I kill flemeth because I'm friends with Morrigan, and I promise Morrigan that I will kill her. My characters tend to do what they say they will and be very careful about what they say they will do. :)

Being duplicitous just doesn't seem to work out for me when I'm rping. :P And out of the two, Morrigan or Flemeth, Morrigan *seems* to be more up-front. (or she's just better at being sneaky; that 'I'm basically old and forgetful and nuts' routine Flemeth pulls just doesnt' fly with me).

I always felt a bit of a heel for killing the woman who saved my life, even if she is an abomination. I have spared her on a few runs but usually I'll do it because Morrigan is my friend or lover. And let's be honest...for the exp.

If you have to kill Flemeth in order to get Morrigan to bed you.....

Well you've already lost anyway:kissing:

I don't know about bad, but it is a little bit poor taste considering she saved you and all. Although I don't feel any thing about it because Morrigan says you aren't really killing her and I do believe her on that. Besides its a fight with a dragon why wouldn't you want to? Posted Image

I mean I've killed her when I'm actually trying to bed Morrigan but other than that I just leave her alone if i'm after exp I just go into the Aeducan tahig or whatever find all the parts of the fade beast and kill it (not mention the packets of darkspawn in Aeducan)

It kinda' sucks. Morrigan, for all troublesome behaviors and disapproval, is still my comrade, so I'm not too keen on betraying her, but without Flemeth, my ass would be up a certain creek without a paddle. At the same time, though I'm reluctant to turn against either of them, I don't fully trust them either, and know full well the both of them are using me for their own purposes. And whatever those are, I'd rather not find out. Just no way to stay out of this little "spat" between the two and to get out of it without compromising yourself.

Ah well, it ultimately proved to be a learning experience. Late in the game, I came to be quite proficient in the art of manipulation and betrayal myself.

Do not fret...Morrigan will be able to defend her herself against Flemeth shoud the occasion ever arise. She will learn from the real grimoire just how to do that.

If Morrigan will learn how to defend herself from Flemeth using the real Grimoire...then why does Flemeth just give it to you if you opt not to kill her? Why does she suggest offering it to Morri as a trophy? Think it's really going to be all that effective in protecting her?

The XP isn't any biggie and you can get the grimoire + the robes without a fuss. Morrigan never questions you, whether or not you did kill Flemeth. As long as you don't turn the grimoire to her and her approval is between 50 and100 (romance on), you can have your way with her anyway.

That's because her sidequest is bugged. There is a missing cutscene.

Keep an eye on this mod. For now you can only see it in the toolset.

Yeah, been following that thread. Surely not telling her felt like cheating from day 1. Glad, you reminded of that in here, too.

It's a shame that cutscene didn't make it into the game... Hopefully we'll get the mod soon...

The outcomes are interesting...

Yep, its a fantastic scene. The initial release is nearly good to go.. The only things that won't be in for the first release are:

- Denerim Gates dialog fixes (of which I think there is one line that needs fixing). I think the issue with this is fixed in ejoslin's ZDF mod.

- Denerim Gates kiss scenes, Charsen will be working his magic on this as part of his Gatekisses mod.

- Dark Ritual missing kiss scene referenced in the scripting comments, I may or may not attempt to add this in for the initial release. Probably not.

the most important fixes are in and working, I'm hoping to release the first version maybe... tomorrow, so I might need some beta testers :)

I wasn't sure I should kill her, but she herself said, "Ah, there are far more reasons to kill me than you realize!"

So I went for it.

I never kill Flemeth except for the first play many months ago, i can not repay the kindness of her saving Allistair and my lives with a blade. Flemeth's motivations for why she saved us is irrelevant, i live to fight another day because Flemeth made that possible. My ultimate triumph over the AD is in part because Flemeth gave me the opportunity to be the right person at the right time. All of Feraldin owes Flemeth big time. Regardless of the family spat between Flemeth and Morrigan i look at it like this, would i rather have Flemeth or Morrigan continue to exist, Flemeth wins easily. She appears to be more alturistic in her motivations as opposed to Morrigan's amoralistic stance on just about everything that has no direct benefit for Morrigan. Ask yourself this question, Would Morrigan have risked rescuing you and Allistair from the top of the tower? I think Morrigan would have walked away, and you all know it is true, she might have been more apt towards the end of the game but not when you first meet her, Flemeth wins every time, no contest.

In the end, as she seems to have the power to return, I cannot say it is technically bad.

It was a real decision the first playthrough, having not read the novels or the forums much. The biggest issue for me was this woman protects the treaties... and then saves you and Alistair. That's pretty much your interaction with her in the game and she has helped you both times. Other than that, you never see her do anything evil, all you have are the rumors of legend and Morrigan's tales. And it didn't help that on the first playthough, I had just slept with Morrigan when she brought the issue up. Felt a little manipulative... (thought of (chuckles) Waynes World II where Kim Bassingers character seduces Garth only to get him to kill her husband),

Waited very close to the end of the game and decided I believed Morrigan was in danger, and killed her.

I mentioned this in another thread, but did anyone notice that when you return to Flemeth, she is wearing a Circle mage robe instead of her raggedy dress? Strange, eh? What has she been up to?

You know, I never noticed that till my last playthrough and I was wondering myself.

I always kill her. Sometimes I'm really good friends with Morrigan, and that's what friends do. Most of the time, however, my team- big or little as it may be- comes first. My PC is a horrendous Warden (except for the part for being able to summon allies and killing the Archdemon) and she puts a lot of emphasis on protecting her party. Flemeth is a threat to a team player, therefore Flemeth must die.

That is very interesting. I have noticed that before but I didn't really think about it much. Hmm... is this some kind of hint of a change in Flemeth?

I killed her once, when I was romancing Morrigan, but aside from that I always let Flemeth live. I mean, both of them are using you, but you owe Flemeth more than you do Morrigan. Not to mention, my characters are mostly NG, and wouldn't kill someone for less than fully disclosed reasons, not even for a friend. Besides, even Morri says Flemeth isn't totally dead, so killing her is useless and just makes you kind of an ingrate. :/

LOL. You know, if my BFF's mother was a fire breathing dragon IRL, I'd slay her too.
