Hi all, I've read on here numerous times that you get two bonus powers in ME2, but I can't seem to do this.

I have all my crew members loyal 100% and I am at level 27 on my first playthrough. Also, what about an extra weapon type? I read about people here doing that, too.

You can only have one bonus power at a time but you can change it an unlimited amount of times for 5000 Eezo.

Advanced weapons training (getting AR on an Adept etc.) occurs automatically as you progress through the story (it's in an Illusive Man given mission). You'll know you're almost there when you go to explore an abandoned ship.

Hmm, I thought I could have two, oh well.

As for the mission to get a new weapon, how? I'm at the end of the game, about the go to the collector world, I've done EVERYTHING in the game, I have 100% galaxy exploration, all anomalies done, 100% loyal squad, all upgrades in the game purchased, why didn't I get this mission from The Illusive Man?

Thank you.

PS: I'm an infiltrator, does that make a difference?

Well, you can either get an extra weapon type, or pick up a weapon for a weapon you already know how to use.

I.e. if you have the widow, you can't get more weapon training.

So wait, playing Infiltrator and picking up the Widow Rifle makes it so I can't get a weapon? I wasn't informed in the game at all, nor did I see the ability to get anything else in there.

Well, the moment you pick up the widow is when you can choose assault rifle or shotgun instead.

Definitely did not come up for me, it just said I acquired the widow.

Oh well. :\\

Hmm.

That's weird ... don't worry about it too much, though. SMGs are competitive (better, even .. if you're accurate with the Tempest) with assault rifles vs. shields and barriers, and the pistol (and widow) rip through armour like nobody's business.

I'm of the opinion widow is the best choice (even though I take the viper on some missions).

I wish I could actually shoot the Widow. I'm playing on Hardcore and honestly, the thing is unusable. It runs out of ammo far too quickly compared to the Viper.

Don't waste ammo, make every shot count, take your time to take the headshot. You can one shot kill all normal enemies with the Widow. If you're having trouble the Viper is a better pick - more an AR with scope. I recommend the Widow though, its the most powerful weapon in ME2 and it's very pleasing to take down enemies with just one shot.

If your playing on the PC then you have spare power slot where you can mod a 2nd bonus power onto your shep but do you really need a 2nd bonus power:?
