THAT, at least, is a very old RPG trope necessary for the sanity of the players (at least if you want armor as loot, which is ALSO an old trope), while the stripperific non-armor is just idiotic and annoying.wizardryforever wrote...
The issue of Miranda (and others, like Jack) wearing less than protective wear to a firefight is just as silly to me as being able to transfer the same suit of armor from Ashley to Kaidan, or MaleShep to Liara. Like all armor automatically fits everyone or something. <_<

True, but there ARE games where certain armor only fits certain races (ME1 and Arcanum come to mind) but I can't think of any where male and female armor is separate. It would probably just give feminists another non-reason to be upset at men. Why can't we wear the same armor? We demand to be treated the same!

It's 'special' armour, made of a delicate blend of unobtainium and handwavium.

I can see how Shepard wields armor as he/she was trained for it and stuff but I'm not sure why Miranda SHOULD wear it as well.

Since I don't use DLC armour because of the helmet issue, I'm wondering if anyone has any pics of a female Shep in Cerberus Assault Armour, Terminus Armour, or Inferno Armour? I'd really like to see what Miranda would look like wearing armour in missions, as it should be.
I would like to see that as well.
Heck I would like to see that with all the ME2 NPCs. Only Grunt, Tali (well in the suit she always wears), and Garrus bother to change for missions.

Kinetic Barriers are in for something though, ablative armour can help but it's not THAT much of a help when shields are down (i.e. doesn't matter what you wear you're pretty much down if shields go out) also, it requires strength to wear, possibly limits movement speed etc...

It wouldn't hurt to wear a light armor like Liara in ME 1...

Well, IMO everyone wearing ablative armor in ME1 was more justified (because they were mostly all military/security ops/mercenaries) but a little bit strange still, specially Liara which aside from skirmishes with bandits and pirates had never have been part of any mercenary band or had training...exxxed wrote...

Many people might find it strange for ME2's characters to no wear it but I think it's more realistic, not everyone should be able to wear ablative armor just like that.

It could be taken in some ways, but one must infer that due to the nature of ablative plating, it is naturally lightweight.Dual layer of fabric armor and kinetic padding within a lightweight ablative ceramic shell. Comes standard with a suite of communication, navigation, and battlefield awareness software.
People have their own opinions, but trying to tell me Samara's space-cleavage, Jack's '96% of her body exposed to hard vacuum', Miranda's, Jacob's, Mordin's and almost everyone else's except Tali and Garrus's 'DON'T WORRY ABOUT SPACE, I'VE GOT A BREATHER MASK' things are more realistic than suits of armour hardsealed for hostile conditions is ridiculous. Especially when you consider Shepard is the only one who needs to put on a reasonable suit of armour to fight people. What, did the Lazarus Project fail to upgrade his/her ability to sit around in deep space with nothing but a supply of oxygen?
I don't find it strange, well, I do. But I really just find it annoying, immersion-breaking and unrealistic.

I support Armor "outfits" for squadmembers. Characters like Miranda, Samara, Thane, Kasumi, Mordin and even Jacob need armor. I would much rather see these characters wearing armor than clothing.
edit - I don't understand the OP, but I stand by my suggestion above.
I concur.

I was thinking that too, but having looked again I think it would be far too bulky for her, on Jacob it would look good though.SpiderFan1217 wrote...
Her and Jacob would probably wear Cerberus Assult Armor. She'd look good in it.
Miranda would probably want the Inferno armour anyway since it helps with negotiation and powers - her speciality.
Regarding squadmate armour, I really think it would be awesome if we could put DLC armour onto the squadmates. Most people I'm betting would use N7 armour for Shep, so generally speaking the DLC armour is unused. But if you could put it on squadmates who don't have armour, it makes the game more 'realistic' (relatively speaking) and you get use out of your DLC armour.

lol, okay essentially what I'd li9ke to see if Miranda's head photoshopped onto a femshep body whilst wearing armour, such as the Inferno Armour. The reason for this is I'm curious as to what Miranda would look like whilst wearing armour as opposed to her "I'm sure it'll stop bullets even though it barely stops light" suit.
I bet you're jealous of my l33t photoshop skillz.
Warning: May explode your mind with teh suck.

I probably could have made that look acceptable if I tried. Meh. By the way, I know that the screenshot is the male armour, but they look about the same, anyway.

I used my less-than-awesome skills to try and put Miranda's head on an Inferno armour. The results are thus:

You missed out the head's shadow.
And the boobs. She doesn't fit there.
Actually, that's a good reason why she isn't wearing any armor
To me, the worse is the game implying you can be in space only with an oxygen sourceand a mask. Yeah, sure, vacuum lack of pressure and low temperatures don't bother anyone

I for one actually like the different outfits everyone wears. It sets them apart versus in ME1 where everyone was generic.
