Strange. You should have one as far as I know.
What version of Dragon Age did you purchase?

I don't have one either. I used to have one, but I recently got Ultimate Edition which reinstalled with no override folder. Now a lot of my characters are bald! Can I make my own override folder in the packages/core like I had in the original game?

I'm having the exact same problem as tonyaleanne, it's ever since I installed using just Ultimate Edition and without saving any data from Origins.

I'm having this problem too. I installed the Ultimate Edition and there's no override folder. I'm considering just making one and seeing if that works. What can it hurt, right..? *cough*

I'm on Windows 7, and installed the Ultimate Edition. There was no override folder, so I created one in:
Program Files (x86)\\Dragon Age\\packages\\core
and copied the requisite folder there. It seems to be working great! I loaded a previous save and my character looks just like always, and I've started a new game and the new hair/eye/skin color options are all available.
I'm NOT saying this will work for everyone! I have no idea what I'm doing. But it did work for me.

I have no idea why there are double backslashes there. I guess it's clear what the path is, though.

Hm...when I installed UE (Vista) the override folder is in 'My Documents' and not 'Program Files'. Having just played around with a few mods this week though it doesn't make a difference when I installed the mods to 'Override' in 'My Documents'.
