Udina got in the way of my hunt for Saren.

I won't let him live and definitely won't let him be in the council.

Anderson. The man never lost faith in Shepard the entire course of the game. You know that age had nothing to do with him not helping Shep in ME2 either- the poor man was politcally hand tied.

I opted for Udina once.... and his speech was so creepy I reloaded and choose Anderson again. Even a paragon, Udina just comes off power hungry and arrogant

I initially chose Anderson because I thought a big war with the Reapers was brewing, and I thought having a seasoned military veteran would bring valuable balance to the Council (the other military vet being the turian, since all turians have military careers.)

After playing ME2 and seeing that it becomes much more of a political game, I went back and chose Udina. I also kept the Council alive, because my Shepard doesn't get along with them at all. Conflict is interesting, so having Udina + original Council should lead to some great fireworks in ME3.

I choose Amassador Udina. After the Council was dead and Udina and I began talking about humanity taking over it was clear that Anderson was not really on board. Udina however had a clear picture of the situation and what it would take to consolidate our power, so to him went the nomination. I don't regret it either. I am disappointed that he eventually decided to disbelieve the Reaper threat (he gives such an awesome speech), but at least he is expanding and reinforcing human power.

I suspect the batarians are up to something as well and Udina went so far as to attack one of their production facilities with a stealth frigate. Reaching out with trade is great, but that doesn't keep enemies from working behind your back. We're better off hitting them with N7 marines.

Actually, at the end of ME1I said it's not my decision, then in ME2 I'm asked who did I choose :-\\ but failing that I always pick Anderson, Udina is a s**t.

Anderson, he's Shepards friend and having a friend who can pull strings from high places is always a good thing, and as shep himself says, theres already to many polticians on the counil, plus he's a badass :)
