I'm missing one crystal to activate whatever that small area is towards the end. The only place I can think of where it might be is in a locked chest in that same room which I can't gain access to. I went all the way back to the beginning to see if I missed something and I don't think I did. Any ideas? Also, what the heck happens when you activate that last area (insert the last crystal)?

IIRC, you get some special abilities in your menu. For the life of me I can't remember what they are right now though.

Well, I guess I missed out on the special powers. I must have had at least a couple of them but never noticed it. Oh well...I already completed the quest.

That sad part about Awakenings is that they have all these wonderful, extras and equipment, and you don't need them. I don't even think I upgraded my armor during one playthrough. I didn't need to (I imported a character from DA:O). I never runecraft; I don't make the special weapons, just don't need them to finish the game. Sad, that.
