Yeah, shotguns kinda blow on their own. The only one that is practical is the eviscerator, but even it fires way too slow and only has 3 shots. With the Reverent shotguns are downright piontless and that AR shreds enemies nearly instantly at point blank range. I'd like to be able to pick all the weapons I carry. If I want to carry a Reverent and vindicator(for enemies at long range behind cover) I think I should be able to. Or have some kind of ammo carrier that collects extra clips in place of a weapon slot.

I don't use shotguns unless all my other guns have no ammo, they have no range and terrible rates of fire, so why can't soldiers choose a different shield piercing weapon?Darkhour wrote...

A highly accurate Geth sniper rifle ideal for Infiltrators. Holds 5 rounds per clip. It's main damage is less than that of the Mantis or Viper, but it's headshot damage is 3x that of the Mantis. A one-shot headshot, two-shot bodyshot sniper weapon, similar to the sniper rifles in Halo. And like the pulse rifle, it does extra damage to shields. Sound good?

They need to restore shotguns to their ME1 glory or get rid of them outright (or make it vanguard only). Only a vanguard can use them effectively at close range against enemy groups (inbetween charge spams). But then the game just feels cheap and stupid. Never liked the whole flying through solid objects idea. Even then a reverant would be better at close range than a shotgun.
You would have to be pretty retarded to bring a ME2 shotgun to even a knife fight. Probably just as retarded as a person who wears a helmet everywhere he goes.
ME2 is not a close combat game.

We already have an LMG, just a soldier only, but I'm really hoping for either a sniper rifle, pistol, or AR, the three that have no DLC for them (AR Does but it's collector's only yay for meLord Coake wrote...

I second that. Dual wielding is a lot of fun, I wouldn't kind having dual automatic M4 Shurikens or dual M3 Predators. Thoigh I think they should have both weapons be controlled by the same trigger, like Left For Dead. That way you can still use the LT to zoom, or you're going to have some trouble aiming.

I have been saying this for a while, the assault rifles have the most variety total, but many of them are sucky. I would love to see something like the collector assault rifle, but more accurate, slightly higher ROF, and slightly higher damage. We need more assault rifles and heavy pistols. I like the Vindicator but I want something more powerful and automatic but not as powerful as the Revenant. Keep dual wielding OUT, it's extremely stupid and unecessary.

I agree that the Pulse Rifle needs an upgrade. Maybe fix it so that it's properly positioned on your back, rather than hanging down like that, and give it firepower equal to the Avenger. Also, it should get a 60 round clip.
As to other Geth weapons, there's my Beam Rifle idea I posted ealier, but another good thing to have we be a Geth shotgun. Like this:
Geth Particle Cannon; Automatic shotgun with a 12 round clip, and 60 reserve ammo. Slightly less powerful than the Scimitar, but with a more narrow spread like the Eviscerator, giving it superior range and accuracy. Also has a much higher rate of fire than the Scimitar, and the same shield piercing bonuses as the Pulse Rifle. Good weapon for non-Vanguard classes using shotguns.
