Patient Log 81-S-295 - Shepard, John
Patient remains largely unresponsive to group and private therapy, returning to the 'Reaper' delusion frequently. Delusion appears to be evolving, growing more complex - myself, Dr. Tevos, and other staff are now believed to be 'indoctrinated', evidently a kind of mind control exerted by the 'Reapers'. As a result, John has become increasingly agitated in group and observational therapy - recommend one-on-one sessions in future to accelerate dismissal of claims.
Shepard's interactions with Orderly Vakarian are a subject of growing concern, as Mr. Vakarian insists on engaging with the 'Reaper' delusion, going so far as to 'assist' Shepard on 'missions' against them. For his part, Mr. Vakarian believes Shepard's personality profile will not permit a second 'surrender', and that he must be walked through to a 'victory' in order to begin disassembling his fantasy world. I have reminded Mr. Vakarian that two years in C-Sec surveillance do not a psychiatry degree make, and that legal action is a likely outcome of ongoing interference with patient therapy, but he remains combative with what he perceives as "red tape getting in the way of results". I am recommending a transfer to Omega Wing, to let him look after the psychos on drool doses for a while.

Now you just need to write out the whole Saren thing. Perhaps Saren was another doctor there and Shepard thought him to behind an elaborate conspiracy?
Saren and Benezia, due to their own complcations, were easily deluded into believing anything that other people said. Their fascination with the Reaper myth that existed only within the vivid hallucinations of Shepards mind caused him to become paranoid of their behavoir, eventually turning on them, ambushing the ailing Asari Matriarch during dinner, and killing her with several stabs from a dinner fork. This traumatic incident, as well as Shepard's ability to convince Saren that he was being deluded by characters of Shepards delusions grabbed a guard's pistol and committed suicide to "save himself from the reaper menace."
After these events, Shepard was given limited access to other patients.
Vigil on Ilos was Shepard's corrupted concious. It finally got the better of him and convinced him to outright kill Chief of Medicine Saren Arterius. Shepard confronted Saren in the hospitals intelligence mainfrain where Saren was preparing a cure for Shepard's mental condition. Shepard's concious told him that Saren was actually preparing to let the Reapers in. The Reapers are actually the vaccine itself and Shepard is determined to fight it.
Years later the vaccine was prepared and several other patients suffering from post tramautic stress disorder were given the vaccine. It currently only worked on humans and the Cerberus Philanthropy Director Timothy though wanted to see how much severe Shepards condition had become. Shepard recruited several other patients in a "live action roleplay" simulation to fight the cure. People injected with the vaccine and were starting to take the full effects of the cure appeared as glowing aliens possessed by a Reaper called Harbinger. Other patients in earlier stages of recieving the cure appeared as non-glowing aliens or were turned into the skeletal husks he mistaked robotic surgery equipment for back during the Saren episode.

(This thread is win!)
Chakwas:"How are you feeling today Shepard?"
Shepard:"I'm good. How about you Doctor?
Chakwas:"It's nurse Chakwas Shepard, though I certainly wish I was paid that much somedays. Anyways I brought you some Kool-Aid."
Shepard:"Don't worry Doctor I'll get you some Brandy when I stop at Omega."
Chakwas:"No, Shepard this is just Kool-Aid."
Shepard:"Wait do you hear that?!"
Chakwas:"Hear what?"
*Shepard runs over to Ant Farm*
Shepard:"It's the Collectors! They're abducting human colonists! We have to stop them!"
Chakwas:"Oh dear..."
Shepard:"Wait you see that big one! It's Harbinger! Listen he keeps saying "Assuming Direct Control". My god Harbinger is actually a Reaper!"
Chakwas:"Shepard please sit down. Your Uncle is coming in a few minutes."
Shepard:"I'd never abandom my crew Dr. Chakwas."

Donnel Udina, Shepard's uncle, on occasion would stop by to check on his nephew. However any help Udina offered was largely ignored by Shepard. Most concerning was the time that Shepard insisted that Dr. Anderson punch Udina for suggesting possibly restraining Shepard in his bed when his delusions began to worsen. Every attempt Shepard's uncle has made to reason with Shepard has largely failed leading his uncle to become extremely concerned.

bah, why would the attack of the giant Spaceworm be hazardous to you mental Health? Akuze Survivors would have streams of brown Liquid running out of every bullethole in their Hardsuit if they faced a Thresher Maw. Although, after killing about fifteen, Wormy might not seem as scary anymore.
Sooo... where does toombs fit in all this? Maybe he was an orderly in the Cerberus Hospital, but he was fired for being drunk at the Job? Well, previous to shepard being at the Cerberus hospital

Excellent story but Bioware better not use it. It would literally turn most gamers against them before they even say "ME3 has been released"
And to the author and everyone who have contributed, this is brilliant (You still can't use this idea Bioware for ME3).

I mean it wouldn't really make sense for them to use it since not everyone picked the sole survivor background.vkt62 wrote...

I am referring to the idea of all this being a dream and Shepard waking up or being in a mental institution, or this was just a story/movie Shepard decided to write/make but dumped it, or something along these lines.

I remember reading this somewhere else on another thread, something along the lines that all along he was just hallucinating. This would make a great plot twist, but two things I have to say: one it resembles the story of Shutter Island, second of all I strongly dislike it when directors implement this kind of plot twist it has been done many times before and its just dissapointing to learn that all along the main character was just hallucinating.

But...What happens if you're Ruthless or War Hero?
I don't.......I just,.....No.
Creative, but for all your efforts in only works for a third of the options.
Ruthless I could understand but War Hero definitely not.
