ladyaly: thank you :) hmm, a hair conflict. :P cool, I stumbled upon German lore w/o even knowing :)
mightmagix: thank you :)
caladhiel: thankies :) yeah, as cool as the jaheira hair is, I've kinda found that the unfinished-ness of it bugs me.

petehog: I just installed your latest Redesigned, and while I very much just picked and choosed, the designs I am using are great. :)

Damn you guys are just nuking this thread <3 I love that it became so popular and it's definitely going the right way. Peeps are throwing constructive critisism at each other, praising each other and speaks their opinion. And it actually works well!

It has also made me reconsider my past refusal to reinstall the toolset. It may take time, but I find myself sitting here either mashing the F5-key or just hopping around on different sites when I don't have the energy to play something. I may aswell use that time to make characters. At least that's creative ;P I have a couple of different things I want to try so expect alot of different work from me! Don't expect them to be work of a master tho, I'm feeling I lost a bit of the spark when my last chars was lost.
We'll see!

Let's get onto the commenting then! Ready hands? Here we go!

@mightmagix
Gilmore! Much more mature and with a much less bulky face. Mmm <3
Hmmm, Alistair. He does fit the role as the inexperienced whiny young man but he's not really my type.
And woah, thanks alot. I don't know if I can make more elves like them tho... sorta aving a self-doubt time here :P

@LadyAly
Bah, you can have him then :(

@Ryzaki
I can't say I see your description in him, but hes a well-modeled character.

@Scalett Dragonavicious
It's actually better than some toolset-chars I've seen. Very, very nice actually. She definitely fit her role in the game :)

@Telemachos004
I think you're in the wrog thread. There is another one for gory and bloody pics ;P This is for showing of a characters face, not post killscreens with a fully armored man.

@Tattercloak
V.5 of the dalish male is utterly awesome. Keep that one!
The human's chin looks a tad bit long now, but otherwise a huge improvement, even if it was a small one :D
The City Elf, huge improvement in V.6! I would maybe give her some eyeshadow or less of the eye liner, it makes her eyes look a bit too cartoonish. Her mouth seems a little odd too, very... uh.. tense? Like she's clenching her teeth and her lips together. Maybe help her relaxe just a little? :D
No worries about the many pics, it fun to see the changes and read about the things the creator thought about and such :D

@Stippling
That's my fav char of yours! He has such a cool and unique face O: I don't know what to say other than: Amazing. Or, well, the hair texture could be better but the style of it fits him <3

@Tor_pedo
Barbie-fied! :D Sorry ;P She's cute indeed.

@yasuraka.hakkyou
Aaaah! So stunning! <3 That intense look and the hair and the face and wiiiieeee.

@PanosSmirnakos
As far as I can see, from the crappy pics, he looks like an ordinary man that really fits into the game. Nice. I don't really like the red lips tho.

@Extra Letters
She looks so sweeeeet :D That mashed up hairstyle would be perfect on her O: I think you should really go with that pigtail one that tmp7704 linked!
Yeah, the not-able-to-handle-thing seems pretty obvious really. But I had a thing in my mind that it COULD read all the sliders and make a base of the morph. Ohwell. I always tweak things anyway and a morph is the way to go for me ^^

@Petehog
I can't stand those hairstyles sadly. Otherwise she looks interesting :)

@massrock
Is that a noble? Looks much more like a commoner in that pic :P

@tmp7704
"the drawback is, by default it overrides the stock pigtails hairstyle" Oh JOY! I will get it immediately ^^

@Presence
Beard, you call that a beard? NOOOES, his chin is cleanshaved ffs! :P
Odd texture, sadly. Would have looked rad otherwise.

:blink: I don't think I've ever heard you (well, seen :P) say that kind of statement :D. thankies :)

we do sometimes lose (or just misplace lol) the creative spark, but it'll come back :).

@VirusCat Glad you approved Gilmore. My Alistair however is temporary. He only blends in during Denerim and Orzammar events. Truthfully I'm waiting for the real redesigned from Petehog. But thank you and as I said I'm terrible with elves. So bring up the toolset and make sumore. :)

@LadyAly or anyone who is willing to provide feedback

Ok, I'm working on a new version of Alistair. I'm not exactly sure which version to release. Which version would you recommend? Or does the original still win.

(the image is showing up very tiny on this forum. I'm not sure how to make it bigger..but yeah..here it is.)

Release them all in installer-format, as you did with Oghren ;P I will def use the Version A Light :lol:

@mightmagix
Nice! You make both the hair and the robe work, even tho I'm still bummed that it's just pitchblack instead of properly textured ;P Nice one, and really good screens!

@Petehog Alright. I don't mind the installer-format myself. But if its a vote i'll go for Version A Original Skin.

@VirusCat Yup the black texture is just too black. But I'm on my way commenting the modder for fixes. Its a great mod which I endorse.

second this on mightmagix ( besides I can't stand the Barbie style hair )

and @Petehog - yes  - like Oghren but I would probably use Version B Original skin

@mightmagix I tried finding a character that I could attach that hairstyle to but to no avail as it always seemed to clutter my intended design. For your spirit healer though, it just works (at least, in my opinion). It's probably also because it goes well with that robe (that's the new Tevinter battle robe, right?).

@Petehog I personally like the way that Version A (original skin) looks but VirusCat is right, you might as well go with the installer approach that you used for the other companions unless it's too much of a hassle, heh. As for your pic being shrunk, I think the forum automatically does that so your best bet is probably to wrap a url tag around the image and have it link to the image as well.

@VirusCat I finally got home today after waking up way too early for my liking so I'll try fiddling around with the city elf rogue's eyes a bit (the eyeshadow). It's currently set at grey (30%) so I'll just up it a bit and see how it looks. Relaxing the mouth should be easy enough so I'll give that a shot too. I might as well try playing around with the brow setting (as a few suggested earlier this morning) but I'm not holding out much hope on that front.

See! Three different wishes already! Installer is a must now! :D

@Tattercloak
Will be interesting to see :)

Btw, got the toolset downloaded after 6 tries. Now I can't start it due to the database not installing properly (I think) *facedesks*

Oh, and it's slightly off-topic but I'll give you an example of what I mean, Petehog (I hope this works).

Image IPB

Edit: Good, it appears to be working. The forum will still shrink your image down but at least it's slightly more convenient to see the full-sized image.

A good idea from the community. We have our own tastes. If its a shortcut go for installer. At last Alistair show off.:D

@Tattercloak Yup the new Tevinter Battle Robe. I hope the black texture will lighten up eventually.

and@LadyAly Thanks!

Got a pat for me, too? I've got exactly the same problem as VirusCat, and absolutely no clue on how to fix it. <_<

On the other hand, I don't really miss the toolset since I've never used it. But then again I see all these wonderful pics, and I get so damn curious. Toolset - just imagine the possibilities!! *swoon*

And now it work for no apparent reason at all. I hate this damn program!

Cala, I'll PM you in a while to describe the things I did to apparently make it work. It was about 15 failurtes, and now it just started. Gosh how I hate it with all my heart :P And also love it... ohwell. Charactercreation here I come.

Back to topic now shall we? :P

All righty, the redesigned Alistair is up.

http://www.dragonage...oad.php?id=5635

If you are experiencing "clear eye" or "odd cornea issues", you would need to get Dracomies True Textures for it to work properly.

For these of you who have trouble installing the database with Toolset, there's a page on builder wiki which troubleshoots that... maybe can be of some help.

Thanks for the link, Petehog.  I'm not sure which one the version packaged with 6.9 Aesthetic corresponds to but that's the one that I'm currently using.

I got around to tweaking the city elf rogue and realised that my version numbers must have de-synchronized at some point but nonetheless, I'll call it version 7.

Image IPB

The key changes here were a darker eye colour, narrower mouth (relaxed a bit), thicker lips (to convey that the mouth is a bit more relaxed), reduced cheek width (again, to help convey that the muscles that would tense to grimace have relaxed somewhat), reduced jaw width (to line up with her neck a bit better), changed lip colour (personal preference), lowered eyes, lowered eyebrows (but not brow), changed lashes texture (slightly-lower lash density), went back to the female skin for blending purposes (hopefully reducing the eyeliner effect a bit), changed eyeshadow to a lighter shade of grey and cranked it up 40%.

My only concern with the alterations to the eyebrow and mouth is that her expression seems to have shifted from grim determination (perhaps a bit too grim) to mild concern.  I'm not entirely sure what to tweak without straying too far back to version 6.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

It's horrible and nothing I did from there worked :P But thanks anyway. Maybe it can help someone else. *hopes*

@Tattercloak
Very true about the expressionchange. Hmm. The mouth is a bit too far down. The gap between the nose and mouth is a bit too long... and after that maybe nudge her eyebrows a tad bit up again?:blush:

@mightmagix:

Love the face, but I despise the hair. That's a me thing though: I'm probably in the minority for hating that hairstyle on anyone.
