Visors are the only way to go in ME2...They also look pretty damn cool in my opinion.

It wouldn't go as far as to say it's trivial, however. If it was trivial, I'm sure someone would have come up with a mod by now.

It would certainly be hard to add in DLC helmet toggle without the source code and models.

Luckily Bioware has both.

Indeed, indeed.

Unlike in ME1, combat mission areas and explorable areas are distinctly separated in ME2. If nothing else, I would like it if helmets only appeared in mission areas.

Id be thrilled with this as well.  In ME 1, the only time I toggled my helmet on was when I was in a mission area.  It didnt serve any real purpose to do that, but it seemed like the thing to do.  lol

Anyways, it makes sense that Shep would wear it in a combat zone.  Having the helmet toggle in the ship is something I have a major problem with anyways.  And the fact its not even an option at all for most armors is even more troubling.
As it stands for me, because I cant turn it off and on whenever I want, I just always leave it off.  Which means for me at least, it amounts to ME 1 having helmets....and ME 2 does not.  Thats it as far as Im concerned, since I cant switch it on and off whenever I like, I just dont wear it at all.
