Are we sure this is a sign of a DLC or is it cut dialouge?

We are not sure about anything concerning this other than the audio is on the disk.

I retract that.

It does seem to heavily suggest a Liara DLC considering the name of the audio file there has DLC in it.

Considering Kasumi, I tend to agree, but you never know.

It would seem odd if they never elaborated on this story. It feels as if the thread is dropped after the Observer mission.

If Kasumi is any indication, then the next DLC may be Liara's, and is released alongside the second alternative appearance pack.

I just hope that if there is DLC featuring Liara, they include an opportunity to "catch up" properly... :)

I suppose if we never heard anything about it, then it would be safe to assume it was cut.  If it is a DLC, Liara may just play a small part with a little dialog on Illium for example, and nothing more.  Shep receives a message and then goes to Illium and talks to her and then goes off to start the mission.  I kinda think from what I have heard, that the Liara fans would probably prefer it this way themselves.

I would think Liara fans want to see her as much as possible.

It isn't unheard of to have a non-Squad member be in your squad for a bit. The engineer guy on the Cerberus station was.

Not after reading the latest canon material from what I have been told.

I'm kinda of glad that wasn't in the game. Hunting down and anticlimactically killing the Shadow Broker just seems silly given how he was built up.

I was told why, but forgot the reason.  Perhaps someone can post here that is in the Liara group that discussed it.

Edit:  I am not sure though to be honest, so just forget I said it.

Ok

Maybe you don't really kill the shadowbroker. Remember how many have said it's really a group of people.

Maybe you only kill one.

It all speculation.  I used to think the SB was an indoctrinated organic over an indefinite period of years, but was told that the comics do not indicate this.  The SB does not appear to be indoctrinated concerning his/her communications with Harbinger.

I'll be pretty damn disappointed if the Shadow Broker is just killable in random DLC. He/She/it/They seem to have been set up to be much more powerful than that over the course of ME1, at least.

This would've made a promising recruitment mission during ME3.

@ TelexFerra : Yeah you get the location from the radio next to the scientist outpost sidemission you get from Noveria... I always got it from Lorik Qui'in's Synthetic Insight offices, first floor

I really hope this comes out soon, or is the premise for a full-on expansion pack like Awakening.

It's not exactly proof. It's been known because the save files reference triggers for a Liara DLC and those sound files were found about two months ago (or more). However, there is insufficient evidence to say that they will make a Liara DLC -- it could have been canceled altogether.

About as much evidence we had for Kasumi...

I do wonder how large it will be. I assume it will be quite large (3-5 hours/mission) with a third heavy pistol, a possible level cap raise and some new skills (RB skill screen has room for 2 more skills for Shep, 1 more for each squaddie).

That's quite the DLC Kaiser. I'm not sure we can gather all of that just from what we have.

Given the timing and having yet to see BioWare respond in any thread about this? {And it has been brought up before so I suspect they have seen threads about this}  That any information would be heavily tied to an as of yet unannounced ME2 Expansion.  I suspected this from the beginning though as it seems they pulled the audio out at the last minute... like a "oopssy" kinda

The space between DAO and DAA was four months (Nov-MArch)

If we use that same time frame, then it would be out around the end of May or beginning of June. (Though there is no evidence to support this)
