The PC version of BC2 has craters and such in the ground if you are purposefully shooting it. It's fairly minor but it's there. It might not be on the console versions.Revan312 wrote...
Like Kaiser said, the Battlefield games, my fav being the newest Bad Company 2, have some of the best destructible environments, to me. Although, at least to my eyes, there isn't any ground deformation from things like explosions, the rest of the objects/buildings are all destructible.

The game I've played most that had a destructible environment was the first Red Faction that came out. However, Force Unleashed beats everything hands down.
You obviously haven't played Red Faction: Guerrilla.

I'm quite certain the console version of '43 also has this, so I assume BC2 does as well.AshedMan wrote...

You pretty much do that in World In Conflict, everything is destructible, entire city's get leveled.

The closest game you can do that in is Sim Earth

Guerrilla has better building destruction but it lacks the terrain destruction you could do in RF1.
Making giant tunnel systems with rocket launchers in RF1 was awesome!
