I just wanted to comment, I have finished the daelsih elves and redlcliffe chain and literally spent three hours having a drink and enjoying the conversations in camp.  It's an absolute joy to interact in a game with characters with such complexity capable of eliciting an emotional response from the burgeoning relationship with lyliannia and Allistairs reminisences to Wynnes advice and experiences.  In many ways I typecasted the various characters, as I 'm sure others did, and aside form the arguably predictable twists that each charachter had, it was the humanity and humour in the regular conversations that really was surprising.  I just wanted to post heralding my amazement in the details of characterization and wondering what others thought or their favorite interactions were, cheers!

I suppose so, all of the Orleasians (sp?) have that kind of vague French accent

And the name of their cities are basically french..so it would stand to reason.

Of course, Orleians in the game is basicly france. So Leliana is suppose to be a french girl.

Her accent *is* French. The actress is Parisian, and has lived in London for a number of years. She is speaking in her natural voice. I think the only Orlesian character in the game not speaking with their natural French accent is Arlessa Isolde.

As in the French city of Orleans. As in the naming is meant to give you a slight insight into a fantasy culture by comparing it lightly to an actual one. Robert E Howard and many other Fantasy writers use/used this technique in a fashion so that it would not alienate the reader from a clearly alien culture.

lol yea.. gotta love the conversations between Oghren and Morrigan =D.. though listening to Alistar and Morrigan bicker with each other is funny to.. But.. i think the oddest, and sometimes funniest ones is when your standing somewere with both Leliana and Stan in your party.. those are some interesting conversations...

Shale's voice and personality are, gladly, much different than I expected. Very amusing.

In my opinion though Leliana or Alistair are the most interesting story wise.

Actually i like them all, i have found Sten more annoying than the others but still interesting. I also spent a considerable amount of time trying the different conversation paths avaliable sometimes even saving the game to try a diffrent path to see what opens up. All in all i do think there should have been some interactive moments asid from the conversation and romance options, like sitting around the fire playing a drinking game, quite possibly a DOA universe horse shoes or lawn dart type of game. Any way i thought the whole interactive camp part of the game helped draw the player into the world. Nice work Bioware guys and gals.
