Which assault rifle do you guys think your squadmates are most effective with? The highest ROF rifle or the vindicator or somewhere in between? Thoughts?

I make Legion use the Geth Pulse Rifle, just for aesthetic reasons, I don't care if it's weaker. I make everyone else use the Vindicator.

Considering how the Avenger deals significantly less damage than the default SMG, I'd say Vindicator is a good way to go...

I like the Collector's Assault Rifle for my squadmates, eats through enemy shields while I line up headshots with my Sniper Rifle.

Vindicator, even though I'm not impressed by it on squadmates.  Besides the Vindicator (and the Revenant on Soldiers), Assault Rifles aren't very good in this game, and whichever other gun your squadmate has is probably going to be better.

Most squadmates with Assault Rifles also have Sniper Rifles, which are better; Samara has a SMG that's better than the Assault Rifles; the only real question mark is Grunt, where you have to choose between the Shotgun and Assault Rifle.

The real question is - how do your squadmates aim so ungodly well with the Tempest when in practice it's like shooting during an earthquake?

When you are equiping squad disruptor ammo then the avenger is better because it's rate of fire causes weapons to over heat so well.

That's a good point actually.  Is there any info on the proc rates of cryo/incendiary ammo on different guns?

I was under the impression that it somewhat evens out. At least with Cryo Ammo, it seems low rof weapons are practically guaranteed to freeze on each shot, while it takes more shots on average the higher the rof.
