Actually there is a nice way to deal with 2 heavies, take rip the closest one up first, shields and armor. Once you get to the health drop back into cover switch to something more accurate and high damage and take its head off.  Now watch as the second heavy walks over the body as it is about to go critical.

Do the heavies blow up huge when you use heavy overload on them, too? I've only had one Heavy blow up like that once, even though I shot the heads off tons of them, before.

I used the cain once on the collecter the ship on the first incoming platform, when I hit it, it got stuck and prevented the other bad guys from reaching me. As a Soldier it was easy pickings. Strange but fun bug.

Actually there is a similar bug in the recruitment mission. When you pick up the heavy weap but kill all the mechs without it you cant go down the lift to the floor below.

Didn't use disrupter ammo or overload. Ussually use the Sniper rifle to deal the kill blow, though have done it before with the Vindicator and the Carnifex.

I'd never use medigel because I'm a skinflint bastard who would rather get 100 credits every time he picks up a medkit.

I sometimes use heavy weapons just because they're fun. I especially like starting off with Blackstorm.

I use Cain on Daratar, Reaper core and Thresher maw just to speed things up a bit, but other than that, I use whatever heavy weapon I find the most fun, or not use one at all. Usually not.

sometimes i like using nothing but the flamethrower.

currently i changed Cini to not allow heavy weapons at all. makes shepard more of a proper commando instead of space marine.

Medi-gel is kinda cheap, but usually I just say "**** it, not starting over from the last autosave." I've been using heavy weapons less and less, except againt praetorians I guess. They don't play.

I prefer not to use Medigel everytime a squadmate goes down, i usually deal with the rest of the enemies myself, and let them auto-revive after the battle. And in some situations reviving them would just cause them to get knocked out again.

Heavy weapon usage depends on the character, as Soldier i use the Grenade Launcher, and often fire it even on lesser enemies, especially after acquiring the Revenant. My Vanguard uses the flamer, extremely handy if use after an Area Charge. As Infiltrator who dies if you look at her funny, the Missile Launcher is the weapon of choice due to it's "fire-and-forget" function, that i save for heavily armored opponents though.

I get some masochistic pleasure out of taking down the Praetorians with nothing but my SMG. I don't know why, it makes the fight last a lot longer than it should.

I try to use my heavy weapons liberally. There really is no point in not using them. Avalanche is a beast.

It's not that tiny.

All things considered, however, I tend to use the more practical heavy weps over the big stuff. As much as I like the idea of flamethrowers and nukes, most missions see me going in with the Missile Launcher, Arc Projector or Particle Beam. The other stuff is just too inflexible for most missions.

I rarely ever use Heavy Weapons. There are a few fights in the game where I'll use them to save myself tedium but those are the exceptions. I always carry the Avalanche around, but I only ever pull it out if I run into a scenario where enemies are tightly packed enough to make it worth firing off a few shots.

As for med-kids, I rarely find myself using them to protect myself. I'm a Vanguard, so I can just charge to replenish my shields if need be. These kits are usually reserved for reviving Garrus when he does his suicidal CQC Sniper runs every once in a while.

I [generally] try to save HW & MG as much as possible but will liberally use either when I'm about to get annoyed or bored.

I'll use HW against Praetorians, Heavy Mechs [if 3+], and maybe gunships. I almost never use MG unless I'm in trouble and I need the other 2 guys to get back up and act as a temporary distraction.
