Greetings, earlier today i have opened the singleplayer lvl, and suddenly, i saw something where i ask myself how it is done?  i don't know how to transform the groundmesh like this...

without textur (wireframe only)

if you max the screen, you hopefully see what i am asking for..

I could create hills, mountains and flat.. but how could i create those things? i mean, its like a clif where a person is able to stand beneath it...
do you (i) have to somehow stretch the groundmesh?? if yes, how could i do that?  hmm is the TS which the community is using,  able to create this at all?

the center of the screenshots has no models, (the grid is standart-color, and models have a green grid like you see at the bottom..) With models like boulders, i am able to create this, but.. how do i do it without a model??

has anyone a hint??

you can create the cliff like that by selecting extrude along normals. which is done on the brush for raising/lowering terrain.

BUT the walkmesh will only allow you to be on the cliff not below it. so it will only be eye candy.

The toolset the community is using is essentially the same one used to create Dragon Age origins (albeit we don't have a light map render farm to call on).

To create an overhang (which I'm assuming is what you mean) then select the Deform tool and, in the Properties grid, change the Deform Mode to Extrude along normal. You may also want to use the Tessellate tool to create a finer mesh (but don't go mad with it because it greatly increases the level file size).
