Still, the game does keep her state tracked somehow since you can load a game during her mission without her disappearing. I don't know what flag you'd need to set to make her stay, but a single button press isn't too bad of a workaround.

Not to bad???

It took you what? 3 days to give anyone who wantes her as a hench the option to do so?

Everything from here is just gravy, that's why i got the "awesomeness" part out of the way first.

Got what you meant with about an hour delay. No line for flag mapping would mean that there's nothing in the pcsav to "GetValue" of, or something for the SquadSelectionScreen GUI to reference.

That only leaves the plot/load manager as something that could stream her BioH PCC on level startup. She stays with you, because there's no point scripting for something to check for the "correct" Hench, power or armor after everything checked out OK on mission startup.
Not supposed to have access to the 3 GUIs that could mess with it beyond that point.

[EDIT: for removing speculative crap paragraph, will test it myself when possible]

This is a duct tape hack for getting Liara in your party at any time.

Disable a party member you'll never use. Miranda, Jacob, and Zaeed are all good choices since you can get them very early in the game with little effort, but this works with anyone.

Go to their entry under [SFXGame.BioSFHandler_PartySelection] and delete their InSquad### tag so you're left with InPartyLabel=,

Then go to [SFXGame.SFXGameModeBase] and add
Bindings=( Name="NumPadZero", Command="StreamLevelIn BioH_Liara_00" )

When you go on a mission, select that deleted character. You'll get a blank spot on your party, which you can fill with Liara by hitting NumPadZero. The game remembers her loadout and power shortcuts so thankfully you only need to set it up once. You have to reload her every time you start a mission or reload a game. InPartyLabel=InSquadLiara as a replacement doesn't seem to work.

I deleted the Line for Zaeed, InSquadVeteran and was left with InPartyLabel=,
and added Bindings=( Name="NumPadZero", Command="StreamLevelIn BioH_Liara_00" )
at the bottom of the [SFXGame.SFXGameModeBase]  and saved it.
and now the game won't start up, yes I backed up my Coalesced.ini  tho.
anyidea why it's not starting the game?
{ok nm, I forgot to put ME2IniFixer in the same folder as Coalesced.ini.
so game starts now, but new prob, I select Zaeed and just as u say, he does'nt show up ingame,
but I can't get the command that puts Liara in to work.
is anywhere specific I put the
Bindings=( Name="NumPadZero", Command="StreamLevelIn BioH_Liara_00" )
in under  [SFXGame.SFXGameModeBase] or is anywhere fine?}

Also Many thanks for figuring this out minormiracle, :D

thanks.

Hi all, I need some help... Please. I have made some changes to my c.ini. Weapon Stats, Unlock special weapons, Custom stats on armor pieces. I have run into a situation on one of my save games. Once I complete a mission, Wilson appears on my loadout screen for every mission after and when I check the weapon locker. Once he shows up, I have no more research options available.
Has this happened to anyone else? I have tried going back to earlier saves, where everything is fine, but after I complete a mission, he shows up.
Any help/advice/ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I asked this a bit ago, but haven't been on the forum since.  First off, Thanks for the responses.

Next order of business:  I never did figure out what I did, exactly.  I had the Special weapons unlocked, but tried to pick the Viper any way for a new Infiltrator play through because I wanted to keep my Femshep with a light weight armament.  After that, everything went to crap (well, at least the research any way).  After all was said and done, I re-locked the Viper, restarted the collector mission from a save I have before I landed and then everything worked out.

I took the easy way and gave up, I know.  I just couldn't figure out what happened.  I just wrote it off in my mind as a corrupted save, and moved on.
Thanks again, folks

Will not be negative, but be aware of this!

See you found the solution, just keep this in mind if this goes wrong so don't blame us on this forum, your doing this at your own risk.

Enjoy your game with Liara.  ;)

Does LotSB change the Coalesced.ini?

Short answer yes.

Long answer: Each time you install a DLC the DLC installer writes over your current C.ini with a default one that has DLC info added to it. In order to get everything back you must reapply the data into the Coalesced.ini.

Concerned about this one. There was no new c.ini file created when I installed LotSB. Last c.ini i have is dated 4/26/2010... I would expect a september date for anything newly written.

Reinstalling to make sure...

Hmmm... did a compare in notepad++ and the c.ini is the same as the one released with the 1.02 patch.

It is possible that in prep'ng for the DLC i didn't create a backup like I usually do... so if someone else could check/confirm this, I'd appreciate it.

Last door doesn't open without him. The save/don't save workers scene also might not trigger. However the scene where he makes his explosive entrance to the refinery does trigger so if you really felt like punching Liara in the jaw for some reason you can go renegade and get to see that.

Upon further testing having Liara in the party anywhere outsider her dlc will not let you pick her weapons. Getting her the desired loadout might require one of the "give party member weapon" ini commands I've seen around here or save game editing, since it is possible to pick her weapons during on the shadow broker's ship.

Just wanted to give a big thanks to phoenixofthunder for helping me get the Firepower DLC weapons into C.ini so I could mod them :)

Awesome community here.

On a side note, Massani + M76 Revenant + M76's Henchmen Damage @ 1.0f + Mercenary Warlord (+50% Weapon Damage) = :o

I opened a thread but probably worth asking here.

Anyway to get the Tiled Screenshot functionality we used to see in ME1 into ME2?

Its still there but the frame buffer effects add some nasty banding to the tile edges. I first thought it was due to forced anit aliasing but turning that off didn't improve things.

Thanks loads for the info. Dont suppose you have an example? I might be able to cover it up with editing software depending on how bad it is.
Also could ya tell me how to activate it? I cant find the BIOconfig file for ME2.

EDIT: Do you mean the black elipse border? That can be turned off no?

Ok, I've found (and got working) Liara's new head/face, her armored labcoat, and Vasir's blue armor:
BIOG_ASA_HED_PROLiaraSB_R.Liara.ASA_HED_PROBASE_MDL

BIOG_ASA_ARM_LIAa_R.LGTa.ASA_ARM_LGTa_MDL",FemaleMaterialOverride="BIOG_ASA_ARM_LGT_R.LIAa.ASA_ARM_LIAa_MAT_1a"

BIOG_ASA_SPR_HVY_R.HVYa.ASA_SPR_HVYa_MDL

As for levels to load/files needed:
BioD_Exp1Lvl1_600LiaraReveal works for sure, but loads slow.
BioD_Exp1Lvl1_700Cutscene is a smaller file and I THINK it has everything needed, and should load faster if it works--still testing.

I put "BioH_Liara_00" in the "packages to always cook" section--might not be needed, but certainly can't hurt.

::edit:: Ok, the forum is doing weird things to the formatting.  If you can't see it, the material override for Liara's armor-coat is BIOG_ASA_ARM_LGT_R.LIAa.ASA_ARM_LIAa_MAT_1a

BioD_Exp1Lvl1_700Cutscene doesn't have Liara in it and seems to crash my game a lot when I try to load it.

Does anyone have a link or can explain how to activate unconventional powers for use like krogan carnage, kasumi's cloak teleport, or the geth siege pulse? I've seen someone enable the flamethrower trooper exploding death "power" for their player, so I know it can be done, but I can't figure out what to load in SeekFreePackageName=

You need to load BioD_Exp1Lvl1_600LiaraReveal.

So can we get a quick and dirty way to add Vasir's armor? I've been looking around for tutorials on adding armor pieces but with no luck. We need some kind of Mass Effect modding wiki or something.

Has anyone come up with a mod for using Shepard's old N7 armor? Probably an old question but after a dozen+ pages my eyes are starting to bleed. A nudge in the right direction would be appreciated. :D

How exactly do you give yourself a rank 4 power? With biotic charge I've tried

SetRank Self SFXPower_Heavy | GivePower Self SFXPower_BioticCharge
SetRank Self SFXPower_BioticCharge_Heavy | GivePower Self SFXPower_BioticCharge
SetRank Self SFXPower_BioticCharge_Heavy 4 | GivePower Self SFXPower_BioticCharge
SetRank Self SFXPower_EvolvedCharge_Slam | GivePower Self SFXPower_BioticCharge
SetRank Self SFXPower_EvolvedCharge_Slam 4 | GivePower Self SFXPower_BioticCharge

With both
DynamicLoadMapping=(ObjectName="SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_BioticCharge",SeekFreePackageName="SFXCharacterclass_Vanguard")
DynamicLoadMapping=(ObjectName="SFXGameContent_Powers.SFXPower_EvolvedCharge_Slam",SeekFreePackageName="SFXCharacterclass_Vanguard")

Every single time the power is still set to rank 1.

I think I know what you were thinking...

A power doesn't really evolve. it's just a script that sets the "basic" power to zero and somehow hides it from view, when the next thing It does is exactly how you should do it, just with C commands:

SetRank Self SFXPower_EvolvedCharge_Slam 4 | GivePower Self SFXPower_EvolvedCharge_Slam

Doesn't work. Without GivePower Self SFXPower_BioticCharge charge doesn't even show up.

Interesting. I just tried both

SetRank Self SFXPower_BioticCharge_Slam | GivePower Self SFXPower_BioticCharge_Slam
SetRank Self SFXPower_BioticCharge_Slam 4 | GivePower Self SFXPower_BioticCharge_Slam

now I have "heavy charge", except it's at rank 1. In fact the number after setrank doesn't seem to do anything.

This is how:

1) No way to change configuration of what will or will not Cook. If you wanna take a shot later on some way to bypass it, It's because all packages that are not part of a "Mission" have debug scripts for checking the editor helper subsections, and the obvious Engine PackagesToAllwaysCook. And of course you won't get s*it from just mapping.

2) So, you'd just have to use almost the same setup with adding Liara:

Bindings for SetLevel and GivePower as you would normally(from now on).
Binding to PCC containing desired NPC power. NOTE: Never use this binding when you are actually in the area or with the Hench of whom the package belong (does it even make grammatical sense?)

A. you won't have to.
B. It will F**kup the universe

Use OnlyLoadLevel= and not the StreamIn function.

Anyways, you got tons of nice things in the Boss fight BioA PCCs
And I know for a fact that Wasea's PCC has carnage in it for some reason.
Not sure why since no one uses it for the entire MysticWarierAcquire.
