My first day using texmod. :)
So, is it possible to save all the mods you want to use in a Project or something? (for easy reloading). Would be handy.

Just move the TexMod.exe in a separate folder along with all the texmods you want to use; when you load them, you just have to Select All. Makes it alot faster.

There is also the Bypass if that is something you'd want to try.
(If so and you have questions feel free to ask)

Well, I'm not sure I can Join the group to post a request, and the forum thread about texture mods has gone missing (thank you for moving all the modding threads, BioWare!), so a small request:

Can someone fix Grunt's original armor? The upper arms section that's exposed. I could do it myself, too, as long as someone can provide the texture file in an uncompressed format (.psd, .png etc.) - apparently, every tool I've tried to view and extract .pcc files refuses to work on my Windows 7 due to a lot of missing dlls.

I'm also thinking about fixing Zaeed, if possible. Extending his hard-suit over his exposed arm and making some sort of mask (like the Dr.Pepper DLC one) for the back of his head. Zaeed and Grunt are almost suitable for vacuum and hazardous environment missions.

Let me know if someone can help me by sending me the texture files, I'll do the rest. :)

This has propably been asked a ton of times before but I'd like to know if there's a database of outfit codes somewhere? Even knowing where certain charecter's outfit is located from the PCC-files would be a great help. Is there a way to somehow specifically search them? I'd really like to know what are Samara's and Morinth's outfit codes.

Samara (BioH_Mystic_00):
CasualAppearances=(Id=1030,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Male="BIOG_ASA_ARM_LGT_R.LGTa.ASA_ARM_LGTa_MDL",
Female="BIOG_ASA_ARM_LGT_R.LGTa.ASA_ARM_LGTa_MDL"),PlotFlag=-1)

That is all I know, sorry:unsure:.

His Helmet or armor texture or both? Non-Loyality right?
Which pcc do I look in?

No idea, as I said, can't get even UnrealViewer to work. I assume they're on the same file?

If they're not, here's what I would need:

Zaeed Loyalty suit - body texture and head with helmet texture (the one used in vacuum, ex: Collector ship).

Grunt Loyalty suit - just body texture.

EDIT: Maybe the texture for the DLC commando balaclava/hood too, I could spend time by just editing it for Zaeed's head.

(...) You've got the binding section really wrong.  That's not where it goes or how it is.  Generally, "loadlevel" is assigned to a numeric pad key, and in the [SFXGame.SFXGameModeDefault] section. Mine is personally:

Bindings=( Name="NumPadSix", Command="Onlyloadlevel BioD_OmgHub_220DenBar" )

Every time you want to use Aria, you hit the 6 key, THEN go in and select it from the armor menu.

Hmm, that doesn't seem to work for me. :( First, I added this line to c.ini:

TorsoAppearances=(Id=2010,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_LGT_R.LGTd.HMF_ARM_LGTd_MDL"),PlotFlag=-1)

And then this with the Bindings Manager:

Bindings=( Name="L", Command="Onlyloadlevel BioD_OmgHub_220DenBar" )

When I press 'L', it says 'Loading.. (something; it went too fast)'. I still can't slip into Aria's outfit, though. Did I miss a step?

Thanks.

I don't think it is, as I put my binding in the proper [SFXGame.SFXGameModeDefault] section (but yes, it's the same reference post I found about it). Should have worked, really.

Try placing "BioD_OmgHub_220DenBar" under
[Engine.PackagesToAlwaysCook]
as:
SeekFreePackage=BioD_OmgHub_220DenBar
as well.

Also try setting:
[Engine.Engine]
bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=True>>>False

Nope. Armor. Since the prefix says Torso which equates to armor.

For casual wear:
CasualAppearances=(Id=2010,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_LGT_R.LGTd.HMF_ARM_LGTd_MDL"),PlotFlag=-1)

Ah yes, pardon my idiocy! :) Unfortunately, it's not under Armors either. :( How very strange.

EDIT: Okay, part of it will load now, when I select it under 'chest', the arms and shoulders and such are still the old armor parts, and kinda overlap; it looks real weird.

can someone help with weapon modding?

Im trying to make the Vindicator into a full auto like the M8, so i copied all the M8 info over the Vinicator stuff aside from:

PrettyName=209728
IconRef=10
GeneralDescription=338212
ShortDescription=339274
GUIImage=GUI_Codex_Images.Needler_512

to ensure the name stayed the same, but when i got in game it still fired in 3 round bursts but without reapplying the trigger...so what did i do wrong?

basically what i want is 2 rifles exactly the same (based on M8 stats) but with different looks, like in ME1

You need blank Shoulder & Arm slots then:
ShoulderAppearances=(Id=4,Type=CustomizableType_Shoulders,GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_N7Shoulders"),PlotFlag=-1)

ArmAppearances=(Id=4,Type=CustomizableType_Arms,GameEffects=("SFXGame.SFXGameEffect_Gear_N7Arms"),PlotFlag=-1)

Thanks! :) It looks gorgeous now... except it doesn't keep when I leave the armor selector. If I go to 'Squad', the animation for me now displays a full blue aria outfit; but outside of it, inside the game, it's just the default N7 suit.

Well, I went down to Omega, which I reckon is a new load. There's no armor selector thingy there, but pressing my key again it seems the imgame 'Squad' menu has the correct blue armor again, but still not while playing. :(

Darn, I'm so close! I feel it. :)

Anyway, already thanks a lot for all the invaluable help so far.

Yes. When I first arrive I'm back in N7 (and also in the 'squad' screen); as expected. Then I press my load-key, it says 'Loading', and in the 'squad' screen I now *do* have a blue aria outfit -- just not outside of it. :(

Well, it worked, but with a problem (actually,2). There is no speak sound (but has background music) and the loading is a lot slower now. How can i  solve this?

Is this on the Normandy?
How much is the load time increased?

Yes, in Normandy, dont tried out of Normandy. Well, normaly take 2-3 secs (yes, its fast), but with miranda clothes taked 20 sec!!! its 10x slower!!!

Ooo! It's solved now. :) I found a similar post, for a Miranda outfit, at:

social.bioware.com/forum/1/topic/128/index/889432/25#1236173

From which I got the impression I needed a comparable FullBodyAppearances line as well; so I added this to c.ini:

FullBodyAppearances=(Id=2010,Type=CustomizableType_Torso,Mesh=(Female="BIOG_HMF_MIR_LGT_R.LGTa.HMF_MIR_LGTa_MDL"),PlotFlag=-1)

And now my Femshep is walking around in Aria's shiny outfit. :)

N.B. Turned out to be an interestimg first day experimenting with texmod. All those different parts and commands, but it´s sure fun to get it working. So, thanks again, Phoenix.

EDIT: As to the usability of 'bUseBackgroundLevelStreaming=false' one can debate. It's required for the modded Armor to show up; but, as so many others before me, it messes up my sound: large parts of the game now go with no dialogue or effects sounds at all (not just on the Normandy). Which is too bad, as that makes it's general play-through applicability somewhat limited. But it'll make for a few sweet screenshots. :)

All you need to do is change the burst rounds and burstrefiretime values.

BurstRounds=-1
BurstRefireTime=0.0f

Thats it. Full auto.=]
