pretty!

Okay, up next we have Liam...or Vaughn...I haven't decided. What do you guys think I should call him? Anyways, I was going for a kind of smart alec thief, but with a heart of gold - or whatever :P

Thanks for everyones comments

@Schratty can i ask what textures you use for your faces, for some reason they tend to look pretty good. I do agree with you that Lyna is kind of 'flat' looking in most light.

 Giggidy!

@Ladyaly - I'm loving Daireen! I usually have problems with that hair style, but she looks so gorgeous with it! :D

So i've been tinkering with my human noble, Moira. She seemed really cute and innocent before, but I was thinking about adding more of a feminine edge:

@ Zeleen: Very nice for a pure CC char.  I'm terrible at making females in the CC.  I agree with Schratty on the jaw line, but other than that she's very pretty.

@Schratty: He looks good!  Perhaps a little "toothy," but sharp overall.  The cheek scar is an interesting touch (do you have a story idea behind it?).  BTW, I wouldn't name him Vaughn. Arl Urien's son kind of dragged that one through the mud

Updating my HN, I tried a different skin blend to "rough" him up a bit.  (r-click/view for full size)
Posted Image

I also upped his wrinkles a bit.  They're just not very apparent in cool lighting. I'm using Drac's textures, (elfanobags as the base) so everything is kind of smoothed out.  I love that skin though, I can't help it!  :D

All righty, here's another picture of female body art.

I won't post it directly as it may not be appropriate for this forum...but it is here:

http://www.dragonage...-1276837591.jpg

It's my latest project in development. It's actually proving to be much more difficult than I thought it was going to be.

The image is PG-13.

Schratty, I dig it quite a bit. Has a very roguish vibe to the character. Vaughn could work because one of it's meanings is little one, which could work in the youngest brother, 'smallest' Cousland kind of deal. I like to name my characters with actual Gaelic/Irish names that link their archtypes/personalities. Liam is much more of a Warriors name.

Axe, that hairstyle has been odd of late. I've never liked it on a character design without going the full-on 'barbarian' look, but your character is one of three (I believe) that's been posted in the last page or two with it that really looks nice. I'm on a 'Cousland should look like a Cousland' kick, so it's very nice to see someone who says screw it, I'm just making a cool human.

Petehog: looks good. do you have a design that would work well on the leathers? like a low thigh, or neck / shoulder / high chest etc, type of tat? (and have them work under the armor, obviously). I'm thinking, because normally they'd only been seen on nude characters, or on very revealing outfits, why not tailor a couple to vanilla armor?

@yasuraka.hakkyou

I'm starting to realize a couple problems.

First off, any design I do is dependent on the particular body mod. In other words, if someone else has a different body mod, it won't quite work.

I could definitely make the tattoo work on your avatar if you let me know which body mod you are using and the armor type. And of course..the type of tattoo you want.

The other problem I'm running into is that the changes are universal. In other words, I can't seem to make it only affect one woman. It goes on all the women in Ferelden. Perhaps someone may know a work around for this.

@Y.H. Yeah - I complained about - but this sentence scares me
:pinched:
WARNING: This will also change the eyebrows throughout the game
About Daireens Lipstick - I guess its probably the light at the Kocari Wilds which increasing the color. If I look at in normal light it seems much lighter.

@Petehog  - well she is so beautiful cause you helped me a lot with her - Thanks
The Tattoos are stunning - really - I hope you find a way to release it.

@Zeleen I like Katt - really. She is refreshing in this Armor - I would nothing change. Its good to see Mods with a personal touch :)

@Schratty Handsome - Handsome. The only thing I would change, but this is personal taste, the glossy eyes.
It takes a bit of his manly appearance away - looks like he would cry soonish.:P
And yes - I can't bring the Toolset to run - it drives me crazy - and I will give it a last try. Caladhiel was send a direction for me before I was going to vacation - so, yes a last try - before I finally give up. I'm a stubborn mule ;)

@sailorsaturnz THANKS :) I don't like that hairstyle - but it simple fits her frames best -

For your Cutie - she has freckles ?! Personal I don't like the scar on her face.
For making her more feminine - try to change the childish hairstyle - could do wonders :)but she is cute  - in both pictures

@ Relshar - Thanks!
@ Viruscat - haha so sorry! here is another shot of her with some clothes on :)

I followed Wyldsongs advice and made her hair a shade darker. I have named her Olivia.

And here is my new dwarven warrior, Hargrim

Excellent female design mochen, she looks youthful cute and determined.

But holy crap! I have to echo everyone else here by saying that Hargrim has got to be one of the best characters of ALL TIME!! And definitely the best dwarf ever! That takes some doing.

@VC Wow. Your chasind reminds me of a Shadow Thief. She looks very unique. Good work! and I've done some revision on my  mage's face and well you're right the eye value is too high.

@Schratty Thank you for the screens. She looks absolutely beautiful in the cutscene. Yup I can see your perspective on natural looks. The makeup, the texture, and from your Steffi you made it possible. Nice work on your Liam.. or Vaughn. Whoever would thought to put a dashing rogue with the femme Leliana. Definitely a great couple.

@Petehog Ok my advice don't mess up your elf morphs anymore. They all look great everytime you post them and I like it. Make a new morph even if you want to tweak them haha. Ask for your tattoos its fantastic. I really like the back shoulder tattoo.. quite expose indeed :)

@mochen Thanks. Good work on your tough looking characters as well. I'm still admiring Hargrim's features. One of the best I've seen, and real darkspawn slayer.

@Ladyaly Daireen is always a stunning redhead. I like how you put her in the screens. A rogue you say. When will anyone play a female warrior these days.

Alright here goes. I didn't play any male dwarf walkthrough yet but it cant hurt posting your berserkers. So heres Galmick. He will have the same personality as Bhelen especially hardheaded. I also prefer addin the tattoo so he won't look that noble. After all, berserkers usually scared off their opponents with their appearance.

@ drewj1988: I personally am an unabashed Dracomies True Textures fangirl. I just hope VirusCat doesn't puke on my shoes for saying that :P Haha, anyway, you can achieve a more texturally appealing look without them - as so many on this forum do. If you have the toolset, I would suggest picking out two different skin types (like fema and elfa or whatever) and blending them together. Another possiblity is simply to alter her skintone. I know certain tones translate poorly in game.

@ Swoo: Hmm, a good suggestion. He just looked kind of like a Vaughn to me. As for the name Liam...well, I just really like Liam Neeson :P Definitely leaning more towards Vaughn since I read that, though. Thanks!

@ LadyAly: Aw, thanks! But, I dunno, maybe both he and Alistair are always only minutes away from a waaamulance ride. He could just be really senitive; blubbering to Leliana all the time about his murdered parents and about how being a Grey Warden is just so hard! ...Nah, I'll definitely look into changing his eyes :)

On a sadder note, I'm sorry to hear about the toolset. I definitely think it's Windows 7! Haha, that's why I refuse to change from XP ;) Well, take heart in knowing that your designs still rock even though you're limited to the CC :)

@ mightmagix: Oh, no, thank you! :P Yes, as per your suggestion, he's going to stop skulking around the Pearl like a degenrate and concentrate his efforts on Leliana :D

Regarding your Galmick, I think you did a wonderful job with his eye/eyebrows. They really set the "tone" of the character. He actually does remind me a bit of Bhelen...maybe it's just the haircolor...and the fact that Galmick looks like he's up to no good :P Excellent job!

@ Petehog: Oh nooz! Buttocks! My innocent eyes! :P It's progressing wonderfully!

Petehog: you mean things like Natural Bodies, tmp's proporpotion fixes and all that? well that's easy, I don't use any of those.

the designs you've been showing have been great, I can't think of much otherwise. hmm, a couple symmetrical and asymmetrical designs each, I suppose. A couple with dragons, wolves, "nature stuff", stuff that would fit into DA well. the "mark of death" looking one on the neck / left shoulder you posted looks sweet (and the fact that you're using my Dalish Rogue's hair really makes me want that tat now :)).

off the top of my head, the universal problem doesn't seem so bad, Ferelden is rather conservative for the most part.
____

Are you making them as skin textures? I would imagine that you're replacing the defaults (due to the universal-ness), but if you can make your own, I'd imagine that would solve it (but I have very little idea of what I'm talking about here). This is also kind of a request to do them as skin texs if you're not already, I think they would make more sense / work out better.

LadyAly: eyebrow mod - it's a single file to download and put in the override, so just make a folder for it, and try it out. if you don't like it, it's just the single file to delete :).

Wow I don't log in for a few days and come back to see all this outstanding work! I haven't seen everything but I skimmed the last few pages and saw alot that I liked, excellent work everyone, really. Since I've been a little busy of late I haven't made much myself but I do have my little city elf Aeryn and my Antivan rouge Teyla that I could post I suppose. Also thanks for displaying tmp's new mod, I was certainly not aware of it, suberb work tmp!

@ Scratty - What a handsome chap! I really like that design. He looks very noble but with a free spirit.

@ mightmagix - Very Bhelen-esque. Probably the beard that makes it seem that way. He looks awesome nonetheless. And cool screenshot!

@ meathook - Thank you! Thats a lovely compliment.

@ AvatarHunter - More solid designs from you. Teyla is my favorite of the two. She looks cheeky and has a reseblence to someone I know. Great stuff.

@LadyAl I have Windows 7 as well but I can get the toolset to run perfectly, have you tried modifying the toolset executable to request being run as an administrator every time you launch it, that was an issue when I first got it.

@ axekix: Sorry I missed you in my previous post. Allow me to remedy that now :D Thank you for your comment on Vaughn - yes, I'm sorry, I went with Vaughn :( Haha...I mean, he's kind of a [insert word that begins with a "d" and rhymes with "pick"], but not in a rape your cousin kind of way...more like a tells-you-he-loves-you-then-doesn't-answer-any-of-your-phone-calls way :P His scar? Well, I don't really have a background, so much as a mathematical formula:
Men + Scars = Hawt ;)

As for your noble, it's a subtle change, but it does wonders. Some characters just look better with a less-than-perfect complexion :) And, as before, he is a wonderful design!

@ AvatarHunter: I was wondering where you'd gone, and now you're back with some excellent designs :D I like both morphs, but I agree wtih Mochen, Teyla is especially stunning.

@ Mochen: What a smexy elf man! I will say, Y.H. has a good suggestion about the eyes, but everything else about him is marvelous. If I could make males even half as hot as you do, I would be a happy girl :P

@AvatarHunter  Aye - I will just make a big DOT - Teyla is awesome and unique - great work
@mochen - Sexy Elf Archer with some mischief in his eyes - :P very perfect as mostly dear !

@adnaete - I run always as Admin - that isn't the reason- its the SQL Thing. My Windows 7 wont install fully this. SO no possibility to run the Toolset..*sigh* - and I'm tired of wasting hours and hours again

But I made a new Cousland - Its like a little drug - always I like to make another Char - so evilness -

LadyAly: have you made sure that there are firewall exceptions for the toolset, that sorta thing? Helena's eyebrows seem extreme (the first few shots are natural faces, right?).
