Yeah what the hell is Leliana's accent supposed to be? French or something?
I suppose so, all of the Orleasians (sp?) have that kind of vague French accent

Her accent *is* French. The actress is Parisian, and has lived in London for a number of years. She is speaking in her natural voice. I think the only Orlesian character in the game not speaking with their natural French accent is Arlessa Isolde.SasugaRIVAL wrote...

As in the French city of Orleans. As in the naming is meant to give you a slight insight into a fantasy culture by comparing it lightly to an actual one. Robert E Howard and many other Fantasy writers use/used this technique in a fashion so that it would not alienate the reader from a clearly alien culture.

Wow, I think of myself as quite intelligent and well-read but I didn't notice that.
Not bad, Exodus and thanks for the info!

Shale's voice and personality are, gladly, much different than I expected. Very amusing.

I've thought multiple times that Leliana's voice constantly borders that of a French woman or that of a child with a lisp.

In my opinion though Leliana or Alistair are the most interesting story wise.

When Shale says "Do these crystals make me look wider?" I lost it. Honestly he's a mean spirited, appearance conscious, perpetually bored, giant stone death machine The voice actor was spot on, he fits the characters attitude perfectly.

The funniest convos are Wynne and Oghren... I almost broke my spleen when he hits on her.
How about Zevran constanting steering every conversation he has with Wynne to her breasts
