You can change the talent point to more like 99 or higher.
Or you can do this, register you as a user on www.cheathappens.com and download the steam trainer for ME2.
Register and accepted the license agreements, and respect that! Don't give this to everyone!

Something, I'm absolutely sure that you do.

I had that trainier for ME2 1.00 (i bought it and registered, don't worry). It had very usefull commands i can't edit on my own like:
press one button and all weapons have infinite ammo, even heavy weapons and dlc ones
increase/decrease paragon/renegade points by 50
etc.

The problem was that it made my game very unstable, crashing very often. When i decided not to use it and to mod my own coalesced the game was WAY more stable. I don't know if they improved it with subsequent versions.

Question, is it possible to add the laser from the phalanx to stock
weapons (i.e. Carnifex Hand Cannon, Revenant, etc). If this is possible
please let me know.

For the record: You can NOT add the Phalanx' laser to other weapons. It's a special function that's part of the pistol itself, and stored in the pcc pack. We can't edit those.

As always, the devil is in the details. :) I already had the 1024 parameter:
( Name="F11",Command="tiledshot 8 1024" )

The 1024 is an attempt to define screen height, I believe. When running the game at 1280x800

"tiledshot 3 800"

Results in a bandless tiled shot, 3840 x 2400 big (3x the screen resolution).

There's a problem though when taking a shot during a conversation or cinematic. If the game goes into pseudo cinematic mode, whacking black bars top and bottom, tiledshot seems to weird at at this sometimes.

Unless you use a resolution that is a match for dialog (no black bars added).  For example 1280x720.  At 16:9 ratio, setting the tiledshot command to

"tiledshot 3 720"

...will make a 3x screen size shot, without issue during cinematics and conversations.

Actually it is an error correction parameter.  My bad.

It you take a tiled shot with just the multiplier and look at the result in an image program you can tell how much of a 'lip' (the black banding) is added to each tile.

The value you enter after the multiplier is how many pixels you're asking the tiledshot to overlap by, to remove the banding.  The larger the value, the bigger the overlap and thus the more shots tiledshot takes to create the large screenshot.  Setting it too high will mean you waste time taking unnecessary shots.

This is a duct tape hack for getting Liara in your party at any time.

Disable a party member you'll never use. Miranda, Jacob, and Zaeed are all good choices since you can get them very early in the game with little effort, but this works with anyone.

Go to their entry under [SFXGame.BioSFHandler_PartySelection] and delete their InSquad### tag so you're left with InPartyLabel=,

Then go to [SFXGame.SFXGameModeBase] and add
Bindings=( Name="NumPadZero", Command="StreamLevelIn BioH_Liara_00" )

When you go on a mission, select that deleted character. You'll get a blank spot on your party, which you can fill with Liara by hitting NumPadZero. The game remembers her loadout and power shortcuts so thankfully you only need to set it up once. You have to reload her every time you start a mission or reload a game. InPartyLabel=InSquadLiara as a replacement doesn't seem to work.

Can someone help me ? I cant get this to work.
Everytime im on the Groupscreen ,the Groupmember who shouldnt be there..  is still there. If i select him and hit my NumPadZero Key, i get a runtime error.

I think i do everything right,
- Coalesced.ini open
- at [SFXGame.SFXGameModeBase] adding Bindings=( Name="NumPadZero", Command="StreamLevelIn BioH_Liara_00" )
- at [SFXGame.BioSFHandler_PartySelection] delete InSquad### tag so im left with InPartyLabel=,
- save and close
- use ME2iniFixer.exe
- Start ME2, going to idk, .. omega. At the Groupscreen the "deleted Member" is still there, if i select him and hit the Zero Key i get the Runtime Error and ME2 crashes.

Do i need this armor locker 2.0 mod for it ? I dont really get what it does and how to install it. Damn Runtime Error this is going on my nerves, why does it not work..  :crying:

So am I reading this right? Does taking the "plot" flag off weapons in Coalesced, ini make them available for use?

t3HPrO: I can possibly knock one up tonight if nobody clarifies things for you first.

However, a question for those who have the process of modding DLC weapons working: Kasumi's CookedPC folder contains a BioGuiResources.ini file whose contents are under the [SFXGame.BioSFHandler_PCNewCharacter] header and replicate the contents of [SFXGame.BioSFHandler_NewCharacter] from Coalesced.ini after Kasumi's loyalty power is copy-pasted in. However, Coalesced.ini doesn't have the PCNewCharacter header. Can/must this file be left in CookedPC, or do I just store it INI Backup without copying its information?

Is there anyway to add Kasumi/Zaeed's loyalty powers to other characters?

Keep it simple.

@ Inge:
Nothing negative meant by our posts Inge. You're still one of the top contributers on this thread. We just thought we should point this out to you. But if you managed to get it working, then it was something interesting to note since either Zeph or myself had simliar results.

You have to integrate the DLC ini contents into the C.ini, then you should be able to add them just as any other power.
I'm fairly sure it's possible, I just can't remember the exact walkthrough right now.

I would like to understand that too. Expecially if i modify a DLC .ini then the ME2 ini fixer is not working to recompile it. Do i need to use rubyscript or there's another way?
Also i would like to know if Is there a keybindable command to make all your weapons have infinite ammo instead of modifing all wepons "ammoisinfinite" value?

I'm doing ashley's armor. Now obviously, thats the armor, however I can't get the material to work right. Anyone know where i should go from here.
So here's the relevant part of the line
,Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_HVY_R.HVYa.HMF_ARM_HVYa_MDL",FemaleMaterialOverride=
"BIOG_HMF_ARM_CTH_R.CTHa.HMF_ARM_CTHa_MAT_6a"),PlotFlag=-1)

Now that's what I had first then I changed it to
,Female="BIOG_HMF_ARM_HVY_R.HVYa.HMF_ARM_HVYa_MDL",FemaleMaterialOverride=
"BIOG_HMF_ARM_HVY_R.HVYa.HMF_ARM_HVYa_MAT_16a"),PlotFlag=-1)

and it crashes. However if I just make that 16a some xa where x is a single digit number, it doesn't crash. However it also looks the same as if I hadn't changed it at all. I'm sure I'm over looking something obvious. IF you need more information, by all means, ask.

Define "crash".  As in, the game actually quits etc?  Or you simply have no texture/the wrong texture?   If the latter, that's because the game absolutely will not "listen to" material overrides for combat.  If you want Ash's armor, it must be set as a casual outfit.  Now, seeing as I don't think the Ursa armor is used in-game anywhere, Texmodding Ash's over it shouldn't affect any other character.   FYI, they seem to have used a low-res texture for Ash's armor in-game, I'll see if the highest-res version from ME1 works.  (so far, everything that looks re-used, IS re-used, and ME1 texmods work for ME2)

Also, try 11a instead of 16a.

Does anyone know what C.ini variable dictates the range at which a weapon's damage drops off?
I'm trying to add some realism to the ballistics.

I've already posted this in the wrong thread (Part I), and now I'm posting it here:

I'm now searching for hours and can't find anything about this.
So what I want is basicly have an asari Shepard. Skincolor wouldn't be the problem, but I don't know how add the 'tentacle hair'. And as addition if somebody know how to add markings would increase the awesomeness.

Or just give me a way to replace the head with an existing asari one. If possible Seryna. That would already make me happy.
I'm kinda familiar with Gibbed's Editor and the Coalesced Editor, though if somebody want's to explain it to me think about explaining it to a total retard.

Thanks a lot for an answer.

Miranda's Locker mod is the best wardrobe mod for me. Is there any way to add Samara's armor to that list? Perchance?

Any way of getting either Miranda's black armor or Samara's armor in general without making the game skip dialogue?

[NB] This board is getting worse and worse at handling long lines and custom characters... I cannot show you how to mod the lines because the stupid board prevents me.  While you may not be able to read the whole line, it is there, triple click to highlight it all and past it in an editor.  Its too much to wish this board had a [code=auto:0] tag?

arcuido27 wrote...

You need the Shadow Broker DLC for one.

Pick an existing team mate you don't want, and edit a couple of their henchman entries to semi-replace them with Liara. What you're really doing is removing them from the game and then using a stream bind to force Liara into the empty squad member spot.

Pick the edited team mate (who still shows up in the squad selection screen) and load the level as normal.
Once the level has fully loaded and you're running around... then you press your 'stream in Liara' bind.

The only way to edit what weapons Liara carries is to enter some of her data into [SFXGame.SFXPawn_Henchman]. I suggest replacing the same henchman, obviously. By entering her stuff in here you can access and change Liara's inventory in the weapon selection crate on the Normandy and in levels that also feature the weapon selection crate.

Image IPB

Step by step example:

Lets replace Jacob with Liara (sort of)

In this example, the line prefaced with ';' is Jacob's original entry, I've commented it out to turn it off. Find his line in your coalesced.ini and add the semi colon (;) to turn it off.

Under that I've added the new Liara line. This will make it possible to select an 'empty' squad mate from the selection screen. You'll still see Jacob there, but he'll be named Liara (kinky!).

[SFXGame.BioSFHandler_PartySelection]
;lstMemberInfo=(Tag=hench_leading,LoadoutTag=hench_Jacob,StrName=178200,ImageIndex=5,KismetIndex=1,AvailableLabel=IsSelectableLeading,InPartyLabel=InSquadLeading,IsLoyalLabel=IsLoyalLeading,OldLoyaltyLabel=WasLoyalLeading,AppearanceLabel=AppearanceLeading,DeadIndex=196,StrDossierText=178200,StrSpecialty=178200)
lstMemberInfo=(Tag=hench_liara,LoadoutTag=hench_Miranda,StrName=362749,ImageIndex=5,KismetIndex=1,AvailableLabel=IsSelectableLeading,InPartyLabel=Littlewing,IsLoyalLabel=IsLoyalLeading,OldLoyaltyLabel=WasLoyalLeading,AppearanceLabel=AppearanceLeading,DeadIndex=196,StrDossierText=178200,StrSpecialty=178200)

To be able to pick Liara's inventory from weapons crates (you can't equip her from squad selection) comment out Jacob's entry and add Liara's in the same fashion as before.

[SFXGame.SFXPawn_Henchman]
;HenchmenInfo=(className=SFXPawn_Jacob,Tag=hench_leading,PrettyName=178200,HenchAcquiredPlotID=34,HenchInSquadPlotID=22,HenchmanImage="GUI_Codex_Images.Jacob_512")
HenchmenInfo=(className=SFXPawn_Liara,Tag=hench_liara,PrettyName=362749,HenchAcquiredPlotID=34,HenchInSquadPlotID=22,HenchmanImage="SB_Codex_Images.Liara_512")

Finally you need a bind to stream in Liara, once you've landed on a planet.  In this case I've used ALT+L to summon her.

[SFXGame.SFXGameModeBase]
Bindings=( Name="L", Command="StreamLevelIn BioH_Liara_00",Alt=True )

With that done, save and repair your coalesced.ini. Equip Liara from the Normandy weapon crate, and then pick Jacob (named Liara) from the party selection screen. Load the level completely and find yourself with just the one companion. Press your 'summon Liara' bind and she should appear behind you. Don't forget to level her up the first time.
