Best class + weapon + loyalty skill combo

For the most versatile and best class I would go with the sentinel with AR training and warp ammo. The Sentinel has a skill to breach any enemies defenses, and also has the highest survivability of any class in the game. Though they may not kill quite as fast as a infiltrator, their versatility and survivability makes them a more effective and overall better class.
Thoughts? Criticism?

Some would say pwning everything in record time = effective, while I'd say most likely to succeed in zero death runs = effective.

What's your definition of effective, though?

I'd also say most likely to succeed in zero death runs is the most effective. As well as ability to excel in various combat situations.

Soldier with Revenant and Shredder Ammo and max upgrades = Kills Harbinger in under 5 seconds! =D
Shredder Ammo does no extra damage against armor and barriers thus useless against Harbinger. You should use Inferno or Tungsten Ammo against Harbinger (+60% or +70% dmg), Shredder Ammo +0 %. Shredder Ammo is very effective at Veteran or lower levels, but almost useless at Insanity/Hardcore.

However after Horizon i'd say Vanguard with Eviscerator or Claymore & Reave/Energy Drain is hands down the best as it mixes Sentinel like survivability with Infiltrator level Killing power;)

Vanguards at higher levels do develop very good killing power as well as survivability and if played right are amazing. But they are not as versatile as solider's and with GSB/Fortification/Barrier a solider can have more survivability as they get a additional health boost at the start.

Infiltrator + Widow + Warp Ammo
Adept + AR Training + Energy Drain/Warp Ammo
Soldier + Revenant + Geth Shield Boost
I beat NG+ Insanity with all three of these.

Soldier with the revenant. Energy drain if you're facing a lot of shielded enemies, Reave if you're facing a lot of armor and barriers. Just switch them around as necessary. Having Kasumi as a squadmate with her improved flashbang is pretty deadly combo for a soldier who likes to get up close. Use your inferno on organics and disruptor on synthetics.
Disagree with you... The Revenant may be powerful but it is Incredibly Inaccurate. Especially on Insanity every peak out of cover counts. The avenger is the weapon you want.

Out of curiosity whats the maxed out cooldown for GSB/Barrier (Fortification gets no upgrade cooldown so that one's out of the question) on a solider because a vanguard can restore all base shields using heavy charge & they last 4 seconds but can charge every 3.9 seconds so a solider will have to be really fast with the GSB/Barrier to beat that survivability.
I agree with BeresaadSoldier that in theory Vanguard with Claymore using the reload trick should have the highest DPS of any class

My build
Throw: 1
Warp: 0
Guardian: 10
Cryo: 10/Area
Overload: 10/Area
Warp Ammo: 10/Squad
Power Armor: 10
I have no real deficiency against any defense, maybe Armor, but WAmmo does a really good job chewing it up. I have no dependency on a certain squad to fill a need so I get to bring whoever I want.
I went Guardian because I like the extra cool down and Power Armor because of the extra power damage. I play mostly at range so it fits my style.

Soldier can get the claymore as well and gets a huge damage boost with adrenaline rush.I agree with BeresaadSoldier that in theory Vanguard with Claymore using the reload trick should have the highest DPS of any class

The Revenant's accuracy is fine. It's much better than the shotguns and in the same class as SMG's (better than the Shuriken and arguably better than the Tempest as well). Comparing it to the Avenger is silly, the two weapons aren't even in the same universe when it come to killing power.

For me it is an Engineer with maxed Full Cryo and one point in Geth Shield boost. Allows for me to die very few times and go on fast melee rampages.
