 Just wondering everyone else's opinion on Ashley William's is these days. Was just on another playthrough with my ME1 import where I romanced Ash, and I still get pissed in the confrontation with her. The first time I sat and stared at the screen chanting "What the hell". I liked her in the first game because of her personality, though it was tough to get over her bigotry and her oddly out of place religious side, and then her only appearance in ME2 and she is basically a **** on wheels. I mean she sends you the note afterwards apologizing but it's not that makes up for it. Thoughts?

By the way before anyone posts the technical reason for this I already knew it, I predicted from the beginning that any characters that could die would have reduced roles, which is why I am afraid then we won't be seeing any of our favorite companions as anything more than dialogue from ME3. Tis the dark side of actually having an impact in the Mass Effect world. Regardless of them needing to downplay those characters because of how much of a waste of man hours it would be to go in depth in a character that part of the community won't even have in their game, I wish that she had opted more for the "I've moved on" speech. Short, simple, not as harsh as "You horrible evil bastard!"

I don't think Ashley is a very good romance Idea. She's definitely a douche bag. I hated her guts in ME1. I wish they collectors took her and processed her in dog food.  Good thing I left her to die on Virmire.

To some extent I agree with you there, she was a serious bigot. To some extent I chose to let her live because Kaiden was seriously uninteresting and chose her as a love interest because Liara was too busy being anti-social and scared of her own shadow all the time to really be much more interesting than Kaiden. But she was far more human than either of them, hate and all.

This is an opinion thread,  am I not entitled to my opinion?  Is an opinion required to be enlightned?  Don't lose your pants over my comment, I can see from your avatar that your an avid fan of Ashley.  I find it funny that you take it personally by directly attacking me.

Not every woman,  has to follow the man around like a lost little puppy. Ash wan't a xenophobe she just didn't trust the aliens right away, since she didn'r know them.

Wait... what?  You make no sense.  I did not even state anything about the choices my character made.  I simply stated that I destested Ashley's personality.  (With some harsh language I'll admit).  And when was a terrorist orginization ever mentioned in this thread?  Are you drunk?

I don't have a problem with her calling me out for being part of Cerberus, I don't like Cerberus in any way shape or form. But considering they rebuilt me and I don't really have a choice in being part of their organization, it is kind of annoying when she doesn't even listen to me when I tell her that I am only with them to stop the Reapers. Like she says we were "in love" and that "we had something" and then jumps to conclusions that I am a traitor, which clearly means she doesn't know my Shep at all.

Ashley/Kaidan/Liara were sidelined in order for them to survive to have large roles in ME3. As to whether I dislike Ashley and Kaidan afterwards, they are sticking to their guns and most people would disapprove of being offered to join essentially a terrorist organization.

/agree with Zamic.  It's very wierd to recieve a kiss from Ashley (assuming you romanced her) and than she opens a Pandora's box in your face.  Kinda makes you hate her guts

I killed Ashley in every playthrough in ME1, because I hate her, so I have never seen her in ME2.

I romanced ashley in 1 and was REALLY suprized about what a **** she was! i used that as my excuse not to stay loyal to her... plus miranda's ass! but no really. i choose her because since liara actually kisses u in 2 if u romanced her in 1 and it just seems like im...cheating on her! i feel like leaving her to blow up, but my canon is to... well thats off topic. in short, she is hard to like, but once you like her, she sh*ts in your mouth! and not in the good way!

Is it just me or are the only characters who are consistent in their actions and opinions are Garrus, Tali, and Wrex, the other two/three change a great deal for some reason.

It's not just you lol. You could always say that time changed them, but it doesn't seem like with Ashley or Kaiden they would be so disillusioned in you, or with Liara should would all of a sudden become a revenge bent information broker.

You cant blaim her for how she reacted after all the crap she seen Cerberus do in ME1 and just after seeing Shepard two years after Shepard's death. She is shocked, happy and angry at the same time she dosent know what to do. And speak to Anderson after Horizon ask him about Ash and then select i thought we were friends, he tells you Ash was giving evidence to support you to the council, she was actually helping you, she aint gonna go awol though and ruin her family name in the Alliance for life, but she can help you from where she is and thats what she is doing.



And i must add this, my uncle was murdered by the IRA a terrorist orginisation like Cerberus (obveously without the same funding) If i found out one of my friends was working with them, i would never forgive them i would probably beat them to a pulp. If i was Ash, there would have been no letter. Ash had nothing to apologise for when Shepard was being a di** and making out that Cerberus are good like he's there dam spokesman, and at the end what do you know Ash was right.
