Back in ye old days of Baldur's Gate playing that through co-op was a blast. I can't remember if that was part of the game or a mod however.
And unfortunate it tended to take a few hours of troubleshooting to get all of the computers working at a LAN party.

I got an idea about this some month ago but stay stuck at the end. The idea was to have a mod that listen all event and log them in the log txt file. Then use this file with an other app, as a daemon, that read this file and spread data to other player computers.
The problem is to create event on other player computer after reading this file. Because I didn't find a way to read external dynamic data from a script...

there is one file the game read and it's the profile.dap that contain things like achievements. so if you high jacked it and used achievements to trigger events. you could update the system each time the player start a new play season.

So I take it no one is upto the challenge of creating an MP mod?
Doesnt need to be MMO, just 4 players would do.
This could work guys. I think we need to form a team.
We could call our selfs The Legion of the Dead (The LoD (Not to be confused with Legion of Doom)!
The Mod could be set in the DeepRoads after Origns and sees a 4 player team of Dwarvs pushing the DarkSpawn back (hinting that this is what forces them out of the other entrance in Awakening!)
This way, we can make it 'battle only' if thats all thats possible, but still leave the option open for further develoment into Story or Plot development.
You know it makes sence, team, and you know it can be done.
Some guys turned Oblivion into a Coop MP.
Others created an MP mod for GTA3 (multiTheft Auto).
Granted they wernt floorles, but they worked.
Its time to bring Ferelden into a new age!
"The MultiPlayer age!"...
(We may want to think up a new project name, but its a start!)

I have heard Bioware have dissaproven in this.
I would recommend Bioware to make this as an expansion or DLC to enable a multiplayer mode for co-op or PvP. I bet many would buy it to add another 100 hours upon their 200 hours. Allthough a vast majority of players ranging from lv1 to lvl40 in one match would make things easy for some and impossible for some.

I'm still gobsmacked that Bioware didn't even do co-op multiplayer. This game would get a lot more play time if they did.
Especially as you can now buy the game on steam, the ultimate multiplayer assist tool yet.

I'm not; they didn't think the addition of co-op would be worth all the extra work. I believe David Gaider has even said as much, as have some of the other developers. It's not just a matter of adding a networking layer, like some people think; there are UI considerations (Inventory, among other things), how they handle Plot NPCs being where they need to be, as well as where the story would start.

I remember seeing an article from 2004 saying that the (later removed, obviously) Dragon Age multiplayer would remove most of the cutscenes to keep everyone playing. Can you imagine nothing but combat for 30+ hours, even with buddies? It makes the Deep Roads look like a thumbtack next to a long, rusty nail...
