I thought id show off the two trailers me and a friend have made as we begin production on our full blown Dragon Age Machinima Movie "Dragon Age : The Dark Journey".
We've all but finished the scripts, set building is already at an advanced stage, and im ready to animate the lot, and casting is currently underway.
Despite all this, we've still managed to find time to make these two trailers that im really proud of. One is a general trailer for the movie, and the other is a 7 minute introduction to all the characters.
If anyone wants to get involved in the project be it technical, or audition for any roles, feel more than free to visit the project page at
http://social.biowar...m/project/2568/

Here's the goods, i hope you like them as much as we had fun putting them together!
I'm hoping to do a good few as we get more of the film made. So ill be sure to add them here as and when we make them :)

Interesting. Quite interesting. I submitted an audition on your project page. I would like to ask if this follows the cannon story ( as Alistair King, Bhelen King, Werewolves cured etc. ) or the specific story from one of the creators playthrough?

Yes, we didnt want to make a fan film based off of any of our personal ingame characters, since we felt that would detract from the viewer really "feeling it". We set out from the start to try and make it as authentic as possible, and as such, we took it from the viewpoint of "what would bioware do". And from their other games (such as Mass Effect, KotOR etc) we saw that bioware usually use the good guy ending as their main canon.

So the short answer is yes, we stick to the bioware form of canon. :) And we love doing it that way, because it allows us to talk about the original story more freely (especially writing for people near or close to King Alistair in Denerim) :)

And thanks for the audition as well, i'll be sure to check it out the moment i get back from work! :)

Well the cannon ending ( the one you get should you choose to use cheats to finish the game just after you start your origins ) has Bhelen becoming king of Orzammar. I wouldn't call him a good guy heh.

Anyway, can't wait to hear your response to my audition!

Showcasing a small selection of the many sets and scenery we've created for the movie, the hunter's path takes you on a trip through the Southron Hills, Orlais, Denerim, Ferelden, and the Frostback Mountains

The Movie itself should be ready come June!
