Does LotSB change the Coalesced.ini? I noticed my cheats are gone and I don't want to replace it if it will mess up the DLC.

Short answer yes.

Long answer: Each time you install a DLC the DLC installer writes over your current C.ini with a default one that has DLC info added to it. In order to get everything back you must reapply the data into the Coalesced.ini.

Hello, i have a stupid and maybe already answered question, but looking over 77 pages of the thread is a lil frustating!

After new dlc install, is it enough to copy paste an old edited coalesced.ini or must i rewrite it from scratch?

Thanks in advance and thumbs up for this beautifull thread!

Still working on it, either I added something I shouldn't have or missed something.

By reapply the data you mean rewrite it from scratch or a copy-paste of the old coalesced is enough?

I don't advise that.

Kinda of; if you know the changes you have made then just readd them and you'll be fine.

Ah, alright thanks. Y'know I've never actually seen the instructions to add the cheats to the ini, anybody got 'em?

Say you changed under:

[SFXGame.SFXGameModeBase]
Bindings=( Name="Shared_Aim", Command="SwapWeaponIfEmpty | TightAim | OnRelease StopTightAim" )

To:
Bindings=( Name="Shared_Aim", Command="SwapWeaponIfEmpty | TightAim | SloMo 0.2 | OnRelease StopTightAim | OnRelease SloMo 1" )

You would copy only the "binding code line back in.

Piece of cake... maybe. Though I never had problems with the SoC scripts, nor do I have problems with the Call of Pripyat scripts right now. The only headache the xRay engine causes me, are the more-or-less frequent bluescreens.

If you use Notepad++, do a Compare between the baseline C.ini (the most recent unmodded one you have), and the LotSB C.ini. If they are different, oh well. If not, try using the old modded C.ini.
You can also just copypasta all the modded entries into the new C.ini, without having to rewrite every single line.

Ok, I've found (and got working) Liara's new head/face, her armored labcoat, and Vasir's blue armor:
BIOG_ASA_HED_PROLiaraSB_R.Liara.ASA_HED_PROBASE_MDL

BIOG_ASA_ARM_LIAa_R.LGTa.ASA_ARM_LGTa_MDL",FemaleMaterialOverride="BIOG_ASA_ARM_LGT_R.LIAa.ASA_ARM_LIAa_MAT_1a"

BIOG_ASA_SPR_HVY_R.HVYa.ASA_SPR_HVYa_MDL

As for levels to load/files needed:
BioD_Exp1Lvl1_600LiaraReveal works for sure, but loads slow.
BioD_Exp1Lvl1_700Cutscene is a smaller file and I THINK it has everything needed, and should load faster if it works--still testing.

I put "BioH_Liara_00" in the "packages to always cook" section--might not be needed, but certainly can't hurt.

::edit:: Ok, the forum is doing weird things to the formatting.  If you can't see it, the material override for Liara's armor-coat is BIOG_ASA_ARM_LGT_R.LIAa.ASA_ARM_LIAa_MAT_1a

Thank you for posting all this! :o

Wish i could help you people with the PCC sifting, I don't have the DLC yet.

David, are you sure that the "BioH_Liara_00" PCC does not contain some of the meshes you listed above?

I have pulled meshes out of all of the other BioH PCCs, and as I understand it,
If a henchmen is seen waring a mesh during any part of the game that has her head icon in the bottom of the screen, then it "must" be in a BioH type package.

But who know what they patched it with :D

Phoenix, Zeph and Turian, just like we did with DLC guns. I used just BIOGame/Engine..

SetRank Liara SFXPower_Dominate_Heavy | GivePower Liara SFXPower_Dominate_Player
SetRank Liara SFXPower_Barrier_Heavy | GivePower Liara SFXPower_Barrier_Player
SetRank Liara SFXPower_Heavy | GivePower Liara SFXPower_BioticCharge
SetRank Liara SFXPower_Heavy | GivePower Liara SFXPower_Cloak
SetIntByName Wpn_ParticleBeam 1 | GiveItem Liara ParticleBeam
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
[SFXGame.BioWorldInfo]

This was the tricky one, but I added this under the section you see over, and then it work just fine..

In BIOGame.ini
[SFXGame.BioGlobalVariableTable]
TimedPlotUnlocks=(PlotBool=6810,UnlockDay=0)

:blink:
So it looks like this:
[SFXGame.BioWorldInfo]
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;LIARA DLC;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
Conditionalclasses=PlotManagerDLC........................
Conditionalclasses=PlotManagerDLC..........................
TimedPlotUnlocks=(PlotBool=6810,UnlockDay=0)
;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;LIARA DLC;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;;
?:unsure:

I added this new line, also with it's header.
[SFXGame.BioWorldInfo]

I added this in between these two..
[SFXGame.BioGlobalVariableTable]
TimedPlotUnlocks=(PlotBool=6810,UnlockDay=0)
[SFXGame.SFXPlayerSquadLoadoutData]

When we added DLC weapons we added new lines with their headers, like that
[SFXGame.SFXWeapon]
DLC between these lines..
[SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXWeapon_AssaultRifle]

Ohhhhhhh they are the same version? I think I'd should have been more precise: If the INI's are the same version there may be no problems. But if the INI's are different versions, that I wouldn't advise.

HenchmenSpecialWeapons=(WeaponclassName="SFXGameContent_Inventory.SFXWeapon_ParticleBeam",

HenchmanclassName=SFXPawn_Liara,UnlockPlotName=Tec_HeavyWeapon)

I think this will work for giving Liara heavyweapons. But I need to test it.

Yea I reliase with Liara been around during ME2 she won't say anything, but still worth it to have her along.
so I'm not sure of modding terms in ME2, is what i've read basically saying we can have her in our squad outside of the DLC?
but if so, would the steps to get her in group be simular to this post?
http://social.biowar...index/1585456/1

been awhile since I've messed with the insides of a game, but I have b4, and I used notepad to access such files in other games, I assume the same here? also I had winxp back then, I got win 7 nowdays, anything different? or same?

anywayz thx all for the replies so far.

****REQ****

I'd like to help locate the "Is In squad" flag that was added to the save files by the LotSB DLC
I need help getting the two files i need for a comparative search, as i do not have LotSB.

Clarification: Save files are perfectly legal for transfer. In fact, the person who saved the file is considered to be the creator of it's content, since it was only generated in response to user input. Also, it does not exist on the game disk when purchased.

If someone would like to help me with this, here's how:

1) Locate a file that was last saved before installing LotSB, but after any other DLC was added - Do not open it in game yet!

2) ZIP/RAR/Whatever this file, and name the compressed file "prelotsb"

3) Start up game, load that same file, and save it as soon as it allows you to. Even taking 2 steps with Shep would  mean 3 different values.

4) The same as 2, only file name should be "LotSB".

5) PM a very thankful Turian, who would send you Email address for the files.

Thanks

You did place your two DLC ini's in a backup folder thus removing from the DLC folder right?
Remove to backup folder: BIOWeapon.ini & BIOGame.ini
And leave  BIOEngine.ini?

Hey thanks for taking the time to help out keen modders like myself, but I STILL can't get the DLC mods to work no matter what I try. Could you kindly send your coalesced to my email (t3hpro88@hotmail.com), and I'll mod it from there? Sorry to sound cheap, but I'm a tech idiotPosted ImagePosted Image. Thanks! Oh and do you already have firepower and aegis in there?
