What do you think of 'dem apples?

I think it's pretty [darn] ridiculous.

Sweet, it seems not swearing has now been deemed swearing.

I've lost my faith in humanity even more now =(

As a fan of Capitalism this news is glorious. As a consumer this news is terrible. But still glorious!

if people bought it, that's their business. it's not like Blizzard's forcing them to buy it.

I bought one. It's pretty.

Consider: I spent 361 days farming one mount. That's twelve months of farming in-game. 12*15=180 dollars on my farmed mount. $25 for a mount that all my characters can use and that scales with my fastest mount. Besides, as an MMO player, I'm already throwing cash down the drain, what's another drop going to do ^________^

Sigh, idiots.

Oh well, "we" recently acquired some of their best developers, so I guess that makes it even.

Just hope it doesn't open the door for this kind of thing happening more often. Charging for in-game content in separate bits is a slippery slope.

This reminds me of the Horse Armor DLC in Oblivion, where everyone was super pissed off that they were charging for it.

It was $2.50, now look at where we are. :P

I couldn't care less if someone wants to throw money away. My only issue is those people are encouraging lesser quality and higher priced DLC (look at what happened with the Sims).

Exactly, I don't want to get screwed due to publishers seeing that people will buy [junk] for outrageous prices, just look at Mw2s stimulus package...

Bad for us gamers who don't like to put our [darned] money in a heap and burn it.

I remember back in '89, the literature class nerd went on a renaissance festival field trip with the class and paid $70 for a "dragon staff". I bet that guy has already bought his WoW horsey mount, and posted screen shots in his Facebook album by now.

Quite True good Sir, the funny thing is that everywhere I've looked, WoW players seem to be rationalising paying $25 for something as pathetic as this...

Leads me to believe that most WoW players would probably all jump off a cliff if Blizzard told them there was dlc at the bottom.

That would be a good thing, though

Just Blizzard feeding off MMO addiction. If I were in their position, I can't say I wouldn't do the same.

Selling items that are more than cosmetic is one hell of a slippery slope. They have now crossed the line. I don't play WoW. I don't really care about it. But until this point, Blizzard had some integrity. That is gone. They are no better than the gold sellers. Expect more to follow.

Did you guys know the original Blizzard management is completely gone? Do you know what Blizzard is actually called now?

Activision Blizzard, Inc.

That explains a lot in regards to this sort of underhanded business, no?

Anyone have any information on this?  As much as  I hate what Blizzard has become, some of the finest developers in the industry have worked for the company.
Which developers have left the company and where did they go?

Underhanded?

LOL there is nothing underhanded about pricing obviously cosmetic skins and pets at 10 and 25 dollars.  That's just taking advantage of a market.
