Well there are a slew of invisible planets the Normandy can fly over in the solar map. I think I counted 20 or so last time, haven't re-checked and because of the two new DLC's I'm sure the number has dropped but there's still a decent amount.

Regarding the Shadow Broker DLC. I wish Liara didn't blow you off like that. Meh, I dislike how shes changed so drastically, understandable but still. If you romanced her Id like to see more hints of her old self. Thats why so many people like her.

All in all I hope it is a longer DLC. I enjoyed the Firewalker and Kasumi DLCs thus far. I wish the Kasumi one was larger just for the entire feel of it. I thought it was great.

I think they realized, as someone said, the anticlimactic "lol SB ur dead!" was lame and that they had already manipulated the Liara story enough.

With that said, Liara and the SB along with other topics may have more to do with bridging ME 2 and 3, so it seems better fodder for an expansion. But hey, what the hell do I know?

Yeah, killing the SB in a DLC is a major fail on Bioware's part. The SB was an integral part of Mass Effect's story. Touching the subject in a DLC is nice. Ending it in a DLC is utter fail though.

What they did to Liara was mega-fail as well.  The DLC would just make it worse.  I can already imagine her laughing like Kefka from Final Fantasy Vi...

Also I think the SB would already be dead.  Why would the Collectors and Harbringer leave him alive after such a dramatic failure? Maybe the turned him into a husk after all...

Yeah, Liara's character change was VERY unwelcomed. I'd figure Drew would've never done that had he been writing it. Killing the SB in a DLC? That's just.........ridiculous

How does one become a writer at Bioware anyway (I am not saying this critically of anyone)?  I am just curious.

Thus why I think it will be a pretty big DLC.

Big DLC as in Expansion, or big DLC as in just a huge addition thats not like 15 hours long?

Because honestly, I'd rather they NOT confront the SB until ME3.

Yeah, if they aren't going to do it justice, save it for an expansion.  A quick one hour DLC teasing us with Liara and then just having her return to Illium and tell you to screw off (ironically, like most of your squad mates after a certain point) would be anticlimactic as hell.  Hopefully you could at least space Feron for being a complete failure.

From the BioWare frontpage, click on the "Careers at BioWare" thingy > Careers at Edmonton (for ME, I suppose) > Scroll down > Design, Writer

It appears I can't post the link for some strange reason, so these directions will have to do.

Big DLC as in ME2's "Awakening", expect a hub world and 3-5 missions.

If it's anything like Awakening there will be a game stopping bug and you'll never be able to import your Shepard from that point on...

I'd rather anything huge like that would be part of EVERYONE's canon story.

The Shadow Broker is a big enough entity that I feel he/she/they would help tackle the Reaper threat in ME3.

Some lame-o DLC would just kill it. I'd hate to say Mass Effect failed in gripping me after the first game.

I am guessing they are not looking for people with an Insurance and Financial Services background, lol :(

Don't think so, especially now that they're part of EA. Guess you can always try, though:

I love Mass Effect, but Edmonton? ... I don't know if it's worth it!

The space between DAO and DAA was four months (Nov-MArch)

If we use that same time frame, then it would be out around the end of May or beginning of June. (Though there is no evidence to support this)

Maybe they are taking more time with the expansion given the reaction to Awakening.  I believe that they announced Awakening roughly a month before release.  That suggests that the same may be true for a ME2 expansion;  That being they won't announce it until they are almost ready to release it.

Everyone believes that the Shadow Broker is too important to die in DLC. While that makes a ton of sense, consider what has to be done in ME3: we are talking about taking down an army of Reapers. There is going to be a lot of main mission material and a lot less side mission material considering we kill one Reaper per game in both ME1 and 2. So if BW wants to avoid putting a ton of assets on the disk so that the 360 version requires about 4 disks, then they have to cut down on the plot-related material that is not tied to the main mission. Therefore, the possibility of taking out the Shadow Broker in DLC is improved immensely.

You'll probably be able to take them down by destroying Skynet

Oh wait, that's just the human reaper

I have a feeling that we might have one of those "mass effect" decisions like Balak in BdtS, like if you let the Shadow Broker live, he can share all the information of the Collectors and such, but he has to go free; or you can kill him, but you loose all his information because it's tied into his graybox (I'm still confused by the "graybox" concept, but if I don't make any sense, I meant the info would die with him).

Im no game developer but I think it would take a lot longer to make the equivalent sized DLC for ME2.

I'm not so sure. Both ME2 and DAO contain restricted areas. (Cells if you will; i.e. you can't go past a certain area because there's a fense or what not)

ME2 doesn't have to worry about the inventory.

If they were going to release an expansion, then the audio files would already be recorded.

The entire greybox thing seemed contrived to me. I wish we could have seen what was in there.
