I know there is a similar forum post about what squad members you have on your team for powers and how they compliment each other ect, but this one is based on the individual characters themselves and would they actually get along. For Example: I like to put Jack and Grunt together they're both badass's eager to kill anything that moves, have little to no remorse about actions you or they undertake and seem to get along really well.

Annnd yours?

Jacob and Samara I think work well together. Pull/Throw for good times.

I like Miranda + Jack/Jacob/Samara
.
So I have the unique squad bonus Miranda provides and can do warp explosions.
.
This with soldier and vanguard.

Mordin + Miranda - not only do they have my favourite 3 abilities - Warp, Incinerate & Overload - they're both scientists, which is always a good thing.

[Edit] Also, Garrus + Zaeed is a good fit - both have fought their fair share of scum, are renegade in their own way and have suffered terrible injury only to become stronger, albeit disfigured, afterwards. Of course, having AP ammo & Incendiary Greande for armour and Disruptor ammo & Overload for shields/synthetics is another good reason.

Then there's the trio of science freaks - Miranda, Grunt & Jack. I'm sure there's a film to be made there! [/Edit]

Miranda is not scientist. she is Cerberus operative. by the way, she had responsibility for Nazzarus project for shepard. but that's all. Illusive man specially pointed her to do that job.

This.

Currently playing on an Adept, using Miranda+Jack. Instant warp explosions, overload, squad warp ammo and Miranda's bonus works really well together with an Adept's powers. (But also good for other classes)

Miranda and Kasumi is a great combination for me. One is the support with the squad damage buffs and access to both Warp and Overload, while the other is a damage and CC machine. Fits real well with most classes except for perhaps an Adept who wants more biotics to work with.

Plus, just aesthetically, one girl in white, one girl in black. Works pretty well.

Thane and Miranda for a grand ol' Warp Festival. Arm one with Warp Field, and another with Heavy Warp, Scions won't know what hit them.

I go with Garrus and Tali. Yes, we lack biotics, but I really don't use them that much anyway. Because I play a Soldier, I can cut through just about any Armor or Barrier with my ammo, then for shields, I've got Overload. Garrus has his AP Ammo and Tali has her Combat Drone, which as come in handy more often than not.

Plus, it's the whole nostalgia factor. I used them the entire first game, so when I saw they were both back, It was natural for me to go with them again.

For me Mordin+Kasumi, Inc.Blast+Imrp. Frag. Grenade is awesome, plus I love their "battlecries" :) Nothing is funnier when a we kill a charging krogan and Mordin says "You thought I am harmless, did you?" :)
Good pairs are too:
- Miranda+Thane, warp ownage
- Legion+Tali against geth, especially with my engineer, Drone fest + AI hacking
- Garrus+Thane with Incissor both + my Infiltrator - snipe fest fun

More booze and the thing you put more booze in.  Hell yeah! :D

All joking aside, I kind of like Garrus+Mordin.  Incinerate and Overload are both great for dealing with protected enemies (unless they have a barrier, but that's what I have Warp and/or Reave for!)."

Samara with Heavy Reave and Mordin with Heavy Incinerate with my Soldier Shepard using Revenant with Inferno Ammo was a really smooth run for me. :D

I've played the game so much now that sometimes, regardless of the mission,  I actually take 2 women along just for the thrill of "ordering them around", even if it's only in a video game. Funnily enough I actually try to avoid having just male squadmates along, especially humans. I feel it just becomes a penis comparison thing. I don't feel that around Grunt, though.

For the N7 missions against Bloodpack members, I take either Zaeed and Grunt, or Garrus and Grunt. This way my team has both types of amo for mech and flesh enemies.

Story missions I usually take Kasumi and a mixture of the rest. Her dark strike has helped me out so many times on insanity mode.

I love taking Legion and Tali together solely for the chaos that is Combat Drone. Throw in some AI Hacking, and the enemy never takes a shot at me. Have been reluctant to throw Dominate in there as well, but it's very tempting.

Thane and Samara works well in certain situations for me with the warp explosions.

Kasumi by herself has proven to be as good as any two squadmates. Not for every mission, but certainly when the Eclipse or Blue Suns are involved.

I took Grunt and Jacob with me to the Derelict Reaper because I tend to ignore them a bit too much, was looking for something new. They proved a potent match for the husks.

im quite liking Zaeed and Kasumi now, being an infiltrator myself i seem to go well with her when she shadow strikes and i tactic cloak then Zaeed as a big distraction and inferno grenades...plus there both pretty badass and have loveable wisecracks for my renegade ways :P

Some of the one-liners they have in this game are hilarious, highlights of some missions, even...

I like the grenade combination of Kasumi and Zaeed that I'm using for my current playthrough. Her fully upgraded frag grenade provides the knock down (and some damage) and his fully upgraded heavy inferno grenade burns them up. Kasumi's grenades work great against barriers and shields and Zaeed's do wonders against armor and health.

In spite of my paragon ways, I still love taking Zaeed on missions. I didn't take Kasumi out nearly as much as I wanted on my last playthrough, but I can see how she'd be just as interesting. Funny that, considering they're the two squadmates you can't have a conversation with on the Normandy. Prefer that to being told the calibrations aren't finished yet.

speaking of Kasumi did anyone else feel Bioware did not put as much effort into her as they did with Zaeed, her main mission aside alot of her dialogue when you talk to her on the ship is re-hashed quite a bit where with Zaeed i think each time i talk to him after a mission he usually has something new to say..hmm

I've noticed her dialogue tends to repeat itself.  I'm one of the people who makes the rounds after each mission (recruitment & loyalty - not every N7 mission) and I've heard a lot of the same things over and over.  Not sure yet if it's because she says three things each time to Zaeed's two or if she has less unique sayings.  I'll have to be curious on another playthrough and document everything each one says.

I like to mix and match a lot but I do feel some missions require certain members more than others. Like with the Biotic nerf in place it's tough to use Samara and Jack in missions where you're up against shields. Too in engagements over distance it's good to have a sniper on your team as it is to have shotgun wielders in close combat scenarios. However you can use any two team members successfully if you know how to use them in combat.
