 I can download it well and fine in Mass effect2 but not in Dragon age, here is what it looks like



I think i registered the promotions before i registered the game, how can i fix this

Composite, maybe I'm not understanding your question, but if you are trying to download for the PC...the items would be downloaded in game.   You start up the game and from title screen select...."Downloadable Content".  Remember you will need to login from inside your game (bottom left hand side.)

In-game it says "Avalable content" with nothing below it. Nothing currently downloading and nothing installed. I'm logged in

I was afraid of that. A lot of folks have problems with that....what OS are you using?

It should work. My explanation below assumes some knowledge of your computer ...otherwise you'll be lost.

You'll need to go to the directory you installed DA:O to. Look for the "bin_ship" folder. Inside that folder there there are two files: daupdatersvc.service.exe, and daorigins.exe. Right click on each file, select properties, and set "Run this program as administrator." I don't remember specifically in properties tab for vista it is, but it should easy to find.

The problem CAN be the result of the DAUpdater service not starting due to any number of reasons firewalls, virus scanners, blah blah. Once you made the above changes, start the game again. Alt & Tab out to your desk, use task manager, look at services tab, make sure the service called "DAUpdaterSvc" shows "Running" under status. If so, go back to the game, go "Downloadable content"...you may have leave/comeback once or twice, but your items should show up. NOTE: it can take a minute or so for the service to start.

EDIT:  If the service is not running in task manager, you can manual start it but by right clicking and selecting "start service"

Doesn't matter. I recommend installing now, I found Shale very useful. You'll won't be able to do the quest until after Lothering, so don't shocked when it doesn't show up on your map. If I remember correctly, you'll get a codex or message meaning the quest is available once you are almost finished with Lothering.

I don't use the Steam service.



Nothing against Steam personally, just use other services or buy retail
