She has no physical entry in the squad selection 'level' (in game).  Meaning even if you could edit a save to add her to your currently selected team, you'd have to do so every time you started a mission.  

Its not nearly so simple as just adding the other members to your roster early, nor as rewarding since they actually have world/mission dialogue.  Liara doesn't.


Very true, but it is fairly obvious, for plot reasons.
would have been weird seeing her running around, ignoring every bit of reference to ME1. Didn't it bother you that when you meet her with Garrus/Tali in squad, she would actually make out with you in front of them, without even telling her "observant" assistant to go and get some Dextro-Amino pop-tarts??? I mean, even Ashly would make some reference to Tali, and she has to be Gibbed into the save file WTF???

Where in the RAW tab do you manually add in-squad hench? all my gibbed has is a list that gets populated when "acquired" flag is up. I only use the "in-squad" check box. what version do you use?

Hey guys. I was wondering since the new DLC has been released, if there is a way to mod a save file to add Liara to your squad. I've tried a save editor but the option obviously hasn't been implemented.

I see you use a dedicated tool for screen recording

If you have the time.I would love it if you made a nice "Montage" video of Liara as henchman. using powers and all that, And upload it to some site in a rar file, so i could download and watch it in a better quality than youtube.

I bet that there are others like me who just can't get this DLC for a while, let alone the time to play it.

no plot dialogue please...  :wub:

No way to correct this...
Like Grunt and Legion, she just wasn't packed with heavy weapon animation scripts. Point of note: One action that's not class related, is holding weapon back if Shep gets in line of fire. Does she do that?


Also, did somebody try to give Kasumi or thane heavy weapons? can they use them?

Are you able to add her on main game missions now?  And if so, did you do that from Gibbed?  I'm thinking you didn't (and as a lowly xbox player that's all of got unless I break out the hex editor)

I don't think you will be able to fix it, cause this is a mesh problem: Liara is not supposed to be able to use heavy gun so the developer just didn't create a mesh - maybe changing the class of the rifle she will be able to use it, but I don't know for sure. Hope to be helpful.

Now a question:
Can I get the geth pulse rifle and the other two guns I was supposed to choose (machine gun, widom sniper & heavy shotgun) by modifying the Coalesced?

:D I must be a genius - You know after modding Stalker shadow of chernobyl (which scripts cause serious headache) this very well made game seem like a piece of cake :D

Changing the actual class of a weapon would be impossible with out the ability to repack PCC files. Editing a heavy weapon into any other class slot, would have no functional effect. This has been discussed in recent pages.

With respect, perhaps the esteemed genius is showing early symptoms of radiation sickness? ;)

New content is impossible to add (PCC Decomp)

I know of 2 ways in which people have managed to add another option to permanent loadout:

1) Configuring the Minigun to have required lines for Loadout and HUD GUI reference.

2) Deleting the statement that makes the Aegis pack replace the initial incisor, so it would just be added. You would then be able to customize the second incisor to have a completely different functionality.

And here's the bummer: The viper and incisor already use a similar mesh, so who needs 3 SRs that looks the Same just to tweak?

The first thing I felt after finding out that PCC's could not be repacked, was severe disappointment. After finding out that console was disabled - Annoyed;
After realizing that any configuration files that could possibly shed light on Flag mapping, moot c.INI entries and significance of section location in regards to loading order - I went on a freakin' tantrum.

only now I believe that they had good reasons for doing so.

also, the thought that they would find it ethically affordable to disable the console, shows how certain they were that it would not be needed in order to solve the "Got stuck under the floorboards" bug, or the "save suppression stuck after combat bug",that plagued ME1, while absent from ME2.

Does LotSB change the Coalesced.ini? I noticed my cheats are gone and I don't want to replace it if it will mess up the DLC.
